What do you like best about Crayon?

Having a centralized place to keep all of our competitive intel. We couldn't do as efficient of a job enabling the sales team without Crayon. The battlecards are a nice way to keep everything about a competitor organized and easy to find. Slack insights integration makes pushing field intel to battlecards easy. Email digests help us keep on top of everything happening in the market. Plus, regular check-ins with our rep are the best - the customer service is truly fantastic. What do you dislike about Crayon?

Unfortunately, our organization doesn't use Salesforce as a CRM, so the Impact tool isn't of use to us. This does leave a bit of a gap in integrating and understanding competitive win-loss with Crayon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Crayon?

Crayon has been incredibly helpful in obtaining unseen insights on key competitors, and more importantly, being able to look at large sets of data for trends via their new AI tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crayon?

I'd like to see more variation in the capabilities that Crayon provides including competitive insights beyond the digital landscape. They should think more broadly and holistically to the elements that make up a full 360 competitive intelligence program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Crayon?

Salesforce integration is helpful for a high level view of Win/Loss, as long as sales is inputting competitive information into Salesforce. Gong mentions are also helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crayon?

New CSM is barely there and has not been helpful, no suggestions for streamlining processes or driving adoption. AI features are not helpful, and too little too late compared to competitors. Very manual process of battlecard and intelligence maintenance, no help with standardizing templates. Planning to switch to another tool when our renewal is up. It is not worth the money. What do you like best about Crayon?

Crayon scrapes competitor information daily and sends automated emails with timely and relevant information. Saved searches allow users to narrow in on specific topics of interest.

Crayon's new "researcher" role allows Admins to give organizational users access to "Insights," where they can create their own searches and saved searches.

Crayon's hybrid battle cards make creating and updating battle cards quick and easy.

Crayon also integrates with many well known tech tools, including Slack, Salesforce, and win loss providers (Clozd and Primary Intelligence).

The Crayon team is constantly striving to ensure customers have the tools, resources, and best practices to make their competitive intelligence efforts succeed.

Additionally, the product team at Crayon is at the forefront of updating the interface and platform functionality, including adding new technology such as AI, to ensure the tool remains relevant and useful to users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crayon?

I get the least amount of functionality from Crayon's "Boards" feature. This is likely more of a reflection of my lack of bandwidth in constructing relevant Boards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Crayon?

Crayon offers great market and competitive landscape data regarding our competition and the eCommerce ecosystem that we operate. Very easy and straightforward product to use and has relevant features that allow us to easily add or research regarding the relevant competitors and update battle cards Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crayon?

The main downside I see is that updating and identifying new competitors for each one of our product lines needs to come from us, and unless we actively update it to be monitored by Crayon it wouldn't automatically appear Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Crayon?

Crayon helps me stay on top of the dozens of competitors in my industry. I use it daily to surface publicly available insights, but also use it as a data repository and hub for building battlecards and boards specific to certain topics of interest. I really like the latest features including: 1.) Compete Hub to act as a newsfeed for my latest announcements, 2.) the green/yellow/red tags on each battlecard to flag those that I haven't touched in a while and could use a refresh, 3.) the boards that allow me to compile insights related to specific topics that need a home outside of a battlecard, and 4.) the unlimited competitor tracking helps me follow even the smallest competitor and flag those that might begin to emerge in my industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crayon?

The AI tool is great to help me write summaries of insights, but I hope that it can improve by being able to regularly populate (sometimes for things like social posts it may not be able to read the content and generate text). I would also love the ability for easier filtering out of words from competitors with more generic names, as it can often pull in insights not related to that specific competitor.
