Collibra is an excellent tool for data management using collaborations. It is scalable and can be integrated with external systems. Data Catalog, Stewardship, and OOTB workflows are very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Collibra is a premium solution and can be costly, which might not be feasible for small or medium-sized businesses with limited budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very User friendly too. Easy to learn and configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a technical metadata tool, Collibra is great. It seems comparatively less explored territory for business users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The coaching hours, hands-on/ assigned Customer Success Manager, and ticketing system have proven essential. New hires appreciate Collibra University and coaching hours. I appreciate the responsiveness of our Account Rep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Costs of specific add-ons and the licensing pricing structure seem high for what constitutes an author license. It may help to look at allowing the consumer licenses to do some bare minimum tasks, such as filling out assessments or submitting a workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Collibra creates comprehensive, detailed technical lineages that can be customized to display the data flow customers are searching for. Collibra displays all connections from a high level, which can then be zoomed in to display specific areas of interest. The view of the areas of interest can then be customized to display attributes of interest to the customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Collibra charges separately for connections to programs such as Salesforce, Oracle, and ServiceNow through their marketplace. If you have a large number of programs to connect, it can get expensive quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its flexibility regarding the operating model (meta data specification), the ability to extend the experience by nearly seamless integrating it with Excel (preferred business users tool) and other applications using the extensive API framework, the ability to build customised workflows, the customisation opportunities of the look and feel of the application (to corporate standards), the comparative light-weight feel of how the application behaves/performs. The ugliness of the user interface when used as-is (style, buttons), some aspects are clunky (complex relationships), the fact Collibra removed some functionality (automated hyperlinking) and never got around to build proper versioning (despite various urges from the user community to do so). Collibra features quality data lineage capabilities and handles master data management well. Governing assets makes logical sense on their platform and configuring new resources and assets is straightforward. Out-of-the-box capabilities are more than enough to help a business start down its data governance initiative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Edge connector is severely limited by OS requirements and could use expansion in that regard, though the technology itself is impressive. Certain elements of the governance model are either redundant or seem narrow is scope. Namely the assignment of roles and responsibilities. When used in conjunction with groups it works but is difficult to explain to non-technical users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Transparency of Data, Data Intelligence and Data Culture Development. The whole company, from IT to the business, may gain from data lineage. It gives an organization's data the visibility and context it needs, while also allowing IT to concentrate on strategic projects rather than manually mapping data. Applied data valuation can be improved. Apart from that technical support can also be bit improved. Simplification of the licensing model would help customers more Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how customizable everything is. There is a good amount of OOTB features to cover basic set-up, but assets, relations, roles are all able to be customized to make for a more unique user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are certain customizations that I wished were easier, such as being able to control certain features of the UI; for example, the ability to hide the Data Basket feature until it was ready for use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
