We appreciate the Document Assembly Ruleset feature, which allows us to filter multiple clauses using child object fields. For example, if we want to display three clauses based on line item fields, we can do so easily. This approach creates only a single content control in the template, making it much simpler for us to review the template if any issues arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
X-Author is a very hard product to work with. We face many issues, such as it sometimes stops working, crashes MS Word, or the extension itself gets disabled. Even after changing our system, we still experience these issues intermittently. We need to reach out to support to fix this, which delays our work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Conga provides an easier way to accomplish parallel reviews that no other software seems to be able to do. During our busy season many of our users are generating and sending contracts all day with no issues or slow downs which is amazing based on the volume. Works surprisingly well with Salesforce staying within any limits set out by salesforce Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Smart search does not function as it should. We have had a few teams from Conga review it with little success Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It integrates seamlessly with Salesforce CRM and helps automate key processes for sales teams. It’s also well suited to handling complex, enterprise-level contracts and obligations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Setup can be lengthy and challenging, and it often requires specialized expertise or additional support. Migrating templates between environments can also be difficult and may take extra effort to get right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like that Conga CLM is user-friendly and is always innovating. It's great for managing our agreements, generating templates, and managing our customer database and contractual obligations. Having one platform for all our contracts reduces risk and exposure, while improving contract management and customer experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Conga CLM offers excellent flexibility and automation across the contract lifecycle. Its deep integration with Salesforce makes it easy to manage contracts directly within existing sales and legal workflows. The dynamic document generation, clause library, and approval automation features help ensure consistency, compliance, and faster turnaround times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Conga CLM can be complex to configure and maintain, especially when setting up advanced workflows or custom integrations. The learning curve for administrators and end users is relatively steep, and some tasks require technical support or development effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Even though there are so many integration options, some might think that it would require a lot of time to integrate these capabilities into Conga — but no, it is very easy to integrate all these options. The documentation provides detailed steps on how to do this and also mentions which teams need to be involved during the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For bug fixes, the Conga team takes quite a lot of time, and we are not happy with this. Taking one or two months just to fix a small issue is not good, as it delays our entire business cycle. They really need to make significant improvements in this area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to map fields on the templates and migrating the templates from different orgs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The newer version of X-Author for CLM is not very user friendly like version 1 so it gets difficult when you have clauses for multiple templates Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like is that CLM has many supporting products such as X-Author for Contracts, X-Author for Excel, Migration Manager, and Conga Sign, which help scale this product and make integration with CLM very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customization around Conga CLM is hard to do, and for large data scenarios, Conga CLM does not work properly and slows down, so optimization is needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
