  ### 8. Meets our needs well

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica W. | Product Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Easy to use and interface with a lot of different individuals working on tasks.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I wish the AI translations were a bit more sophisticated.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Translating our customer interface

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Hi Jessica,

Thank you for your feedback! Regarding AI translations, could you share more details about what’s not working as expected? I’d be happy to help you set up AI to get the most out of it.

For example, we could optimize your workflow with our AI Context Harvester, Pre-Translate, and AI Proofreading features. Feel free to email me at diana@crowdin.com, and we can discuss this further.

Looking forward to helping you! 😊

  ### 9. Continuity with sales evaluation and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The support we received when evaluating as well as during implementation has been very helpful. I made some assumptions about the platform being harder to use or lacking in features compares to the competition, but once I made a spreadsheet of our needs, it was an obvious choice to go with Crowdin.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The UI feels a bit clunkier than some of the competition, but the features are there and the pricing is superior.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were previously connecting with a translation provider that was hard to geto work orders from. Additionally, we were manually tracking all the changes. Crowdin gives us a source of truth for our translations as well as handles duplicates for us. We can save money and provide a better experience to our users in other languages.

  ### 10. User friendly interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** (EXTERNAL) Toshio W. | Team Lead Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The progress of a task is visually and color-coded.
Smart translation suggestions.
Ease of switching window layouts.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

An error that sometimes occurs when having "< >" in the text .

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help translate Help Center articles written in English into local languages.

  ### 11. A delightful experience for translators, project administrators since 10 years - a game changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florian R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

We use Crowdin for translating our open-source project (GDevelop), and we've doing it for 10 years! It has been a life changer for our project and for translators.

The interface is clear, easy to use and a new translator can get started very quickly - which is very important for us. The "proofreader" role allows us to set the best translator as proofreader so they can review existing translations.

Thanks to Crowdin API and command line tools, we automatically get new translations into our software without manual intervention. This means our community can take part into the translation work, without technical knowledge required for translators, and have their translations included in the software in a few days or hours.
Customer support is also extremely fast (our last question got answered in <20 minutes).
We also from time ordered paid translations from professional translators directly from Crowdin - the integration is super easy and 100% handled by Crowdin.

Thanks to Crowdin, we have community made translations for more than 30 languages, including 10 languages with almost 100% translation completion. This result is impressive and the Crowdin platform is important in this success.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

A way to automatically promote the best translators into proofreaders would be great.
Sometimes it's hard to see when bad quality translations have been added (there are QA checks, but a "health indicator" would be maybe more useful - we have a LOT of source strings and languages so we can't check everything).

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting our app translated into 30 languages thanks to our community translators as well as professional translators.

  ### 12. Easy and useful tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia S. | Freelance Italian Linguist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I especially love the "overlay" option, because as a translator context is very important. It's very intuitive and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I can't think of anything that I don't like

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The possibility to see if there's a match and how a word was translated in the past in the same project is great to maintain consistency

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Thank you for highlighting the overlay option (In-Context tool) as a useful feature for maintaining context while translating. We all know that context is king. Appreciate your positive feedback!

  ### 13. Great Crowd-Sourced translation platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anke S. | Contractor as Assistant to Localization Project Manager YouVersion, a digital mission of Life.Church, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The organisation I get to work for has translators around the world - a crowd, if you will. They get to log in at any time, translate, review and approve strings, using the benefit of suggestions from translation memory.
As I get to manage projects every day, I really like that we can share translation memory across different projects, and run it to fill in strings that were used previously and need to be used again.
Adding screenshots to our strings is super helpful as we work virtually and don't get on phone/video calls with our volunteers worldwide to verbally explain to them were and in which context strings will be published in our mobile apps or on the web.
At-mentioning contributors in a string that triggers an email so they can find the string in question with a click saves a lot of time.
Customer support is superb!

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It would be great to see if someone else is working on a string that I am about to work on. We've also seen that some browsers can get pretty slow in our biggest projct, so it takes longer than expected to see strings saved.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been using Crowdin daily for 6-7 years, and have been able to localized several apps and our web with translators from around the world with a translation platform that can be used 24/7.

  ### 14. Great Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I most like the AI translations. Overall I also like the product experience.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It becomes hard to manage more than 20 languages.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Translating large pieces of text

  ### 15. CrowdIn Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateusz T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I love CrowdIn as a product - easy to use and it just works. It supports variety of translation formats and translation flows, the UI is clean and encouraging and it is simple to understand - even if you are just an integrator without expertise in translations.
CrowdIn has good integration with GitLab and GitHub, which allowed us to automate everything as a part of CI/CD pipeline.
We did not have to use the customer support - the interface is mostly self-explanatory (with the exception of synchronization settings). We were able to migrate from our legacy, self-hosted solution in a matter of hours.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I don't like the fact that pricing is based on the number of managers on top of translated words. As with any similar pricing model, it makes it less flexible, either forces you to spend time managing your accounts, or bite the bullet and overspent.
I prefer SaaS products where pricing is a only function of value they bring, charging for seats feels artificial and unfair.

Overall UX is great, except for setting up the integration with GitHub - configuring branches and synchronization is unintutive, it takes a while to understand how to set it up correctly.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Localization is a minor activity for our product, we use it only for selected end-user facing features. We need a solution that is easy to understand and "just works", without brininging additional complexity or maintenance. Crowdin is prefectly fullfiling these needs, saving time of our engineers.

  ### 16. Crowdin as a product is changing the way we handle our translations, all for much better.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Callum R. | Programme Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It allows us to use many more file formats, mainly XLF files, this has allowed us to translate many more materials. We are now looking to use Crowdin for all of our translations, including our main platform.

The user expereince is also a huge positive, everything is very clear and easily understandable. As a very frequent user I can say the time saved day to day with Crowdin is really valuable.

Last and certainly not least, the customer support has been by far the best I have had from any company in a business to business setting. Very fast responses and always willing to jump on a call to help go through anything. I was in contact with Oleh Guralnyi, and he was incredibly helpful.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

So far I have had no major issues, and any minor ones have been from my own understanding. When any minor issues came up Oleh from Crowdin would explain to me, the issues would never come back,

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- The time for translations are much much quicker, this is of course very beneficial.
-The quality of the translations are much better, we use deepL on crowdin. It saves even more time for other members of the team.
-It allows us to use a better range of file formats such as XLF, this allows us to use more materials we want translated.

  ### 17. Powerful tooling to simplify coordination on i18n

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thorben W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The range and quality of tooling from CLI to UI based makes collaboration between translators and developers super easy. It also makes adoption very simple and supports various workflows to add, update and manage translations. We are in the process of adopted crowdin for all our repos to make translations consistent and complete.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Pricing after the basic plan (which is well worth the money) is on the higher end and the jump can be hard to justify. However sometimes workarounds (branches and dev accounts) are needed in the basic plan that should be easier to solve or cheaper to upgrade for.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing all translations into one place where its easy to add, update and manage translations across all projects and repos. Generating files based on any input source (json, ts/js, xml, properties, html and many many more) is a very powerful tool to simplify and unlock translations across all kinds of products. It reduces time spent on thinking about translations during development significantly. It also eliminates coordination issues after the fact.

  ### 18. It helps to speed up work and quickly or introduce new functions in different languages

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It is easy to search in previous translations how something was labelled

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I do not receive notifications of new translation requests by e-mail

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have different languages, some countries with the same languages but different words, Crowndin helps to speed up the work

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that Crowdin helps speed up your work and streamline translations across different languages.

Regarding your concern about not receiving notifications for new translation requests, there are two things that could be causing this. First, please check your account settings to ensure that notifications for new strings are enabled. Additionally, the project owner or manager needs to enable notification settings at the project level to ensure they are sent out.

We hope this helps, and if you need assistance with adjusting these settings, feel free to reach out to our support team.

  ### 19. Localize in a easy way

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

We need several languages in our application

We as the customer ops team can easily translate strings into German or edit translation when needed

  ### 21. Great solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

- easy to use from translator, manager and developer points of view
- multiple ways to manage translation at backend, easy to implement and integrate
- great response time of support (and it is really rarely needed)

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

- failed webhooks called do not resend later

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to translate ma web application to multiple languages. It allows users to translate the app they use - so wherever I have a user - I have need to translate and translator(s) to do it.

  ### 22. Great tool for loc teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anastasia C. | Language Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is a great platform used by our team and vendors that covers almost all our needs, allows integrations and provides machine translation.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I'd love to have search in target language through all projects.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tool and TM for localization the product

  ### 23. The best translation service I've ever used.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Incredibly convenient and straightforward interface.
A large number of supported source file formats.
The functionality is directly aimed at speeding up the translation process.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I did not find any downsides for myself. Everything works clearly and as expected.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helped me organize all the texts and translations of the programs in one place. It works very well as a single source of truth. This helps businesses speed up the translation process.

  ### 24. Neutral experience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Customer support through our channel and the interface.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

When creating tasks and assigning those to linguists, they don't get blocked and can be translated by the rest of the community.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 25. Absolutely positive experience with Crowdin – highly recommended!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hanna Z. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

What I like best about Crowdin is definitely their amazing support team. They're incredibly friendly and always there to help with any questions I have. Andriy, in particular, was fantastic and really went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed.

Overall, I highly recommend Crowdin. Once you get the hang of it, you realize how convenient it is for translating projects. Features like providing screenshots for context and visualizing translations in the design really simplify the whole process. Crowdin makes translating our projects efficient and accurate, which is incredibly valuable.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

At first, the interface can be a bit tricky to navigate, and it takes some time to get used to it. We also faced some issues with the Crowdin plugin for Figma, but when we reported them, the team fixed everything quickly, so we could get back to translating our project smoothly.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It would be really helpful if there was an option to add labels from the plugin directly to existing keys. I found myself having to add labels manually through Crowdin, which was quite time-consuming.

  ### 26. Simple and straightforward

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankur G. | Senior Fullstack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Easy to use UI.
Customer support.
Integration with multiple git platforms.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I have not found yet anything to dislike. I struggled a bit to find how to make the automatic conversion initially, but got cleared after reading the documentation.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using crowding for automatic Translation Management.

  ### 27. Amazing integrations systems

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina L. | Solutions Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is one of the best tool for integrations with the client's sistems.
We have implemented CLI and the client is able to push and pull translations with just a few clicks.
Customer support has been amazing in helping both the client and us (LSP) in creating the integration and meeting our needs of project managers and number of words hostes.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Each project needs to be set up individually and there's no possibility to update the same information in batches.
Adding members to the projects can take a bit of time but once it is done you're ready to go

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The client needed to streamline their translation process and with the CLI integration they can do that with just few clicks and receive translation with less work both on the devs and project manager's work.

  ### 28. Complete and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Our company is a small software house that utilizes Crowding to effectively manage translations on our React project. The seamless integration with GitHub simplifies the process and ensures a worry-free experience. Although the software is extensive, it is user-friendly and easy to grasp. Initially, we utilize the free tier for starting projects and then upgrade to the professional pricing as the projects gain momentum. One feature that stands out to us is the role attribution, which allows us to limit access for different user roles such as managers, developers, translators, and proof-readers. This enables us to share a link with our clients, empowering them to handle specific business translations. This not only streamlines communication but also minimizes unnecessary back-and-forth exchanges with the client.
We are using this service quite often especially on projects that are past the MVP phase and start getting an active user base to upgrade the translations base on user feedback.
Really important to note that their customer support is maybe one of the most reactive I've ever experienced (less than a minute to answer and constructive help provided under 15 mins.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Sometimes the amount of feature can be a bit overwehlming. But overall no big drawbacks.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to interact with the codebase to handle the translations. Add automatic quality Machine translations. Reduce the interactions with the clients when it come to translations.

  ### 29. Crowdin is in your browser always ready to translate more!

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

We’ve been using Crowdin for 2 years now and really happy with our Crowdin Enterprise plan.
Crowdin does not require any heavy installations on your PC, it is in the cloud which makes the lives of both managers and translators so much easier. No more manual hustle with files editing, strings extractions and upload-download to your desktop.
We highly appreciate Crowdin’s almost 24/7 support, prompt responses to our queries and willingness to help even if it entails building new solutions from scratch. Great team of in-house developers.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Hard to name anything. Probably it could be beneficial to have more support videos on Crowdin YouTube channel for newbies. But also the Crowdin interface is pretty intuitive and after some practice the process becomes super easy.

**Recommendations to others considering Crowdin:**

Consider making Crowdin a part of your everyday routine. We successfully integrated CrowdIn with Bitbucket, Figma, Zen Desk, Hubspot, Google Drive, Slack, Proz-payments and there are hundreds more plugins available to choose from if needed.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Crowdin we managed to reduce our translations-related costs significantly. It is easy to pay translators and easy to communicate with them efficiently. Providing context - is just a couple of clicks. Great time savings.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is easy to use, and has some good pre-translation options. It's decently proced for what it offers. Crowdin support is excellent - very responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Pluging (to Intercom or Figma) are sometimes wonky and fail to work for no reason. Such cases are hard to troubleshoot.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enables quick tranlations and has maintains language consistency

  ### 32. Localisation process moved to the new level

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vasiliy G. | VP of engineering, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I like that we have one place to gather translations for all the products and user-facing interfaces we develop. The speed of delivering localization is spectacular.
The work of developers is now completely decoupled from translation/localization. Fewer dependencies less time you need to sync everybody on everything.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

So far all good. What can be improved is how billing of additional services is done, but that is really trivial.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster time to deliver,
All translations are in one place
Straightforward process to translate/review/approve

  ### 33. It is a useful instrument.

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The ease of use for both users and admins, along with its easy integration and implementation.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

In the Georgian language, there are no lowercase and uppercase characters, but Crowdin still throws errors. This has been a pain point for my translators when using it.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

{"translation":"<html><body><h1>Welcome to the World of Unknown Language</h1><p>Explore the mysteries of this language and <strong>uncover</strong> its secrets.</p><ul><li>Learn the basics</li><li>Practice daily</li><li>Connect with others</li></ul><p>Start your journey today!</p></body></html>"}

  ### 34. One of the most efficient tools to manage software localization projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uma V. | Junior Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

1. Friendly Interface
2. seamless integration
3. Exceptional Translation Memory & Glossary features
4. User support
5. Real-time Collaboration Features

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

1. Too many features
2. Expensive for retail users- Limited free version
3. Bugs- Occassionally
4. Suits high volume projects, not for smaller teams.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is one of the best solutions, I found useful to manage high volume projects.

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Thank you for sharing how Crowdin has benefited you in managing high-volume projects. We're committed to providing solutions that meet the needs of our users.

  ### 35. Good translation product with minor flaws

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is a great translation product for small teams, and most of the features work just like we need them to. Their customer support is very responsive, too.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

We're too small for the Enterprise product, but we miss some of its features in the normal Team plan. For example, team member management is a hassle. It's also not ideal that a project belongs to a single person and not an organization. For us, this made AI translations very tedious to set up.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing teams of translators and translations for continuous localization of a software project

  ### 36. I'm on a free plan. And support still works fine

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arina B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I was trying to compare crowdin and smartcat. Tallking about support the difference is crusial. Crowdin responds to my emails in 8 minutes. Smartcat replies never!

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There is no marketplace of freelance translators as in smartcat. And if you are new to localisation, it may be unclear how to work with vendors.

What do crowdin and smartcat have in common?

They both send you a welcome email offering to schedule a call to discuss all the possibilities. When you pick a time, they confirm the call, which you wait about 2 days for.

On the day of the call, when half an hour is left before the meeting, they write to you in an email that you are not a company and not a business, so we will not meet with you, sorry, we have such rules.

Ok! PE does not count)

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin is an integrated solution that I can use by creating tasks for professional proofreading or translations

  ### 37. Surprisingly well though out software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louis C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The GitHub integration is great and really removes the usual pains of dealing with translations. Having new strings and new translations in sync with the source code is invaluable.
The tools provided to translator clearly understand the common issues that need to be solved when translating software: string length differences, variable names that should not be translated, etc.
Customer support is responsive and will actually help you find solutions to your problems.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Onboarding could be easier, your are initially dropped into your dashboard without much guidance and have to figure things out by yourself which will take a bit of trial and error at first.
Integration with some languages/file formats is sometimes opinionated and does not offer simple toggles.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps us manage the the translation of our SaaS software without wasting engineering time exporting and importing translation files to and from various translation teams.

  ### 38. Good tool to manage translations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I can communicate easily with translators through the system.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The UI is not really intuitive, I had to ask colleagues to onboard me to the platform.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing all translations of our product portfolio.

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We're happy to hear that you find it easy to communicate with translators through Crowdin. We appreciate your thoughts on the UI and will continue to work on making it more intuitive for users.

  ### 39. Absolutely positive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daria M. | Localization Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

We have been using Crowdin for 4 years so far for continuous localization of our app and web services. I enjoy the interface and super friendly and helpful support team. They are literary the best and are ready to help you with any question anytime. Love the fact that it's super customizable to your needs.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I'm not sure if it's on our side or not. Still, we've been experiencing some problems with Android platform and Crowdin - perhaps, due to security reasons our developers are unable to push strings from the branches to dev folder - as a result many mistakes occur.
Nevertheless, the Support team helped figure this out and build a process for the Android project.
Also, I was unable to make Figma plugin work - though this functionality seems very helpful if you work with mock-ups a lot. And lastly, there seems to be a mismatch when you try to upload a TB from another CAT tool. It simply doesn't allow you to do so (or, perhaps, it only happens with TBs from SmartCAT)

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All strings of the app and website are stored & translated there.

  ### 40. Initial struggles to

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nibu T. | Director Information Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The folks at Crowdin are very friendly and always try to help.
The solutions they have and the hacks they come up with to solve a particular problem are pretty impressive.
Support is very prompt. You get an instant response on chat.
If there's one thing thats the best - it's Andriy - their head of customer support. He's ever willing to jump on a call and help sort out issues. And we have had a ton!

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Not the most easy to use tool. There are several ways to do the same thing. And this is confusing. Needs a lot more usability testing.
There's no context available to the translator.
We use a lot of screenshots (our content is technical). When it is pulled in through an integration, there's a lot of breakage! There's also no context. Only the string is pulled in and the translator doesn't see the screenshot. This makes the entire translation less than useful.
The support team try their best to help, and are very prompt. They do take pains to send screen recordings when something is not clear.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A single platform to manage translation.

  ### 41. Excellent localization tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Easy to set up.
Minimal maintenance required.
Mostly good translations.
Reasonably fast translation times.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Prices could be better.
Some translations of terms in specific topics or fields are not so good.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expand our international customer reach.
Help automate the localization of our software.
Ensure translations are accurate and reliable.

  ### 42. One of the best support experiences

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin has one of the best support teams out there.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Some aspects of the UX are overcomplicated.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps my team collaborate while translating multi-language websites.

  ### 43. Crowdin is a perfect tool to manage a multilingual website

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The ease of use once implemented and the collaborative work

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

In the way my role needs Crowdin, I have nothing against it.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps manage multilingual websites and, together with the coordination of the translation and development team, makes any functionality very easily scalable.

  ### 44. Makes localisation so much easier to manage.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

We have been using CrowdIn for 4 or 5 years now, and it has made our localisation process so much easier to manager as an ongoing concern. It's very easy to add new translators or proofreaders, to ringfence them into a subset of languages, and to review and approve their translations. The process for exporting is also very simple, and has made our overall process of localisation at least twice as fast as it was before.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It can be difficult to add a new language, but that is partially because we have a custom build output. Also, it is not clear if it is possible to remove a contributor from a project without removing their contributions as well.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to using CrowdIn, we had no solid structure for managing translations. We had resorted to using spreadsheets (as other devs we have spoken to seem to do), but these are not ideal. Not only was it difficult to filter languages, but there was no accountability. It was too easy to edit something erroneously, and you would have no idea until a user pointed it out. With CrowdIn, translations need to be approved and a history is kept of all translations for a given string as well as who approved it.
The screenshot feature is excellent. After adding a source string, you can upload a screenshot showing how the text is used in-game. CrowdIn has a great tool which allows you to select a section of text from the screenshot, and it will automatically work out which string this matches. This makes it very quick and easy to add clear visual context for each string.
On a separate note - any time we have needed to contact CrowdIn for support (which is not very often as they tend to have addressed issues before we run into them), they have always been quick to respond and have either pointed me to an existing solution or made changes at their end to fix my issue.

  ### 45. Used it for localization in game development.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pavao B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I like the UI design, and how the whole webpage is structured. I like the activity tab, and easy to manage localization projects.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Last week I just had big trouble to integrate Google Sheets document. I've used that integration couple of months before, and it was effortless, but this time I kept getting errors that were on Crowdins Server side. Yesterday I got contacted by their Customer Success Manager, and they've added priority to my problem. Considering the pricing for their services, I would've liked that this issue was prioritized a bit sooner(I was contacted 26 hours after first Customer Support request). But other than that(integration problems), I don't have other issues with Crowdin.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Localization project management.

  ### 46. CRM Manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The integration with CRM that avoid a lot of working load

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I never had major problems with Crowdin.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A quick way of localise content.

  ### 47. Enhancing Localization Efficiency and Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

1. User friendly interface
2. Comprehensive language support

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

1. Inconsistent translation quality
2.Complex setup for continuous localization

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team manages the localization of an app used by millions of users worldwide, and Crowdin has been essential in this process.

  ### 48. Interesting potential but not up to industry standards

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Integrations with repositories and workflow automations

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It should improve the cooperation and role assignment. For example, if you are not the Owner of the account, you do not have access to all features. They should also improve the translation of other formats, such as images and In Design manuals. Tags could be also improved to show placeholders to remove mistakes. I have noticed that SDL Trados and MemoQ process simple HTML and XML better, while in Crowdin strings are "dirty" with code.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows the company to have all translations in one place.

  ### 49. Great customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** T K. | Owner and developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The Crowdin customer service is fast and always helps us to fix any issues. Crowdin is a great solution for our multilingual website.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

No real dislikes. But it would be nice to have a button to duplicate a language. Like duplictating es-ES to es-MX, es-CO and es-AR.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to Crowdin we can manage all languages in one place for our website. After making changes to any language, we create a new translation file and all changes are imported to our live website.

  ### 50. Good platform, but can improve the UX

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Their support team is helpful and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Some option within the platform are not so easy to use.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage the translations of our platform.

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Thank you for your review!

We’re glad to hear that you appreciate our support team. Regarding the usability concerns, we'd like to learn more about which options are causing difficulties so we can work on improving them. Could you share more details with our team?
