## About CourseLeaf

## CourseLeaf Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful tools and lots of features also means cumbersome onboarding and steep learning curve

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about CourseLeaf?**

The platform's quite dynamic and intelligent. For example, CourseLeaf's curriculum forms can change dynamically based on the use case and scenario, which is better than other curriculum platforms that try to shoehorn everything into more strict hierarchies. The same is true with its workflows — I can adjust it based on the specific workflow I'm trying to build, rather than competitor platforms that make me build my workflow to match their existing templates.

**What do you dislike about CourseLeaf?**

The UX is pretty straightforward, but everything that makes CourseLeaf so great (i.e. lots of dynamic tools) also means the learning curve is quite steep. The CourseLeaf team is pretty good at helping you onboard depending on the size of your team and your costs, and they'll integrate things like timelines and kick-off dates, but it's not the most intuitive platform when you first give it a go.

**What problems is CourseLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Once we got through the onboarding and integration process, I found that CourseLeaf really helped to streamline all of our organization's planning and curriculum management workflows. For our admins and teachers, of which perhaps 10% are currently using it and the rest are in future onboarding cohorts, we've received quite positive reviews especially around its dynamic features and tools.

That's where it's a double edged sword. On one hand, it really breaks down our complex catalog workflows and processes, such as curriculum build-outs and creation, into an intuitive and straightforward approach. It makes things a lot more effortless, but the caveat is it takes getting used to! So expect to spend extra time upfront getting trained and familiar with CourseLeaf.

One other area that we found it excels in is CourseLeaf's ability to facilitate collaboration among all of our different internal/external stakeholders, which was especially valuable when we move into the course management and approvals process. For example, our admin and teachers can communicate directly to department heads right in the software, which saves a lot of miscommunication and unnecessary meetings.

  ### 2. Good, easy to use program - once the learning curve is passed.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about CourseLeaf?**

Once you learn how to do things, it is fairly easy to use/figure out

**What do you dislike about CourseLeaf?**

Cannot edit multiple sections at once (ex if I have to add seats to classes, I have to do it one section at a time)

**Recommendations to others considering CourseLeaf:**

Make sure you're trained before using it so you don't delete something important.

**What problems is CourseLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking student registration throughout the registration period. Comparing previous year/semesters to better serve students with course offerings.

  ### 3. Surprisingly Effective

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about CourseLeaf?**

Manages the workflow of curriculum proposals effectively.

**What do you dislike about CourseLeaf?**

Like any system, it can be a bit inflexible at times.

**Recommendations to others considering CourseLeaf:**

Strong workflow processing program. Makes the tedious parts of curriculum management easier.

**What problems is CourseLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the problem of personally tracking down all the parties that need to be involved in the process of a curriculum proposal.

  ### 4. Courseleaf - love it or hate it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about CourseLeaf?**

fully automates the whole process of a new course or a new program

**What do you dislike about CourseLeaf?**

character count limitations are the bane of users

**What problems is CourseLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

fully automates the entire workflow and eliminates multiple copies that are out of sync
