A very good blend between SQL, NoSQL, Lucene, Vector, timeseries DB etc all under one roof. Performance is also fenomenal and it supports ANSI SQL Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
of course there are a few compromises when trying to use such a broad spectrum of technologies, but they are pretty minor when copared to the advantages Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cratedb is a NoSQL database so it is useful in handling large data such as vector data, geo location data, time series data analytics and real time data analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kubernetes support needs to be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
CrateDB excels at performing fast SQL queries on large datasets, making it ideal for applications that need to process high-frequency data streams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The CrateDB documentation doesn't fully cover the custom configurations for Kubernetes clusters when using the Helm chart for self management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked the keyword search with fuzzy functionalities. I liked the interpolation in time series analysis. I liked the idea the information can be compared by mathematical vectors. I liked the traditional SQL interface. I appreciated how it is easy to do these tasks in the programmer point of view. I liked the idea of integration that this product seems to provide. I understood the product was built in particular for real time data processing and for data analysis (time series) . I did not understood if it can be used for others operations the companies usually are facing. For instance reporting production that have to satisfy particular templates or to be published in a distributed environment (es. Qlik, SAS,..). Data quality activities that implies data comparing and data correction.
I did not understood if the tool supports effectively the security/authorization issues that normally a big company has, for instance some office can see some data, other can not.
I fear the latencies due to newtwork infrastructure. How to handle with table with 60 million records? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Excellent Customer Service and onboarding Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From my perspective there is nothing to dislike Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We liked very much about native postgresql support. We can store logs directly into CrateDB without another wrapper layer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
CrateDB support channel/forum should be improved. Even though it's good product, people start seeing how the community is active. As of now it's closed box. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how it integrates different type of data with a SQL-like syntax. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think all that power requires a lot of resources, which can result in higher costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

its a large all in one data solution for the AI age Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
there are still gaps in the solution that can be fullfilled Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Vector + keyword + sql.. being able to to joins on keyword searches (so between indices) and have the same filter behaviour for both vector and keyword search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't think i have enough experience to judge, but the community seems (still) quite small compared to e.g. postgresql or ES. I hope that will change in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its SQL-based syntax and the superset of new functionalities on top of this language, make there is no barrier to entry and enhance the possibilities of the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
CrateDB is designed for robust, data-intensive solutions, but it may overlook lightweight options that also have significant potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
