**What do you like best about Creo?**

Creo has been a huge upgrade for how our team manages complex, multi-part projects. The generative design tools we  explore dozens of structurally optimized part variants in the time it used to take to model one by hand, which has been a game-changer for weight reduction and material efficiency. Advanced simulation is built right in, so we can validate stress, thermal, and motion behavior without bouncing between separate software  that alone has saved us weeks on validation cycles.
The multi-CAD interoperability is probably the standout feature for us. Our field crews and partner teams work across different CAD ecosystems, and Creo handles imported geometry from other platforms cleanly, without the usual headaches of broken features or geometry repair.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

The learning curve is real for new users, especially coming from more entry-level tools the depth of features means onboarding takes longer than we’d like.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps our big, complicated projects from falling apart. When we got assemblies with thousands of parts, Creo doesn’t choke or slow to a crawl like some of the lighter tools do. It also plays nice with files from other CAD software, so our field crews and outside partners can share work without constant fixing and reformatting. And the built-in simulation means i catch design problems early  before they turn into expensive mistakes on-site.

The parametric modelling feature and 2D drawing.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

The visualisation of the 3D parts in the software and selection of working directory before working everytime.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creo is using for Product design. I'm using it for Tool design and it enables me to make tools faster  than on other available softwares. Its RELATIONS feature under Tools is very useful while working in assemblies. It allows to create 2D drawings also that saves money to buy a separate software for same.

**What do you like best about Creo?**

What i appreciate most about creo is how it feels like the only cad tool that invites you to think structurally rather than just draw shapes. when i am building something complex, Creo does not jsut give me features it give me a sense of engineering discipline. the system almost nudges me into designing things the right way with clean dependencies, predictable behavior and a kind of geometric honesty.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

what frustrates me most about creo is that it sometimes feels like it was designed by engineers who assume everyone else thinks exactly like them. Small actions like tweaking a feature or switching a constraint can feel heavier than they should, as if you are negotiating with software instead of simply editing a model.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creo solves a very specific problem for me: it brings order to design that would otherwise collapse under their own complexity. When i am working on something with layers of features,dependencies and motion, Creo behaves like the one person in the room who can keep track of everything without losing focus. It turns scattered ideas, rough sketches and half formed concepts into a clea parametric structure that actually makes sense.

**What do you like best about Creo?**

what i truly appreciate about creo is how it blends mechanical precision with design freedom in a way few CAD tools manage. it feels engineered not just for creating models,but for understanding how those models behave in the real world. the parametric system is powerful once you define relationships between components, creo remembers them like a silent collaborator, keeping the entire design logically consistent even after multiple revisions.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

what i find challenging about creo is that its depth can sometimes feels like a maze. Every feature is powerful,but that power comes with layers of menus, settings and workflows that take time to truly master. it is almost as if creo assumes you already think like a seasoned engineer before you even start using it.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

creo solves the problem of turning complex mechanical ideas in to  manufacturable reality with mathematical precision. it brings the gap between imagination and engineering constraints allowing me to explore designs freely while keeping every dimension,tolerance and motion logically tied together.

**What do you like best about Creo?**

Creo's robust parametric modeling and routing features enable me to efficiently design and modify wiring harnesses, brackets, and assemblies. Implementing design changes is straightforward, and updates are automatically reflected across all related parts and drawings, which saves time and helps minimize errors. Additionally, Creo manages complex assemblies effectively and integrates seamlessly with Windchill, ensuring proper version control and facilitating collaboration with cross-functional teams.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

From my experience, when working with large powertrain and vehicle-level assemblies, I have observed that performance can slow down and regeneration times become longer, which impacts productivity. One major issue I’ve experienced is that when a fatal error occurs, fixing or recovering from it can erase all recent updates if the assembly was not saved, leading to loss of work and rework effort.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creo helps me manage complex wiring harness and bracket designs and implement changes efficiently. For example, when a bracket location changed due to clearance or vibration issues, I could quickly update the model and reroute the harness, with changes automatically reflected in the assembly and drawings, reducing rework and fitment issues.

Creos use of parametric modelling is extremely efficient, allowing for easy modelling adjustments while situated within an assembly. The interface is very good also, and the ability to implement new addons such as ansys directly into the software makes using it everyday extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

Sometimes if systems are not modelled correctly there will be complex reference loops which are tricky to solve, and again if poor modelling has been implemented, the system can crash regularly.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use creo everyday, it allows me to easily implement design changes in a variety of projects quickly, without having to mess around finding each sub level to the model.

**What do you like best about Creo?**

Once you learn the UI, CREO has a relatively easy workflow for developing parts and assemblies and making adjustments. I like the functionality of Windchill in company environment it makes it easy to access models that are used by multiple people within the same company.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

I wish that when starting a sketch you could view the scale of the window before you sketch a line so that you are close to the size you need when drawing your first sketch.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a Manufacturing Launch Engineer so I use it to develop assembly fixtures and understand how new products fit together prior to having a physical part. I have also used it for programing part modifications on our CNC machine using the Manufacturing Workbench, which works pretty well.

**What do you like best about Creo?**

I have used creo for almost 6 years professionally and more than that in my college days. It is really good, as I have used other CAD softwares as well, so I would tell that in Creo - I used to like that Repeat command to repeat the last part in assembly mode also, to create family tree of a part to add an instance, it was really very very easy.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

As it is very parametric, so it needs references everytime you create something, mostly when an assembly doesn't have proper constraints then that item itself shows that in its icon. whereas in NX , you are not constrained for constraining everything like in creo.

Creo solves instability in designs, assembly clutter, and disconnected simulation workflows. It lets you manage revisions easily, reuse designs smartly, and test thermal behavior inside the CAD environment. That saves time and improves design precision across platforms.

easy part modeling. creo have very easy interface which simplifies the part modeling in creo

Creo does not have good surfacing tools as catia. Surfacing in creo feels hard if we compare it with other software

**What do you like best about Creo?**

Built-in simulation tools (like stress analysis and thermal simulation) help engineers catch design flaws early and can handle vast and complex assemblies better than most CAD software. Also, it supports sheet metal, surfacing, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and generative design.
Creo Parametric offers professional-grade customer support, but like the software itself, it’s very enterprise-focused.
Creo integrates well with PLM systems like Windchill (PTC's own) and can connect to other enterprise tools like ERP and MES systems.
It's being used with huge frequency by multiple multibagger organizations around the world.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

As for the ease of use, beginners, especially those new to parametric modeling, might find it elusive and a bit intimidating at first. Not to mention, it is an expensive software aimed at vast organizations.
Implementation can be moderately difficult, not super easy, but very manageable with good planning.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creo solves the real challenges engineers and designers face when creating complex products. It allows you to design highly detailed parts and large assemblies with full parametric control, meaning any change you make automatically updates across the model and thus saving huge amounts of time and avoiding errors. Creo also helps make sure your designs are ready for actual manufacturing, whether it’s for sheet metal, molds, or even 3D printing.
In short, Creo helps you design faster, minimize mistakes, manage complex projects more easily, and ultimately deliver better products at a lower cost.

**What do you like best about Creo?**

Solid and surface modelling are really good. Even when you have to work with CAD neutral formats like .step or .iges the Import Data Doctor works like charm for correct the profiles which get damage while exporting. The best software I have found for correcting the profiles.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

While making drawings in creo when you have to undo a step or a mistake it is usually not possible. Frustrating the end user due to repetition of the steps which other CAD softwares like Catia and Solidworks fully allow.

It helps visualizing the 3D models and prepare the drawings for the same for manufacturing.

Creo Parametric is best for manage large assembly files. It has various features which are pretty easy to use. It is very flexible and customizable. It has very good technical support which enhances the implementation process.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

The very first thing is it has very few automations. Like in layers we have to set up configuration file to do it automatically which sometimes takes time.

It is best in handling larger scale and more complex design projects. It has better simulation system. We can create freeform shapes and surfaces direct during concept design.

It keeps the design feasibility check in place and do not let the designer create an infeasible product or component in it. It is easy to create 3d models, assembling and 2d drawings using this software.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

I am using this software from few years now and i do not find any issue working with it. It helps me to check the manufacturing feasibility and review design constraints in it before investing money in the tooling for new development.

It saves lot of effort, time and helps me identify the issues in design in initial phase which supports all new development activities and ensures smooth project commisioning

It has user friendly interface and very comfortable in 3D modelling infact it is very best for solid and sheet metal modelling

It has give fetal error something and due to that data in session loaded.and their is no any easy way to solve it

**What do you like best about Creo?**

The compatibility with Teamcenter is the most important aspect in my lione of work. Furthermore, the fact that each saving creates a new instance in the working directory is a great help.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

the fact that creo lacks model based design is an issue. It limits the options for modelling items.

**What problems is Creo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Modelling and keeping documentation with Creo is very easy. I have to make complex models and customer is using creo at their end. This makes it madatory for us to use it as well. 
I would prefer to have body based modelling feature in creo though. Any part made is considered as a single body. This limits the operations by a lot.

We are using Creo parametric for multiple R&D things. Mostly for Sheetmetal design, weldment. Drawing creation and also being part of the mechanical team we have to use hydraulics module. 
Using creo is very UI Friendly, you can find commands easily. Highly customizable. Technical Support form PTC is also really good. I have even worked on PTC Creo’s MBD, its futuristic way forward for R&D across complete industry.

For top-down design methods, surface modeling, sheet metal modeling, concurrent data exchange between multiple components developed by the key integrator, and excellent assembly configuration, the Advanced Assembly module in CREO parametric is just fantastic.

As compared to its rivals CATIA or Solidworks, CREO rendering is significantly less effective. The CREO render studio is underpowered, renders are distant, and output is grainy.

CREO helps me immensely with surface and sheet metal modeling. Multiple methods are available through Creo for creating surfaces and curves within your design model. Utilizing technical surfacing provides the ability to modify sections of particular surface types while adhering to specific measurement constraints. On the other hand, freestyle surfacing allows you to adjust surface boundaries and measurements by altering curve tangents on the screen. This type of surfacing results in changes to the underlying structure of the model to ensure that everything maintains proper proportion as the surface is adjusted.

I regularly use Creo, especially the Cabling module which is particularly useful for wire and spool harnesses. Am using CREO for past four years, the best thing i noticed is constraints are automatically taken while sketching the product that makes our work more precise and saves our time. It has good sheet metal and surface modeling features compared to other CAD softwares. Its UI looks good, and tools can be accessed easily. Best for beginners to start learning with CREO.

I found some errors/crashes occur in the assembly mode while working; it spoils the whole work if not saved. Rendering tools and appearance are not up to the mark. Otherwise, satisfied with CREO.

In our industry we design sheet metal and machinery using CREO.Its speciallized feature are helpful in creating the complex shapes easier and made my work to complete on time with accuracy. First major aspect I noticed when switching to Creo from another CAD software was how versatile it is when dealing with surfaces and how it encourages the use of surfaces even when creating most prismatic (solid) models. Also, I appreciate how it facilitates the management of large assemblies (for instance by using Simplified Representations, saved orientations, Display Styles etc.

**What do you dislike about Creo?**

It happens more often than I'd like that the program does things in ways that I don't expect (for example, when dealing with rounds on more complex areas). Most of these times, the program provides very little or no information on why this happened. I know this is less of a problem for more experienced users, but it would be nice if the program was able to help more with troubleshooting.
Also, there is the occasional fatal error followed by the program crashing. In these cases, it's impossible to recover unsaved data, as there is no autosave or recovery option.

I started using Creo when some of the major clients started working with it. It has now become the go-to program when clients don't have any specific software preferences.

Creo Parametric is the best when it comes to Cabling design, you can easily route your desired cable length and specs. It is very convenient to use Creo for this purpose. Also, you can do your own hotkeys/ shortcut keys.

Since Creo is not cloud-based, you need to save your work multiple times so you are very sure that your design/work was saved in your local file. Because if not, it is very hard to retrieve those.

Creo Parametric is very useful whether you're designing small or big assemblies. You can use a lot of features aside from the basics, like piping, cabling, hose routing, and many more.

As for the consumer electronics industry, we are dealing a lot of cable wires routings from PCBA to PCBA, etc., and Creo is very useful for this. We can save a lot of time in doing cable routings using Creo.
