What do you like best about RIB costX?

I love iTWO costX because Im a construction Estimator and its the best Estimating Software I have used by far.Efficent since I first used MS Excel to do estimating this software has made it all easy and can even be able to store data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RIB costX?

At the moment the price its too costly so I can only access it at work as I do the company's work but for personal use I wish it was more affordable and I would be able to use it to Qunatify my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RIB costX solving and how is that benefiting you?

Well efficiency and the fact that you can register projects and have data of past projects in which you can compare price changes from and easily build up your database from. Estimating is made easy thanks to this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RIB costX?

Integrated measurement and workbooks equal easier checking and review. The workbook works much the same as Excel (same formulas, format etc), so seasoned industry professionals should be right at home. Measurement has some good features such as being able to manually change measured shapes afterwards. Server based, so if you're working on something with colleagues from another office, in theory things should be much simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RIB costX?

As mentioned above, CostX is based on a central server. This does mean that it is susceptible to IT issues; if the server is down you might not be able to use it. More in-depth than Autodesk or CATO, so learning needs to be structured and formalised. Output templates need to be created and uploaded by a 'super-user', which can be a logistical headache if they are unavailable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RIB costX solving and how is that benefiting you?

CostX allows for easier and quicker checking and verification of measurement. The output features, when used properly, save a large amount of time over completing cost plans in, say, Excel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We appreciate the comprehensive review! It’s great to hear you’ve experienced efficiency benefits while verifying measures with CostX, and we agree that our integrated takeoff and workbooks are a real time-saver.

Regarding the feedback about central servers, it’s worth noting that CostX is available in Network, Standalone and Portable configurations, so users are able to choose the setup that best suits their business requirements.

What do you like best about RIB costX?

The UI of CostX is very intuitive on the takeoff side of things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RIB costX?

The cost side of the software is a little less intuitive, and running reports requires a good deal of skill Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
