Crowdin has, from my experiences with web-based translation tools, the most attractive and easy to use user interface for translating strings. It works especially well for smaller strings, such as descriptions for fields, buttons and the like, seen in e.g. clients for web pages or even some videogames. I would say Crowdin is not suitable for usage on longer prose text pieces (such as documentation pages) that don't consist of independent strings, but are one whole text. While it does work initially, the reason for this is that changes to the source text will result in inaccurate mapping of previous translation to new source text, resulting in a need to fix up every translation made to suit the changed source text.
