## About Courier
Courier is a platform that makes it fast and easy to build a notifications system. Product and engineering teams need template management, custom routing, detailed logs, automated workflows, and other internal tools to run critical operations. Rather than build from scratch, developers can use Courier to build a powerful notifications infrastructure, faster. Our notifications designer includes drag-and-drop building blocks so you can assemble a notification in minutes. From there, you can write custom code, connect to data sources, or add additional channels such as email, chat, in-app, SMS, and push to create dynamic notifications your users will love. Thousands of companies like LaunchDarkly, Contentful, Lattice, Vanta, and ApartmentList use Courier to power their notifications that drive faster operations and better engagement.

## Courier Reviews
  ### 1. This is a great platform for sending noficaitons in a nice easy to implememt way.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evgeniy P. | Full-Stack Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Courier?**

I like it for its ease of use and the fact that you can configure and select the recipients of the notifications dynamically. The customer support also appears to be great as there are plenty of ways to contact the support staff in case of questions or software or integration issues.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Perhaps the only concern I have with this platform is the fact that there are currently no options to integrate the platform to different social media services (e.g. Snapchat,Instagram etc.)

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great way to set up an infrastructure that sends out notifications to users in plenty of different ways. I like the notification scheduling functions that allows you to send notifications at specific times so the users might have the chance to look at them at times at which they are using mostly their devices.

  ### 2. A Developer's API for Easy Design and notification with Courier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiva A. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier is an API for notifications that makes it easy to design and send notifications through various channels like email, Slack, SMS, and push notifications using a single API. It allows us to customize notification designs according to our needs, simplifying email management. Additionally, it keeps a record of all notifications for troubleshooting purposes.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Courier uses handlebars js, which may be hard to learn and costly for small businesses, especially if high notification volumes are needed.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Courier helps me manage and deliver notifications across multiple channels such as email and SMS through a single API. It also helps me create custom designs without writing code.

  ### 3. A developer who's satisfied with courier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wuhibeselassie N. | Full-stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Courier?**

It's great for sending reports, messages and notifications across different platforms and I have a track of all events and messages sent time-stamped on their dashboard

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Not having templates that can work for different events

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easing the process of integrating different email providers by having a centralized hub where we just think about the templates and events and courier handles the integration with providers

  ### 4. My experience using courier as a email template

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vijay Kumar R. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The best think about courier is the ability to create dynamic email with drag and drop design.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Although drag and drop feature is very helpful, but custimizing at the hightest level is very pain.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Courier is solving the issue of templating email which is very hard to customize for resposive devices.

  ### 5. Great product, saves a lot of development time.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric R. | Product lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

I like the fact you can quickly add providers to support new channels of communication with minimum code. We use Slack, Teams and Email and it saves a lot of time to have our content editable by non-technical users in a central place. Before we did all our notification templates in-code and developers were a bottleneck to the smallest change. It is no longer the case now, thanks to Courier. We can focus our energy on another aspect of our product. I find the paid plans to be affordable as well.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

They are still a company that is scaling up. We occasionally run into small bugs or format issues, but they are addressed quickly by their team in our support channel.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves time. We can focus on the parts of our product that are a real differentiator vs writing boilerplate code. There are also other features that we haven't explored yet. So lots of value.

  ### 6. An amazing application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Easy UI and fast to implement on the development side

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Sometimes emails don't get through, but this might not be Courier

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm building an application which helps students sent compliments to one and other.

  ### 7. Notifications made Easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan M. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier makes implementing a great notification experience across all platforms. Whether it is web, mobile, SMS, they give you a simple interface to do this. Their API is simple and their documentation is great. From a developer standpoint, they provide great documentation and great logging information to help you support your notifications.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

The only real draw back I have seen is I would like to have automatic user creation without having to call the create user end points. They allow sending messages with the user information but those end points don't create the user.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Courier to notify our users of important data when they are away from their computer. We do this via the SMS and mobile integrations.

  ### 8. Valuable flexibility of providers, needs some stability improvements in the web editor

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The fact that you can switch email providers easily allows us to prevent vendor lock-in as we scale.
The sheer number of providers makes me confident I can use just about any service I think is suitable.
The designer is simple to use and flexible when it works.
The fact that product folks are able to tweak email designs without involving engineering is a huge productivity win.
It looks like there are many other channel capabilities besides email that we could look to use in engaging our customers.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

The web editor has about a 70% chance of working at any given moment. (I normally use Edge, but seems more consistent on Chrome?).
When it doesn't work, the page seems to get stuck loading (some content loads, but the loading indicator continues to flash).
It happens frequently enough that it can be painful to get work done on something that Courier otherwise makes very easy to accomplish.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for sending emails to customers about any updates related to their accounts.
It frees up engineers from the design/format aspect of messaging, but at the same time makes it very easy for engineers to integrate data.
It is preventing us from needing to commit to something like AWS SES and invest time/effort into setting up a custom integration and allows us to pivot between providers if needed.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Hi! Thank you for the feedback on the performance of our UI in the MS Edge browser. If you see this behavior again, please email me Nate@ or support@courier.com so we can investigate formally. In the meantime, our Support Engineer is doing some investigation of Courier and Edge to see if we can identify any compatibility issues ourselves. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on Courier with the world 🙏.

  ### 9. Courier simplifies the process of creating notifications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Working with Courier is a great experience, and as a developer, it helps that I can create notifications quickly across various platforms. Courier is also very well documented and has a ton of other great features such as detailed logs and tracking.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

The conditional rendering of text/components was initially tricky. I can this being a bigger issue for non devs. There were also some bugs that I faced on the platform where I wasn't able to see some workspaces when logging in (apparently the issue was related to ultrawide monitors) which was a little bit frustrating. However, customer support was very quick to respond!

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Templating emails is streamlined for us and is also fairly intuitive. We are also able to free up more hours for feature development work. I'm sure there are a lot more features that I haven't seen yet but overall, it's great.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Thank you for reaching out to support about the Ultrawide monitor issue related to workspace management. I'm following up internally to understand where that stands.

Thank you also for the insight into areas we can improve. I'd love to know more about your thoughts on how we set conditions on channels, text, blocks etc. Do you have specific UI or UX improvements you'd recommend? If you'd prefer, you can reach out to me directly at nate at courier dot com.

  ### 10. Simplified notifications with amazing customer support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The customer support from Courier has been amazing! We wanted to leverage existing Postmark templates to ease into using Courier. We found a couple of issues and the Courier team implemented our fixes in less than a week which enabled us to leverage existing assets before a full cut-over. Other than the support, we appreciate that almost everything has an API. The developer and supporting docs are first class.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Using multi-channel notifications was a little challenging to get status updates from Courier outbound webhooks. It hasn't been a blocker for current work and Courier has also made improvements for us.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Courier allows us to build a robust notification system across many channels with little effort. One pain point we have with our legacy system is custom branding for each of our customers. We will leverage the built-in Courier capabilities to streamline this and make it scalable.

  ### 11. Courier completely takes away the pain of building and maintaining notification infra

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Atri R. | Co Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

When we were building our SaaS app notifications were on top of our minds to increase usage and adoption. However, as a bootstrapped startup, then, we did not have the bandwidth to create notification infra. Courier's superb platform made it a <1 day job for one of our devs to set up all aspects of notifications for our app. On top of that, you get the pay-as-you-go pricing and the very generous developer plan to get things right.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

When we started using courier, there were a few features missing from the platform, notably sending the same notification to multiple people. However, Courier has added that feature now and have also committed to adding the notification preferences feature we have been looking for.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling all aspects of notifications in our webapp. This helps us in engaging our users and increasing adoption through notifications in a multitude of channels.

  ### 12. Product Manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierre R. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

What we like the most about Courier is keeping track of the emails that were sent, and seeing how they were rendered. Great for quality control. In addition, the template engine with multi-language support is great. The design of the emails can be done then by a dedicated team, shifting the burden away from the dev team.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

You lose fine-grained control of the design of the templates. But, looking back, it is not a bad thing as delivering rich emails that are correctly displayed by all email clients is a tricky thing.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) We wanted to keep track of emails being sent to customers, when it was sent if it was bounced back, and what we send.
2) We wanted to provide quickly nice-looking emails without too much effort.

The API of Courier was easy to integrate and was better than a previous in-house solution that we developed.

  ### 13. Makes your life much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raphael T. | Product Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The face that it's the onestop place to manage all your notifications which can be tricky. The log traces of previous sends you've done. One stop integation of third parties.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Application performance is slow. Unsubscribe is not easy to set up so we've used what sendgrid provides. It would be a great idea if email from and adress from could be setup in courier.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developing the same solution would take us many many months and take us a lot of developpers time. Any startups that send notifications should set up their notifications through courier to be honest.

  ### 14. Overall a good experience, will add my notes in later sections

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aran S. | R&D Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The markdown language for writing templates is great.
I also like the UX in general, the easy way to select email vendors and the simplicity of sending test emails.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

I think the most challenging issue with Courier is its poor SEO.
Trying to find resources regarding its API, documentation, and community threads is impossible via the web.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a product that requires its clients to brand their solutions on our platform.
We've created several templates that receive a brand configuration and make it easy to replicate the same template with different themes.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Hi Aran, thank you for your feedback. We're always working to improve our API documentation, which you can find here:https://www.courier.com/docs/

  ### 15. Good and reliable notifications, still some ways to go

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

What I like about Courier is that's it relatively easy to set up and get started. You connect x email provider, drop their inbox application into yours, create a message and you're good. The uptime and message delivery has not been a problem, and they have nice ways of styling and mainting your notification messages.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

What's bothered me about Courier is that they've fallen short in terms of things they've promised vs their delivery. I get it, they're a relatively young company, but at the same time things like notification preferences are very clearly advertised on their home page, yet the UI for it still doesn't exist, and we've had to rig our own just to work with theirs. Furthermore, I've experienced several bugs with their notification inbox, and while the support team has been very responsive, I can't help but feel like these are things that shouldn't be neglected, considering it's one of their main value propositions. This is a company that I want to do better though, and I think they will.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They're helping me not have to make my own notification system from scratch. Although their are several pieces I've had to make on my own still, this has helped.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Hello, thank you for your frank and honest feedback. We agree that providing a world-class experience for you and your users for managing notification preferences is the promise of Courier. We have some very exciting improvements that offer an all-new full-page experience for both the Courier preferences center and inbox. If you'd be willing, I would love to set up a time to walk through these new updates and designs with you to get your feedback. I'd also like to understand the bugs that you encountered to ensure they are resolved, and if they have not been, to escalate them immediately. You can email me at nate at courier dot com or use the link below to book a time for us. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on Courier with us and the market. We are working hard to transform notifications into a delightful experience for developers and users.

  ### 16. Courier is reliable (critical for user notifications), simple & has been the bedrock of our dev team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharthok C. | Cofounder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

For me, what I like the most about Courier is that I can seamlessly track the emails that were sent. For an early-stage startup like us that is starting to scale, Courier has really helped us in terms of quality control. Another thing that I love about Courier is its simplicity of use. I am a stickler for templates and Courier makes it super easy to customize them and at the same time ensures that the engineering teams get to spend their bandwidth on core development.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

As a non-technical person (I am the co-founder of Klaar <www.klaarhq.com> and look after Growth, BD, and a few other things), I had a bit of a learning curve to get used to Courier. It could be more user-friendly for non-technical folks but once I got used to it, it was seamless. Also, I am guessing non-technical people like me aren't really their target market, so I understand.

**Recommendations to others considering Courier:**

Never hesitate to reach out to the Courier team in case you have suggestions, requests, or bug reports. They are responsive and ensure that your questions/ suggestions are solved/ taken into account.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amongst a lot of other things, I will mention the most salient one. If you are building SaaS, you would know that sending multi-channel notifications has almost become a norm. Be it Slack, MS Teams, texts, emails, & more, this was a time-consuming process that Courier has really simplified. It helps save the bandwidth of my engineering teams which is probably the biggest benefit that we get along with reliable notification infrastructure.

  ### 17. Great Tool for Automating Emails

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy P. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

I really enjoy Courier and how easy it makes sending notifications to end users using an interactive UI or a detailed API

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Reporting could be improved. If errors occur on a notification, it would be helpful if that could trigger a notification to a slack channel or email so that end users are notified when a notification is breaking

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending notifications to my company's end users and clients

  ### 18. Makes sending Notifications across platforms really simple

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The platform's design and the all-powerful email editor make it easy to add logic to notification content. I especially like the handlebars feature which allows me to write code within it.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

The Platform is a little slow and does not handle lower internet speeds well.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking to minimize the efforts required for sending notifications across multiple platforms and courier and its complete solution helped us integrate with multiple platforms like slack, SMS, and AWS SES with ease. The Logs provided for each notification, especially the timeline feature helps understand the notification's journey.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> If you have a specific page in the web app that you find is underperforming, please share it here or reach out to support@courier.com if you experience it again so we can track and create a ticket for you. Thank you!

  ### 19. Great low-code, multi-channel notification solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim B. | Director of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier has added a ton of integrations over the last couple of years, and the workflow feature is making them a serious alternative to event-driven automation platforms like Zapier, and IFTT. I really appreciate the near real-time performance, and the super detailed logs and state tracking that makes debugging and monitoring really easy.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Their WYSIWIG templates are very limited in design options, so it's either live with that, or go it alone with raw HTML which is full of pitfalls for emails.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using Courier to handle complex notification flows for our operations team, and set up slack notifications with no code via Segment events.

  ### 20. A great tool for creating email templates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor K. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The ease of creating email templates, with a nice rich text editing experience, and drag and drop interface for buttons and different sections. What you see is what you get.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

It's not immediately obvious where you can add the variables coming in from the API. Adding variables in links and button CTAs is not too intuitive. Having a list of these variables while editing would be useful.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do not want to construct email templates ourselves. Our engineers and product staff should not be experts on archaic email technology. Courier has freed up valuable time for our engineers and product team.

  ### 21. Great product solving problems that no other product does!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James L. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

- Solves problems that no other product out there does
- Numerous notification channels, especially many that are relevant to us
- WYSIWYG editor saves us the huge effort of creating something internally

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

- UI is hard to use for non-technical people. No way to copy-paste components. Adding in conditionals to blocks of text is difficult
- Lack of schema checking for data fields when sending a request

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It takes a lot of effort to add new notification channels, and Courier helps us stay focused on building our own product, and worry less about building a tool for delivering notifications.

  ### 22. Really good experience integrating Courier with our application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc-André B. | Technical Product Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier is easy to integrate with our application. Their documentation is complete and usefull.

The customer support is incredible. They helped us to find the best way to integrate Courier for some edge cases.

They also offered us a direct link to some developers to help us debug some problems we had.

When we detected minor bugs in Courier, they quickly corrected the situation and followed up with us to validate that it's all good.

We've been a customer for a few months now, and Courier is following up quarterly to show us the new features they have on their roadmap and make sure everything is going well or if we have any pain using Courier.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

One of the only things I dislike is there is no support for multi-languages. Our application is in English and French, that's something we need to deal with. However they help us find the best solution for this problem.

**Recommendations to others considering Courier:**

Don't hesitate to contact Courier directly to ask your questions. They are generous with their time and take the time to answer questions well.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Courier to be able to add multiple channels to send our notifications. We are sending our messages via email, SMS, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. We also used Courier to handle fallback when transmitting to a channel fails. So when sending by SMS failed, we want the notification to be sent via email. This logic is all inside of Courier, so it was easy to use.

Another problem Courier solved for us is using an idempotency key that ensures the notification is not being sent twice to the customer. In the past, we had some problems with our application, and Courier solved this problem out of the box.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> We love working with you and your team Marc-André. Thank you for sharing your experience. We work hard to be responsive to customer feedback by fixing things that are broken and shipping new features to support important use cases. To that end, I wanted to share here that we have since launched a brand new API to support multi-language. Linked below.

  ### 23. Best Integration for SaaS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas F. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Best of all, we can simplify everything in a single code. All of our notifications are sent in the same way. We create designs quickly, and we can send SMS, email or anything else quickly.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

I have nothing to complain about them, they meet all my needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Courier:**

Courier is very simple to use and easy to integrate. Plus you start with a free plan and you can't evaluate it before. I strongly recommend using it, because it reduces my software development and maintenance time.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I integrate all my notifications in one simple code, I no longer have problems with multiple developers doing multiple integrations or complex code. I particularly use ruby on rails and it already has a gem for me. Simple. Reduce my development time

  ### 24. Seamless API to for multichannel communication.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bejoy J. | CTO, Co Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Ease of integrations into multiple communication channel

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Few more enhancements around automation.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing the amount of code that we have to write to plug into every communication channel.

  ### 25. Game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David L. | Director, Technology & Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Key aspects that make us love Courier:
-It scales to support our needs;
-Workflows are customizable;
-Retries policies and fallback mechanisms are built-in;
-Templates are easy to build and maintain;
-Adding new communication channels is very easy;
-The Courier team is very helpful and responsive!

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

The product is still young, and we faced some bugs along the way. Some of those bugs were affecting the core functionalities of Courier, or sometimes we felt we were the first ones to use a specific feature. Still, every time, the team was very responsive, and the bugs were fixed promptly, and we never saw them again. Overall, I'm must say that the stability of the product has greatly improved over the past year, and I'm confident it will keep on improving.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We came upon Courier as we were about to rebuild our communication stack for one of our products, Officevibe. By using Courier, we could replace our four legacy communication stacks without having to go through a complete re-write. Courier is a turnkey solution that was easy to put in place; it allows us to invest more development time in the core features of our products and let the experts handle the complexity of multi-channel communication delivery.
Plus, now that everything is in place, we can leverage the new Courier functionalities as they come out without much hassle.

  ### 26. Easy to implement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier handles a lot of the work when dealing with multiple notification APIs. Like ease of implementation. API is easy to read and consume.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Nothing really. It does its job. Makes it easy to integrate into messaging APIs

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notifying clients on many types of events. No-code UI builder, time savings on API integration

  ### 27. Courier decreased our time to market. Their service has been very reliable thus far. Recommended!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zhen L. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Easy integrations
The visual editor is really helpful

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

The UX could be more intuitive
Managing external linking could be easier?

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an easy way to reach our users in one channel. We plan to add more channels later and it looks like it should be easy to do so

  ### 28. Courier: One API for all your notifications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash U. | DevOps Engineer-I, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The single API for all the notification channels made it very easy to send notifications across channels. Another feature that I like is the template builder, making it very easy and intuitive to build amazing email templates. It also has integrations for most providers across email, SMS, in-app, chat and push notifications. The Courier docs also make it easy to get started and send notifications using Courier.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Courier needs more automation capabilities for creating notifications without using the UI to make it quicker and easier, although there are other automation capabilities in Courier.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Courier for designing our email templates and sending notifications across channels (email, SMS, and Discord) for our informational messages. It made it very easy for our non-tech employees, such as marketing, to send newsletters and other informational messages to our beneficiaries.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Thank you Avinash! We'd love to hear more about the improvements you'd like to see to our Automations feature. You can definitely create an automation ad hoc, using the Automation API without needing to build a template in the UI. You can read all about that in our guide on How To Automate Message Sequences (linked). But we'd love to understand your use case and how you'd like to see this feature evolve. Please reach out to use at support@courier.com and we'll walk through it with you.

  ### 29. Message however you want in a unified API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier lets us send messages, emails, texts, in-app notifications, push notifications, and more from one place, with our backend always having a consistent API to rely upon making testing and integration a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Nothing so far, Courier gives you an extremely generous free tier and they have every integration we could think of using. It would be nice to be able to use the dashboard from your phone but other than that, amazing!

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating with our customers in a beautiful, consistent and reliable manner without wasting time integrating all of the different methods and using one single point.

  ### 30. A good solution, with some minor flaws

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The ability, as a designer, to compose communications extremely easily, without going through the tech department

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

The fact that customization options are quite limited, especially in some parts of the experience: I am thinking for example of the footer and social links, which are too standard. I would prefer to be able to integrate brand identity more deeply.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Courier it could take weeks for the tech team to bring online the changes we designed. Now it only takes a few days.

(You can use this one as social proof - no charge).

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Hi, we appreciate that every brand will be unique and some designers will want much more control. This is why in addition to our default brand design, we offer the ability to use Handlebars and MJML to customize the head, header, footer and CSS.

  ### 31. Works well and perfect fit for managing multichannel notifications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

All service offerings that are listed are very well supported
Excellent dashboard with necessary reports
Easy to customize templates
Seamless routing
Integrated with leading notification providers

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

If there are problems in notification, as customer, I need to liaise with leading notification providers directly and not via courier though they support our request

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Targeted notifications to customers
Multiple channels, so that customer can react on notifications
Mutiple ways to track analytics with these notifications
Business performance monitored

  ### 32. Courier simplifies notification delivery across major channels

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier provides a notification designer and simple API interface that allows quick access to multiple channels of notification delivery, simplifying the process of managing notification design and delivery.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Some notification channels have more options than Courier provides, so to maximize potential sometimes the best approach is still to build a custom solution.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Courier simplifies notification management, so that designs exist in one place while the code can abstract notification delivery into a simpler implementation.

  ### 33. Makes sending emails a breeze

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The UI is really easy to use. It's really easy to get up and running and send notifications fast.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

One thing I've noticed is that there is some inconsistency in delivery times for emails. One might be delivered immediately, while the other may take a few minutes.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my role, we use Courier to send a variety of email notifications to customers on certain interactions within our app.

  ### 34. Good product to use for push notifications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiran K. | Senior Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Good product to use for push notifications

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Less documentation of updates. No update of recent releases

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Issue of courier in version 1.13.0 resolved

  ### 35. It works

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Simplifies our workflow so that we can focus on the actual customer impact.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Not as flexible as we'd like, sometimes still need in-house solutions.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us send out emails and notifications to our customers.

  ### 36. Great, easy way to set up messages and notifications to your users, with a no-code editor

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy E. | Journalist in Residence, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

The fact that, once set up, you can manage messages and notifications in Courier without involving a developer

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

I believe you still need a Twilio account as well as Courier to do SMS

**Recommendations to others considering Courier:**

Definitely check out all of Courier's features as they have quite a lot!

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily sending messages + notifications of all types to our users

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> The ability to let developers focus on building their product and not notifications is something we pride ourselves in, so thank you for calling that out, Jeremy!

And yes, it's true, you do get to bring your own provider. You can view the long and growing list of provider integrations we support here:https://www.courier.com/providers/

This flexibility means you can even use more than one provider, and route notifications based on the best provider for a specific user or region. You can also change providers in minutes without touching code or templates in our integration settings.

  ### 37. The most important developer API since Twilio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 🔥 Robert M. | Co-Founder & CEO (NOT looking for software developers, thanks!), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

I can't be effluent enough in my praise for this company.
- From the CEO all the way down, the team is a delight to work with.
- The technology is awesome, and the platform does exactly what I need it to do.
- It's SO simple to get up and runnning.

You'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Occasionally the editor can be a tad slow on complex notifications, but we're also using it in a way that was likely not anticipated in the original design.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applications always have a need to notify users of different events happing within a given system. Usually, those developers have to build those systems manually, which means having to learn the ins and outs of Email vs SMS vs Slack, and then often the notifications themselves are hard-wired into the codebase, making it VERY difficult to change them based on the needs of your GTM team.

Courier solves that problem by doing the heavy lift for you, letting you fire off notification events in your system, and handling the message designer and integration for you. Marketing and Sales teams can customize the messages as necessary, and users can pick which platforms they'd like to get notifications on.

Courier literally saved me > $30k in coding + implementation costs, and I was up and running in under a day. It's the new gold standard for developer APIs.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Wow, incredible. We're truly flattered, Robert. We are striving every day to live up to this high praise, that I can promise you. Thank you for the feedback on the editor experience as well. You should see some significant transformations to improve the notification design experience in 2022!

  ### 38. Get In Touch With Your Customers No Matter Where They Are

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John E. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier makes it easy to reach coustomers whereever they are. The notification designer makes it easy for anyone on the team to update notification copy. The level of support from the Courier team is unmatched.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

We have some specific use cases such as allowing users to set notification preferences on a per-team basis. Courier was able to help us find a solution that we're currently using, but it's not fully supported without a workaround. Courier also has some API features that are not yet fully supported in their UI.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to quickly iterate on notification copy using Courier.

  ### 39. Courier is answering a real need for communication with customers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elena N. | Co-founder & CTPO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

First, I love the stats. Being able to see what went to whom and when and who opened it and whether it was delivered or blocked or rendered, etc - ALL. CHANNELS. IN. ONE. PLACE. This is brilliant. It's so much more useful for me than logging into five different places to see what's going on. Second, I can ensure that mutiple delivery methods have the same feel. And, third their documentation is fantstic - it really helped us build our slack notification capabilities. Their support is fantastic - they're regularly in touch and proactive in helping us achieve what we're looking to achieve (for instance, microsoft teams integration is a big one on our list and very complicated - I had asked them in the past for any information they had on doing this, and they proactively reached out to share their updated documentation once they released it... that's great service :) .

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

They don't yet offer Postmark email integration as an option (or they didn't when I last checked) or Amply integration.

**Recommendations to others considering Courier:**

If you are looking for an application that can help you get all your communication with customers together, then you need to check out Courier.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm communicating with my customers easily, in a consistent manner, and am easily able to see what's delivered to whom without having to log into multiple applications. And I have great support doing it.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Hi Elena, we really appreciate your review! Providing one place for all your templates as well as a single API for developing with multiple providers is central to what we think makes Courier so powerful. I also wanted to point out that we do offer Postmark as an email provider integration now. You'll find them, along with the long list of other providers in the link below. If you ever need an integration you don't see in our list, email support@courier.com and let us know what you're looking for. Thank you!

  ### 40. Wonderful platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Using courier makes my job and workload significantly easier. The layout of the site and ability to search through information easily is great.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

I have experienced slow loading times on Courier

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Messaging issues

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Glad to hear that we are making things easier for you. Sorry to hear you've seen some loading isses. If you have any details about what page in the Courier application where you saw slow loading please share those here or directly with support@courier.com so we can investigate. Thank you!

  ### 41. The glue between notification integrations and it speaks in "developer"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan B. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Ease of Integration
Integrating Courier could not have been quicker. I run a product with over 50 integrations, Courier was the easiest to integrate. Their setup documentation is clearly written; I wish all documentation was written like Courier's.

Support
The support team at Courier is very quick to respond and beyond helpful. For example, some of our emails were failing due to the large volume in a short amount of time. This wasn't a Courier issue but an issue with the email integration company. They suggested another company they saw more sucess with and even had docs to help with the switch.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Some settings require hovering to access. When looking at the UI, it's sometimes not super quick to find the settings I'm looking for because I have to hover over the element to get to the settings.

**Recommendations to others considering Courier:**

I highly recommend Courier. It's easy to set up, and their freemium is robust.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing notifications with code is painful
- the notification designer is simple in Courier

Integrating a separate library for each notification integration on the backend
- I only had to integrate Courier on our backend

Tracking notification delivery logs is cumbersome
- Courier provides adequate logging for all notifications sent through it

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Thank you, Jordan, for calling out our freemium offering. We're proud of it, because we want to be a tool that developers can use to launch notifications quickly and easily while building for real-world, production use cases – do it for free. That's why our Free forever Developer tier lets you send 10,000 notifications a month, with unlimited team members, unlimited templates, access to all channels, and unlimited custom brands. If anyone is interested in learning more, please reach out to us at support@courier.com. We're happy to answer any questions.

  ### 42. Really help us and simplify our workflow to send notifications to our clients.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandre B. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Using the tool is really simple, the API is well documented and many exemples are available.

When using Courier, notifications are sent shortly after requesting them and users receive them consistently. Also adding new notification platform is simple and fast.

Also the support team is quick to answer and competent. Whit our business plan, when require, we can speak directly to programmers and head to solution together.

Finally, the template designer is a really helpfull tool, allowing us to design email, SMS and direct message and having preview quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Sometimes, a newly released feature can be buggy at first, but it is fixed shortly after in the range of one to three hours.

Also some time documentation can have minor error in it. But we can often help in these cases by contributing to it.

**Recommendations to others considering Courier:**

Try it first. It's free and easy to start using.

Courier removes the burden of having to support multiple notifications providers for email, SMS, Direct Message, ...

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Courier, we have difficulties with sending emails and notifications to clients promptly. Also, sometimes, the same email can be sent to the user multiple time by error.

With Courier, notifications are now sent shortly after requesting them, and we do not have problems sending the same email to the same user multiple times.

We also add the support of notification on Microsoft Tems very easily. Because we were already using Slack, adding Microsoft Teams was only a question of doing drag and drop in the template disigner.

  ### 43. We built Courier internally. We made the switch to Courier. No brainer.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierre-Camille H. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier is promising to become the leading customer engagement platform across all channels. The possibilities are endless in personalization as well as ensuring compliance across all. Unlocking our user communication from engineering to marketing and support is also promising to deliver compounding benefits.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Nothing. We built Courier internally, and we wanted to execute on the idea of just removing emails from our codebase and sending Segment events instead to empower others to manage our user communication. I fear that other companies are ending up in the same situation, although it's not making business sense. Courier shows us that they are on a great track, keeping their innovation and new ways to engage with customers in a low-code fashion.

**Recommendations to others considering Courier:**

Some alternatives are more marketing-driven. Saas companies know that they need to solve to problem of their active customers, not just a better onboarding sequence. We wanted to partner with a company that understood the importance of orchestrating transactional user engagement notifications on any channel. There is a clear focus on usability compared with a (disappointing) competition that requires days to onboard. We sent our first email within an hour.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developers should not hold user-facing communication captive. User-facing communication is a mistake. Fixing a typo is no longer an engineering expense; it's a 3 minutes task. We can elaborate our copy faster and without fear of not being able to update it. We can iterate on our copy. We can send notifications to more channels.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> PC thank you for sharing your experience here. I thought I'd share with the g2 community the customer story we published with you about how you're using Courier at Hospitable.com. Cheers!

  ### 44. The best way to deliver notifications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron W. | Founder / CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier's underlying metaphor makes it very easy to reason about your notification's intent, design, and delivery. The API is very straightforward, the UX is great, and the reliability is top notch. It's a breeze to create new notifications, and requires vastly less effort by developers, allowing product people and designers to own much of the process, while still creating technically excellent output. Big fan!

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

Cliche, but if anything, I want deeper integration of Courier into our B2B SaaS product! In particular, I'd love for Courier to own the entire customer experience around configuring notification preferences since, ultimately, they manage those preferences in the end.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Courier lets us deliver technically excellent notifications (email, Slack) without massive developer investment. We've considerably improved experience quality, and development velocity in this area of our product

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Aaron, we agree with you 😎. We want to empower you to let your users manage their own preferences, and do it in your app with a courier-built embeddable element. I hope you'll be excited to hear that we recently launched a brand new Preferencee Center in app widget into private beta. If you or anyone else is interested in trying it out, let us know at support@courier.com.

You can also follow this feature on our updates page to see when it goes live for everyone here: https://updates.courier.com/board/preferences-center

  ### 45. Courier is a great, but part of documentation that still lacks much more complete examples.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruno S. | Developer Frontend, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Complete tooling and quick implementation

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

The tool doesn't have such a high range of customizations.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication between company systems and faster conversation with the end user about actions that are taking place in real time.

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Hi Bruno, thanks for the feedback. We're always working to improve our documentation, and the ability to discover the resources that are there. We now have a section called "Quick Starts" Here's the Node JS example (https://www.courier.com/docs/guides/getting-started/nodejs/) We also have a growing setof Tutorials. Here's the one for How to Send A Notification (https://www.courier.com/docs/guides/tutorials/how-to-send-a-notification/)

  ### 46. Really handy tool for reducing boilerplate and managing multi-channel notifications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier's strength is in it's simplicity. You can use their API to send notifications via any number of integrations that you already have with specific channels. It abstracts away much of the boilerplate you'd otherwise need in order to individually interact with the clients for each of those channel's APIs. You then get the added bonuses like being able to manage notification content in their GUI rather than writing lots of markdown or HTML.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

There have been a few small bugs, but to be expected from a startup with a lean team, and they've always been responsive and helpful quickly.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We send notifications via a variety of channels, and courier allows us to manage all of that in one place. Before, we would've needed a microservice for each channel. Now, we just need one notification service.

  ### 47. Courier offers a clean and simple interface to send notifications to our clients.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier offers a lot of flexibility and focuses on getting the message to a client and not worrying necessarily about the method. The channels and shared content libraries offer seamless integrations and notifications using both email and sms for example.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

I don't like that some information regarding sending a notification is hard to find. For example, it should be made clear that the email or the phone_number field is required for email and sms respectively. Additionally, I wish recipient was not a required field as it provides no function other than tracking the person - in my opinion it should be optional or explained that it can be any arbitrary string.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are making notifications much cleaner and easier to send. Instead of many endpoints we now only use one - sending a courier notification and Courier handles the rest

**Official Response from Nate Munger:**

> Hi - thanks for your feedback. We just recently finished a complete overhaul of our documentation (https://www.courier.com/docs/) . One of our goals was to make it easier to identify and surface the profile requirements for specific integrations. We've also added more detailed quick-start guides and tutorials.

An even bigger improvement that is currently in development is Courier API V2. A few key changes are listed below. If you check out the roadmap item linked below, you'll notice in the Send example that you don't need to provide a recipient ID.

1. Send programmatic templates (with the same Courier cross-channel magic) using Courier Elemental – no drag & drop template required!
2. Programmatic routing rules for fine-tuned control over channel & provider routing & failover
3. Send to multiple recipients with one "/send" call, including a mix of identified Users, anonymous recipients, Lists, and (coming soon) Audiences
4. Specify triggers to handle sequences, actions, and even Inbound Responses

  ### 48. Best Middleware for Sending Promotional and Trabsactional Emails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier has made the process of sending Transactional emails and Promotional emails so much easier for us. Also, the Courier documentation is PERFECT.

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

It doesn't provide much flexibility is editing the Header and Footer. Could do with a bit more editing characteristics.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have integrated Courier to our Platform to make it easier to send Email Notifications and Push Notifications as well.

  ### 49. The easiest way to manage notifications through any channel

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ish B. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

Courier has completely simplified how we roll out beautiful notifications to our customers.

Their UI makes it easy to build notifications and dictate how they get distributed to our customers. Our company relies particularly on leveraging notifications channels like email, slack, SMS, etc..

Courier makes it easy to deliver to all these channels and more.

Not to mention that their customer support is superb!

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

One thing I'd like to see more is analytics for the various notifications that we send. We're able to see open and click rates, but I'd like to see analytics for these at a high level and trends among various types of notifications and target segments.

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Ensuring that notifications are consistent across various channels
2. Determining how notifications are distributed
3. Creating new notification templates in an easy-to-use UI

  ### 50. Makes notification management so much easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adar A. | Co-Founder & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Courier?**

* Can just design & edit notifications with a good UX. No need to write HTML & text versions for emails anymore.
* Can let my product manager edit the content, and then just approve it for production - no need to have engineers touch sensitive code

**What do you dislike about Courier?**

* The documentation is still a bit lacking, so I found myself talking directly with the CS team a bit much

**What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Courier lets my company manage our customer communication in one place, over multiple channels.
Saved us a lot of time versus manually maintaining email templates.
