We started with Cohesity physical appliances for production and DR, and then we add Backup as a Service to our environment to handle all of our cloud items. The Helios interface is simple and easy to use. Cohesity is a blend of cost effective storage designed for secondary or archival data as well as integrates well with number of other systems like Vmware, Pure storage or AWS with API's available to the user. Backing up VM's , indexing data and restoring data is a bliss and lightening fast. At the same time the data compression and dedup is robust and best in the category of secondary storage. Cohesity is a solid and consistent backup solution. Implementation was simple, and we were backing up in less than 2 hours. The interface is easy to use and simple to understand. Cohesity Helios has the capabilities of converting all our standalone instances to Virtual machines with few clicks. In addition, it provides an intuitive user console that can be accessed with minimum prerequisites. We can also contact its support team using its built-in chat option for resolving simple pitstops. It would be excellent to have some enhancements in its automated backup services. Apart from this, all other features are impressive, especially its web interface that allows our clients to retrieve files without interacting with our application servers directly.
