As a tool that is also expected to be used by business users in addition to technical users, collibra is one of the most user-friendly tools in the market providing 360-degree coverage of data. Collibra provides capabilities to take informed decisions by making data discoverable as per the permissions and also making sure we are well equipped against any possible data breach. When we talk about being a one-stop shop for all data needs, I wish to see chat functionality in collibra which is not present as of now. So that any user can contact and chat with the responsible person one-to-one (not using the comments section which can be seen by all users) without going out of collibra. Definitely, the most vital point of Collibra is the whole concept coming with the tool - Education platform (University), Community (Data Citizens), Advisory (Adoption Services) and then the software itself. The competition very often focuses only on the solution only, without those additional components. Unfortunately, there are several weak points of Collibra. Very technical and not intuitive User Interface heavily impacts the end user's experience. All people without technical knowledge have many issues at the beginning of their Collibra journey which gives a really bad first impression. Very often without any training, nobody in the organization is able to use the tool and understand how metadata is structured there.
