## Crowdin Reviews
 ### 1. Excellent translation management tool for indie developers and software projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Владислав . | Software Developer, Translation and Localization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It provides a very intuitive interface and makes it incredibly easy to integrate translation files directly into my development workflow. The ability to manage multiple languages for software projects without getting lost in endless spreadsheets is a huge time-saver. The API and automation tools are exactly what a developer needs.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The initial setup and understanding all the configuration options can be a bit overwhelming for a solo developer or a beginner at first. Sometimes the documentation assumes you already have a large enterprise team, while I just need a quick setup for a small application.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It automates the localization process for my software. Instead of manually copying and pasting text for different languages into my code, I can manage all my string resources in one centralized place. It allows me to easily add new languages to my projects, keeping the code clean and letting me focus purely on development rather than translation management.

 ### 2. Structured, Collaborative Translation Management with Powerful Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesca P. | Manager delle operazioni, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is a very useful platform for managing translations in a structured and collaborative way. It helps us keep all language strings organized and makes it easier for developers and reviewers to work on the same project. The versioning and workflow features are particularly helpful when working with multiple languages and external collaborators.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The main area for improvement is the user interface. While it works well for developers, it can feel less intuitive for non-technical users and external collaborators such as translators or proofreaders. A simpler and more user-friendly interface would make the platform easier to adopt across different teams and roles.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps us centralize and manage all the translation strings of our product in one place, which is essential for a SaaS platform with multiple languages. It simplifies collaboration between developers, translators, and reviewers, reducing the risk of inconsistencies and manual errors. This allows us to keep the product interface aligned across languages and update translations much more efficiently when the platform evolves.

 ### 3. Localization tool to manage translations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raj K. | Freelance, Translation and Localization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin introduced several intuitive updates, but some of the features that fascinated me are its In-Context Editor and AI integration. With relevant contextual information of the In-context editor, I need not translated blind. Managers attach screenshots to their strings, and it gives me an excellent starting ground to translate, keeping in mind if it's a header, a button, or a hidden tag. New AI assistant and support for Gemini or OpenAI, I get the required boost to translate faster while maintaining high quality. Moreover, desktop-friendly integration or a web interface has also made it easier to handle large-scale projects with ease.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It can be improved by providing a dedicated mobile app for translators for quick proofreading or responding on the go. The interface remains overwhelming for new users, which may be simplified a bit. Lastly, pricing has got to be competitive for individual freelancers.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can easily localize multiple language projects, and businesses can find the best freelance talent in one place. They can chat, negotiate and finalize their projects. When you are dealing with an open-source CAT tool, you know you can expect to get endless customizations. Presently, it supports more than 40 file formats. You can work online or offline, individually or in groups. It is a win-win platform for businesses and freelance translators.

 ### 4. Easy and fun to work with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MarvinDarwin . | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I have noticed a new jigsaw-like button near the search bar that groups strings based on context. I believe this is a very useful feature since it can clear up potential semantic misunderstandings, huge props for that!

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I have recently tried finding out when I joined the platform and particular projects. I couldn't find such information, and the oldest result I got for my contributions in the project didn't mention me explicitly joining at the time (which I believe should be visible in user activity). I think it would be useful if users could quickly see when they joined certain projects, perhaps it could be a little note located under the project name (and available only to the user and not anyone else)

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an individual who isn't officially involved with a company, I believe Crowdin is a great way to let ordinary people such as myself contribute to big translation projects and provide a service that is satisfying for both parties.

 ### 5. Flexible Translation Options and Helpful 1:1 Crowdin Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I really like that there are multiple ways to add translations, whether it's on your own, by machine translation, by AI translation, or by hired human translation. It's very customizable in many ways, and it's incredibly helpful to jump on a 1:1 call with someone from Crowdin to troubleshoot.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The UI is often confusing. There are a ton of features, but it can be challenging to find the one that you're looking for or to adjust the features in the way that works for your project.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to take our app from having two languages to 17, and we don't have native speakers on our team for any of the added languages. Most places charge a lot for the number of translations that we were adding—or they charge very little but don't offer any support or integrations. Crowdin is very competitively priced, and it offers integrations to Github and multiple AI tools that we already use.

 ### 6. 8 years with CrowdIn

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jade G. | Localisation Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

CrowdIn's Support still great: fast, instructive and responsive; they always send videos. They're still the same consistent tool that I have using all these years.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Tech companies tweak and change their designs and interfaces often. Recently, CrowdIn changed the button 'Save' to the icon of a flop disk, and that was confusing to a translator that didn't save their translations at the end, so we needed to extend a deadline.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing a thesaurus of our software theme for 20 languages. We have started using the DeepL and CrowdIn's native AI assistant and so far the prompting and editing of many languages with these AI machines, together to human editing and the Translation Memory has been satisfactory.

 ### 7. Great platform for software localization and translation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikołaj Z. | Team Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is a fantastic platform for crowd-sourced software translation and localization. It lets us easily integrate our progects, upload new strings to translate and then use them in the next build. I love that Crowdin has built-in machine translation, which helps translators in localization. And the free pricing plan is quite generous. The recently refreshed user interface is very pleasant and easy to use. It now also allows for integration of AI-based tools.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There's one thing I don't like about Crowdin, and it's pricing of private projects. If you need more than 1 private project, you have to upgrade to the Pro (2 projects) or Team (unlimited projects) plan ($50 and $150). I, for example, don't need more hosted words/or more integrations, so paying $150 per month seems not worth it.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps us with crowdsourced translation and localization of our software and websites. It lets us make our software available for more people who speak different languages.

 ### 8. Fast and Competitive with Excellent Quality Translation via AI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexis C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I use Crowdin for translating our wordings on our product platform, and it allows us to translate our web product into all the languages we want to support. What I like the most is the pricing, which is very competitive compared to their competitors. The AI feature with pricing without additional margin is very fair on their part. This allows us to translate very quickly while maintaining excellent quality. I use Crowdin in conjunction with GitHub actions, which integrates well into our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The branching part: we wanted to implement that, but in the end, it makes the number of words hosted for each branch explode, so it's really not ideal for a product like ours + the translation memory part that doesn't work well for complex strings with context. I would like to have a file-based project, on which we create a new branch, and in the Crowdin interface, we would only see the new strings like a git diff. That would be the best.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Crowdin to quickly translate our product platform into multiple languages with excellent translation quality.

 ### 9. Simple solution that saves time and increase translation quality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Branko D. | Staff Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Onboarding process was simple and they helped us setup our instance. From that point everything went smooth. Whenever we had any issues, their support team resolved it quickly and pushed the fixes into production in days. Both manual and AI translations are easy to manage and overall consistency and quality of translations went up since we started using Crowdin as our TMS solution.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Pricing model could be simplified, but nothing crazy.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helped us manage translations for deploying our solution to different countries. It made the whole proces easer and managable and at the same time it saved us time and money by allowing us to translate and proof-read only the sections that we needed for those languages. Plus, we have the change history so we can always revert the translation in case there is some mistake or communication has to change.

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Thank you for your feedback about the public demo on our website. Working on it!
We're glad to hear that once you had a demo session, everything became clear and worked for your use case.

 ### 10. Great for multilingual copy updates, but Webflow sync issues and a steep learning curve

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It's very useful to see the current status of our copy in different languages and being able to update it. Especially useful since we work with external translators and being able to create tasks for them saves us time.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The integration with Webflow has been extremely difficult and a very disappointing process. A really big amount of translations were lost in the sync and now we are left with a lot of untranslated strings that have to be redone. This is causing issues when syncing that are costing us a lot of time to solve on a weekly basis. Three months in and we still don't truly understand how the tool works. Support is fast but give a lot of non-answers.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating tasks for our translators, search and replace when we need to update terms etc. Quick view of the status of our translations.

 ### 11. Efficient Translation Management with Room for Integration Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebeka V. | Product Owner and UX Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I quite like how easy Crowdin is to set up. It's really convenient that I can reuse my glossaries over different projects, which saves me a lot of time. We also managed to connect our own AI, which we've trained, eliminating the need to set up a glossary for every project. Instead, I can have one glossary and use it across multiple projects, which is super valuable for us.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

What can be improved is that the integrations are not super intuitive. Sometimes, for example, for integration for workflow, it would look like everything was in, but not all the translations came in.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps us keep all our translations in one place, making it easy to manage. I like the setup simplicity and how I can reuse glossaries over multiple projects without needing to create one for each, especially with our integrated AI.

 ### 12. Intuitive, Reliable, and Perfect for Translations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia S. | Operations Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I like that Crowdin is very intuitive and easy to navigate. It really helps to accelerate the translation process of websites and apps. One of the most important features for me is being sure that all my progress is saved properly and right when I'm using it. Setting it up was pretty easy too; I just signed up with my work email and was ready to start working.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

So far I like it a lot

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Crowdin to speed up website and app translation, ensuring my progress is safely saved. Its intuitive interface makes navigation easy.

 ### 13. Low-Friction Localization Integration That Streamlines Our Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel B. | Junior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The integration allows us to create a simple process for handling localization, with very little friction in the overall workflow.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The AI translation costs more than it’s worth. Basic machine translation gets you about 90% of the way there, and then you can have humans refine and polish the result.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to offer our product in more languages and to work with our solutions partners to localize the app for their markets.

 ### 14. Powerful Centralization, But Monotonous Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carla C. | Freelance Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I love how Crowdin centralizes all projects on a single platform, handling multiple documents and multiple languages. The functionality of memories and glossaries is something I really appreciate. I also found the initial setup super easy, which certainly facilitates the adoption of the tool.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The translation editor could be more intuitive. I understand that it is supposed to be simple and minimalist with few colors, but it is so monotonous that it becomes difficult to find some functions, even after years of using it. The editor could be slightly modernized, with more colors and highlights for certain functions.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin resolves the issue of linguistic consistency and the management of large translation projects. It centralizes all projects on a single platform and I love the functionality of memories and glossaries.

 ### 15. Powerful Translation Platform with Room for GitHub Integration Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan R. | Lead Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I like Crowdin's CLI and API, which I've been experimenting with. As an engineer, it's everything I need for a custom setup. It's smooth with staging and production releases, and the format and configuration are easy to understand. In general, it feels like a mature platform, which I like since there are no surprises.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It's not useful if we first need to get Crowdin in the middle of the process. So if you could improve the GitHub integration so it supports syncing with GitHub, but taking GitHub as a source of truth. That'll be super useful for our use case.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps external contributors update translations, improving quality when AI falls short. It allows non-engineers to fix issues in context mode, streamlining translation updates.

 ### 16. Still a very useful tool, but some changes are not helpful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriela J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Multiple integrations, although not often used by project managers

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I don't like that All, Untranslated First is still a default setting. I need to change it every time as it sorts the strings in a very awkward way. I don't like the change to the TB interface - I have to click through several options to add a term - a basic term addition should be as fast as possible.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you localize games or software you have to closely cooperate with the developers, and that is possible when you use Crowdin. It's is also easy to check the screenshot that can be attached to a specific string.

 ### 17. Invaluable Enterprise Localization Software with Powerful Workflows and AI Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

We have used Crowdin for years to manage our translation needs, but shifted to their Enterprise level program a few years ago to take advantage of increased organization/control over users, automated workflows, advanced AI translation tools/integrations, etc. Multiple teams across various departments are able to connect their systems into Crowdin with different methods depending on how their systems are set up, easily create/assign translation and proofreading tasks, and pull translated content back into their systems. This tool is invaluable for our worldwide translation and localization efforts. The Crowdin team is also very quick to answer any of our questions and assist with issues, having made multiple adjustments to their program based on our feedback.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I do wish the workflow automation allowed us to still choose which content we wanted to send through it, as in current state the workflow triggers on ANY content added into Crowdin. This creates situations where API connected systems are feeding in new content that doesn't actually need translation, and our translators are spending time translating something that doesn't actually need it. This isn't the biggest issue, but a refined process could certainly make all of our work easier.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our software is sold around the world, but we do not have an in house translation and localization team. Using Crowdin, we are able to leverage channel partners around the world to quickly and easily translate content and provide our materials in their native languages.

 ### 18. Customizable Translation Management with Effortless Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Audric S.

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I like how Crowdin centralizes our translations in one place and allows us to use translation memory. Being able to put our own AI prompts for preparing translations and the good customization options are great. We can apply our style guide when doing translations with AI. The over-the-air delivery is really handy as it lets me make changes and launch them in the app instantly, making them available to users right away. Crowdin integrates nicely into our processes, and the simple task system is a big plus. The initial setup was pretty easy, and we could test something quickly. Using Crowdin has improved the quality of our translations and made our process more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Maybe the UI could be improved, the interface feels a bit messy at times. And we've had a case of email notifications not going out as expected.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin centralizes our translations, uses translation memory, and allows AI customization with our style guide, making team review efficient. Over-the-air delivery lets me quickly update translations in the app, and overall, it's improved our translation quality and process efficiency.

 ### 19. Effortless Integration and Streamlined Translation Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judith M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I love how Crowdin helps us keep all our translations up to date and on track while allowing different team members to assist in the translation process without messing up other systems. It streamlines the whole process for us. The setup was very easy, taking just a day or two, which is crucial for a small team like ours. The integration options with our development processes and GitHub made it an easy sell to our development team. Crowdin also makes translating accessible to all team members, simplifying the process with its user-friendly interface. The creators of Crowdin worked with us to find the best payment plan tailored to our stage, which I really appreciate. Overall, Crowdin takes the translation workload off the product team and distributes it efficiently without needing lengthy onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

None currently come to mind, it works really well for our needs. I had worked with it previously in a different setting and also didn't run into any issues there.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin keeps all our translations up-to-date and allows team collaboration without disruptions. It streamlines our translation process and integrates smoothly with GitHub, making it easy for a small team to manage translations efficiently.

 ### 20. Incredible Task-Based Access Control and Granular Multilingual Table Localization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juli A. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

the task feature and the level of access control based on task assignment is incredible. it also supports a wide range of filetypes. honestly my favorite localization tool to use for multilingual tables because of the granularity it offers with them.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Organizing comments/queries can sometimes be difficult. getting wordcounts is tough sometimes, having to create a task just to get total wordcount refined.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's easy to collaborate with both linguists and clients in a variety of ways.

 ### 21. Effortless Translation with Community Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuel G. | Gründer:in

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I find Crowdin amazing for easy translation management. It's usually difficult to keep track of translations and the percentage that has been translated, but Crowdin and its community support make this manageable. I especially love the feature that allows making projects public so everyone can help, while still having translations in review. The integration with systems and programming languages is fantastic; it's so easy and chill to integrate into my software, helping me a lot. It's a working system I can integrate into every project of mine. The initial setup was really good and easy, as I had already mentioned. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would definitely recommend Crowdin at 100/10. I love it.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I think the criteria for open source free projects should be lessened. There is too much criteria needed to even get it, and I would say it’s better to grant the open source projects the free accounts. You could check that with a GitHub integration to make sure it’s an open repository at all times and when you find they private it later it would be abuse.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin simplifies translation management, making it easy to keep track of progress and leverage community support. I appreciate the seamless integration with systems and programming languages, which enhances project efficiency.

 ### 22. Seamless Integration and Powerful AI, Recommended for Tech Writers Looking for Great TMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yajing W. | Technical Writer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Seamless integration with various development tools, powerful version iteration function, and great AI localization assistance.

The task tracking function is very helpful for companies with a large in-house translator team.

The APIs provided also enable us to build our customized integration service, which makes our workflow much smoother.

Our solutions architect is very patient and generous in helping us upgrade our subscription plan.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It once changed the formatting of the HTML tables in our markdown files. Now the bug has been fixed.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Translation Memory function greatly saved our time to maintain documents with repetitive content, and the Glossary function helped us to build a more consistent tone and style.
I work extensively with GitLab, and the integration with GitLab is very smooth and convenient. The service branches synced back to GitLab carry the exact translation we want, and no additional work is required (just simply merge it!).
As an AI-enpowered company, I really appreciate the built-in AI-assistant translation function Crowdin has provided. Now I don't have to switch to GPT or Gemini to ask for a translation or translation improvement. Everything can be achieved on the Crowdin UI.

 ### 23. Easy to use translation tool; some improvements could help to make it more efficient

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It provides multiple translation options for each string, allowing you to pick the one that sounds best or make adjustments if it’s still not accurate. The tool also gives a clear overview of the progress across different articles, making it easy to keep track of everything.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I haven't noticed anything in particular recently!

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am working with a software (DAM) and we are using CrowdIn as a translation tool for our knowlegde base. I am a native German speaker so I am responsible for the German translations and go inside the tool, check which articles need translating and then translate those. It takes workload off me in offering translations which I can choose from instead of me translating everything from scratch.

 ### 24. Crowdin works well for managing translations between multiple apps and projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Translation memory is a great feature. If we want to re-use some strings or phrases between our mobile and web apps, translators don't need to translate the same thing multiple times.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I'd love to see a tool added to make finding similar strings easier. Then we could slim down our resource bundle even more without manual work.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin allows our small, fully remote team, to support more than 17 languages for our mobile app and website. It allows our volunteer translators to pitch in when they have time, and automatically push their changes to our codebase.

 ### 25. Great product to manage translations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Armands . | Business analysis Discipline lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

We are now using AI translations which work amazingly well for us to translate from English to Norwegian.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It feels more or less the same, a bit chaotic bur well overall.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are developing a solution as an international team so our main language in the tech stack is English, however, our user's language is Norwegian so it is very important we can make all of the translations proper so it doesn't feel like it is not a local Norwegian product.

 ### 26. Great integrations and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martina R. | Ceo & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

We use Crowdin mostly for Shopify localization projects as well as other integrations. They have a ton of integrations, the pricing is reasonable (especially compared to other translation management systems) and they have a phenomenal support.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The interface can be a bit complex if you are not used to it, so it requires a bit of a learning curve.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Crowdin mainly for Shopify translation projects and other software localization workflows for our clients. It supports our team in managing large multilingual projects and keeping all markets aligned. The integrations with Shopify and other platforms make it easy to automate updates and keep localized versions in sync. While the platform has a learning curve, once set up it allows our project managers and linguists to work efficiently across multiple projects, so it helps us reduce manual steps and keep full visibility over progress and quality.

 ### 27. Usefull tool to make your translation work flow fast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivia H. | Tranlator and Customer Support Agent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin has a pretty easy user interface that is intuitive. The way it is structured makes it easy to translate fast and efficient. The fact that you can make your own glossary and addspecific terminology to your prjoect is very helpfull as well. TMs work pretty fast, too.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Big chunks of text in one string seem to be a bit of a problem and have hard times loading. It also depends a bit on the browser you use. Firefox seems to be more stable than Chrome for example.

It would be great if there would be the option to find untranslated text strings while they stay in their respective location in a document. You can sort by 'untranslated' but sometimes it is necessary to have the 'surrounding' strings in order to have the context. If you have a document with several pages it would be nice to have an indicator on which page the untranslated text is at least.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The TM and general CAT translation makes translation faster and easier. Even though the CAT tool have their limits.

 ### 28. Efficient Localization with Easy CLI Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash G. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I find Crowdin great for programmatically translating our client-end messages. It makes localization much more efficient compared to manually updating strings. I also appreciate how easy it is to implement with code, as we can just push whatever string we want to translate via CLI and easily pull the translated text. The CLI push and pull features save time because there's no need to keep returning to the dashboard to get translations. The initial setup was very easy, which helped us get started quickly.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Nothing

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Crowdin, I handle localization efficiently, translating client messages programmatically without manual updates. With easy CLI push and pull, I get translations quickly, avoiding dashboard hassle.

 ### 29. Crowdin overview

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iago E. | Proofreader/Translator, Computer Games, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The Crowdin has been an indispensable tool for my translation and revision endeavors. It has significantly streamlined my workflow, allowing me to efficiently translate and review texts. Moreover, it has afforded me the opportunity to volunteer as a translator and reviewer for a major German Minecraft server known as GommeHD. In this role, I've been actively engaged in translating from German/English to Brazilian Portuguese. The collaborative nature of Crowdin, coupled with its intuitive interface, has made this translation journey for GommeHD exceptionally productive and rewarding. I am thrilled to contribute to enhancing the gaming experience for the Brazilian Portuguese-speaking community within the Minecraft realm on this renowned server.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The Crowdin presents a challenge when dealing with "dead" or inactive projects. Since it's a collaborative platform, inactive projects can lose momentum and participation over time. Without ongoing engagement and activity, maintaining momentum and ensuring completion can be difficult. Communication and efforts from all contributors are crucial to keep the project alive and progressing. It's essential to establish clear guidelines and maintain team engagement to overcome this particular challenge in using Crowdin effectively for projects that might face periods of inactivity.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform provides an intuitive and centralized workspace that simplifies project management. I can easily organize and oversee all translation tasks, track progress, and manage terminology in one cohesive environment. This centralized approach minimizes the chances of overlooking specific translation segments or losing track of project status.

 ### 30. Great experience to translate all our projects easily - Crowdin is powerfull

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christophe V. | Web developer and Devops, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

new AI functionnalities are great (but with a cost....). I gave access to someone to translate in-context which is helpfull

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I have troubles with Dutch language, no possibility to auto translate, I need to set each string, one by one

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin help us to translate different projects with great and helpful interface. We use often same terms, we win time and all translations are syncronised quickly. And we can add people just for translation outside the developer team.

 ### 31. Very user friendly and powerful localization platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonas P. | Scientific Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Has no issues with multiple source files, multiple integrations, and custom directory structures while being convenient to set up. Those are things I struggled with on alternatives. The support is fast and helpful, and open-source projects are well-promoted.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

A few misleading error messages were the only issue I encountered. File hierarchies in the file selection for translators are not flattened, producing large directory trees.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin enables community localization for my open-source projects. Not only was the setup much more effortless than alternatives, but open-source projects also received tremendous support from Crowdin.

 ### 32. Seamless Translations with Crowdin, But Mind the Limit

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henry W. | Software Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I really like how Crowdin makes the whole translation process very seamless. I was able to just enter the URL of the website, and it efficiently imported all the text. It's impressive how quickly it can create machine translations, processing maybe 15,000 strings in about twenty minutes. Getting started with Crowdin was simple and allowed me to quickly make progress on translations. The initial setup was also very easy and straightforward, suitable even for nontechnical users.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It would be useful if you were warned beforehand about the free limit of the number of strings during the current user flow. You can sign up and use their recommended process, but you often find to your surprise that you've exceeded the free limit. This means you either need a paid plan for Crowdin or need to request an open-source license from them. It would be nice if you could be more clearly warned during the process about when you will need to move from a free to a paid plan.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin automates website translation, solving the manual translation problem. It uses AI and a library of existing translations, making it easier to localize websites for various languages and nationalities.

 ### 33. Core Functionality with Some Integration Hurdles

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dash S.

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I use Crowdin for localization with my product teams to ensure our content can be scaled to all regions and locales we support. Crowdin solves the localization problem for us, and we've used it for years. The biggest benefit is the familiarity and that it's baked into our platform. We enjoy how Crowdin can help us properly localize into all of the world languages we support. I appreciate the AI translations which we are leveraging more and more. The app toolkit and the ability to add customizations like screenshots provide some flexibility, which is also good.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

In general, Crowdin feels quite technical as a tool. The user interface and overall user experience could probably be simplified a bit. Sometimes I get sent a link from a translator, and I have to click many times in order just to view what they're trying to show me. So I have to say my role, my permissions, what language I wanna translate, and all of this is just for viewing privilege. This is quite irritating. I also think there are some strong limitations in terms of Figma integration and functionality. We really need Figma to play nicely with Crowdin for developers and translators to have the full context. Right now, that is missing. All strings are in complete isolation. Unless I manually upload a photo or screenshot of a flow, there's absolutely no context. This creates extra work for me when I need to manually upload these images or add explanations.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Crowdin for localization, helping my product team scale content to all regions and locales. It's deeply integrated into our platform, offering familiarity and effective language support.

 ### 34. Centralized Translation Management with Room for Onboarding Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zoran S. | Customer Support and Marketing Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I like how Crowdin centralizes translation workflows, which reduces manual work and helps maintain consistency across languages. The good collaboration features make it easier for us to manage translations in one place, reduce miscommunication, and keep everyone aligned. These aspects felt like more benefits compared to our previous tool, OneSky.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Some advanced features have a learning curve and the initial setup can take time. Improved onboarding and clearer guidance.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Crowdin to centralize translation workflows, reduce manual work, and maintain consistency across languages, which helps manage translations in one place, reduce miscommunication, and keep everyone aligned.

 ### 35. Great platform for continuous localization with community contributors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent . | Directeur radio, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Using the Crowdin integration with our repository allows us to sync source strings and translations continuously, which fits very well into a CI/CD workflow and avoids manual imports/exports.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Pricing can still be difficult to justify for smaller teams or community-driven projects. Many of the features that make Crowdin powerful (advanced automation, higher limits, etc.) are locked into tiers that are closer to enterprise needs.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessibility. It's way easier to browse our game server.

 ### 36. The most useful CAT tool on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

This is the most comfortable CAT tool I’ve used in my 15-year career as a professional translator. Its features are very useful and help me deliver tasks in the shortest possible time. The preview feature, in particular, is very helpful and helps avoid unnecessary questions.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

For small businesses, the price feels somewhat high. Also, for some reason, the hotkeys are different in the Enterprise version, which can be confusing.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In terms of time management, it is the tool that allows me to complete translation work in the shortest possible time by offering many very useful functions. When I face a problem, support members always resolve any issue in no time.

 ### 37. Project Management Made Easy With Crowdin

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fredrik L. | Freelance Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is easy to manage as a translator working for many different clients. Everything can de tailored to your needs.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Nothing specific comes to mind. I’m not able to comment on pricing, since I work under the client’s license.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps me manage and deliver work for many different clients and brands. It’s especially useful for communicating with PMs during the translation phase, and for staying aligned with them afterward as well.

 ### 38. Simplified Localization and Translation Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian K.

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I love how Crowdin serves as an efficient translation and localization hub for our team. It effectively addresses the challenge of managing translations across 21 languages by centralizing everything in one place. The translation feature has been revolutionary, particularly because it allows translators to preview their translations in the actual interface, helping them manage content more effectively. The in-context tool is incredibly valuable as it removes the guesswork around text length variations and contextual meaning, which directly resolves one of our biggest challenges, that of UI layout breaks caused by varying text lengths across languages. This capability significantly enhances our workflow and ensures accuracy and efficiency in our localization process. Overall, these features have been critical in managing our platform's multilingual content, making Crowdin an indispensable tool for our operations.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The initial setup for Crowdin was more complex than anticipated. Getting the JavaScript integration to work correctly with our Next.js application required careful coordination with our build process. Additionally, the documentation could be more specific about server-side rendering (SSR) considerations.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Crowdin to centralize translator interactions, manage content across languages, and prevent UI layout issues with its in-context tool.

 ### 39. Crowdin is a powerful TMS, easy to setup, lots of feature, and create customer service.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I can't think of anything regarding Crowdin that is not positive.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowding is integrated with 18 content repositories across two company divisions. It's connected to LLMs, and NMT systems that allows us to have millions of words translated in a matter of days. The speed and scale Crowdin is providing allow us to get much better market penetration internationally.

The UI has been significantly updated since the last time I used Crowdin. There is now less friction and it doesn't get in the way of getting things done.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There are minor bugs here and there, but they don't affect how I view Crowdin as a service. I like what it provides. No negative experience from me.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps us manage translation strings across multiple languages on a scale.

 ### 42. Crowdin Still Makes Translation Management Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Since my last review, Crowdin has remained very stable and continues to fit smoothly into our daily workflow. We’ve started relying more on translation memory, glossaries, and integrations, which makes it much easier to keep product copy and marketing content in sync. The overall speed of the platform and the clarity of the translation editor help our translators work faster while keeping quality high.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Overall, our experience is still very positive, but there are a few areas that could be even better. Reporting and analytics could be more flexible, with easier ways to build custom dashboards and export insights for stakeholders. Some advanced settings are a bit hidden, so a slightly more streamlined admin interface and clearer onboarding tips for new users would help. Transparent pricing and controls around machine translation usage would also be appreciated.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps us streamline and simplify our translation management process across multiple languages. It allows us to efficiently handle nine languages while keeping everything organized for both translators and managers. The platform’s intuitive interface, status tracking, and collaboration tools ensure smooth workflows and prevent bottlenecks.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The UI is really great. Made for a power user. Not really nothing to request an improvement

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for translating mainly FLOSS projects. It's far easier with Crowdin than downloading itXML files e.g. and doing it in my PC. I can go through a lot of content and go back quickly to previous translations to mantain consistency.

We used it to scale website localization. Since multiple teams are involved in the process, it was helpful to have a single tool to facilitate everything. It enabled effective communication amongst everyone involved.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It took us some time to integrate it with Storyblok. We had to involve a developer to assist with this task, and we had difficulties transferring the translation back into the CMS. However, once we set it up, it was quite easy-to-use.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website localization with multiple teams involved. The tool smoothed out the communication and the process of getting all texts approved by the stakeholders.

For the way I use it, Crowdin hasn't changed much, but all the features are still very intuitive and easy to use.

 ### 48. I've been using it for over 10 years, highly recommend it

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felipe S. | Content designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I am used to the way it organizes and displays information, so you can have everything you need at hand at any time. You can easily show/hide panels and really eliminate distractions if you want to focus on translating/proofreading or bring up reference material for research.

I also like how they are open and available for feedback and have implemented many of the changes I've suggested over the years, which has made my work much more practical.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Sometimes, changes are implemented in the web and, which can create confusion due to a lack of transparency or communication with users. A simple in-app notification would suffice to make these changes more transparent.

I'm also personally not a fan of the contextual menu (the light bulb when you double click a word in a string), but I understand there might have been pros and cons that led to this implementation.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a huge SaaS platform whose localization is run entirely on Crowdin. It acts as a huge bridge between development and implementation and it does it quite seamlessly. Crowdin's developers have also aided us numerous times with improvements on our projects, and that has been extremely valuable.
