CrateDB gives me an option to handling large amounts of time series data and other structured data efficiently. The integration of this tools is quite easy to your production line. It also comes with pretty basic example of hands on experience in using this integrated tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think for those who has limited experience with database will require longer learning curve. The tutor was great, however I hope the after sales service would go along with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The onboarding process to create an account and get a cloud cluster running was very easy and fast. I also like how they use Postgresql under the hood so you dont have to learn a new language. Integratio via javascript and python with sqlalchemy makes it easy to test and deploy production applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Admin dashboard's UI can be improved. Also, there is currently no way to control the database sharding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I find most valuable about CrateDB is its ability to handle massive datasets with impressive speed and efficiency. It seamlessly combines the ease of SQL with the scalability of NoSQL, making it perfect for real-time data analysis in scenarios like IoT or machine data projects. CrateDB’s flexibility to store and query structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, along with its high scalability and real-time processing capabilities, make it an excellent choice for applications needing fast, reliable, and scalable database solutions. The project is still so young that still no real world stress test have been conducted on it. It takes some time for companies to migrate from their comfort zone on their heart of the system, database, to a new system. As a result, we still have to wait and see what happens. Also, some featuers such as a good extension system and implementation of basic algorithms like Approximate Nearest Neighbors are missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For me, the fact that with CrateDB, we can use SQL while having the benefits of NoSQL and VectorDBs is the best. It is so easy to use, and with their built-in functions such as 'distance' or 'knn-match,' you can enjoy the process of data analysis. Considering that you can easily integrate different types of databases and data models is something that I have never seen before. To put it in a nutshell, RESPECT! We should be aware of how challenging the world of databases is, and I believe that CrateDB is just at the beginning of its journey. For me, one thing I didn't like was that it did not support using ORMs, and we had to write the queries completely as strings. So, I think if this feature, along with other features such as allowing developers to add their own add-ons and extensions, is added, CrateDB could become even better. Scalable with ease whilst also offering options for edge computing. Integrating the system into an exsiting hyperscaler is easy, especially now that is is available as a one-click deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
More regions for deploying through the CrateDB cloud would be excellent, I'd also to see further extension of the in-built commands for working with the data inside of the database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
cratedb can manage a large volume of data, analysing of the data are made easy using cratedb. It suports real-time data processing, so that we can query and view the data easily. Cratedb is desgined with high reliability and availability for handling enormous data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
need for more video tutorials and examples for beginners to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That it is a very robust tool that would be misused on small projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To store and access different kinds of data such as Geospatial, vector, time-series, JSON data etc. Can able to store large amount of data. And ease of access for JSON object, Array kind of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Document need to be improved and more training need to be added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The thing I like the best about CrateDB is the usage of the "Dynamic column" option which makes it eaiser to implemenent the dynamic column import. While creating table for my data this option helped me to migrate all the columns from excel to database without any declaration of each and every column. I also loved the design of the Admin UI which has an option to query single table data with "just a click of a button".
Furthermore, the experience of Customer Support was also based on one on one meeting with the technical manager, which helped me a lot in solving technical difficulties more precisely.
There are multiple python libraries out there which supports the integration of the crateDB with my script.
Finally, I use this product daily and for data pipelining, and I would like to recommend this product to all the people out there.
Just try it once! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing so far to dislike about CrateDB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1.- High performance and scalability for processing large amounts of real-time data
2.- Native integration with SQL, which simplifies complex queries and advanced analysis
3.- Geospatial indexing and similarity search Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Less support and documentation compared to more popular solutions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A very good blend between SQL, NoSQL, Lucene, Vector, timeseries DB etc all under one roof. Performance is also fenomenal and it supports ANSI SQL Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
of course there are a few compromises when trying to use such a broad spectrum of technologies, but they are pretty minor when copared to the advantages Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
