**What do you like best about Cognism?**

This platform is very easy to use and highly intuitive. I can conduct detailed research within minutes, and it conveniently generates data lists in CSV format. I also appreciate its integration with the CRM, specifically Salesforce, which allows me to exclude existing customers from the data. The customer support team is very accessible and was able to help me resolve login issues within just a few hours. I use it twice a week. I was easily onboarded with 1 hour training.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

I believe there needs to be greater clarity and more tools regarding data usage. Although they state that they are GDPR compliant, they do not offer any clear, GDPR-friendly methods for reaching customers. It would be helpful if they provided a third-party data agreement for specific contacts. Additionally, I find that the drop-down menu in the prospector can be somewhat challenging to navigate at times.

**What problems is Cognism solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me discover new contacts and update the information for existing accounts in our CRM. Additionally, I find it useful for creating target audiences for social media campaigns.

**What do you like best about Cognism?**

The view is super easy friendly compared to other tools I've used. This is really important to me when I'm trying to quickly prospect. I'd say the emails have about a 90% success which again is better than anything I've used before.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

Would be more convenient to have an option to copy and paste an idividuals linkedin URL into the search bar rather than through the plugin. The Turnovers are also extremely off creating more admin for me.

**What problems is Cognism solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing really accurate information and allowing me to get details quickly and efficiently. it's also useful to have the titles of the individuals and have it in order of hierarchy.

**What do you like best about Cognism?**

I find it particularly useful that I can search by industry, and being able to filter by region is especially helpful with my job. This combination of features allows me to focus on particular regions one at a time, which is great when I'm cold calling. For example, I can look for law firms in Edinburgh, and Cognism lets me narrow down my search and minimize unusual results. The initial setup of Cognism was really easy, without any issues, so I was up and running with it in a day or two.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

I think that it struggles with Scotland in particular. It doesn't allow me to segment that out as a separate nation within The UK. Also, it's very biased in favor of large enterprise organizations. Whenever you're trying to find sort of medium to large companies, it can sometimes prove a bit more laborious to dig through the results. We could do with more specificity as well whenever it comes to breaking down the different industries and categorizations for The UK versus some of the US and the very tech-based terminology that's currently used in the system.

**What problems is Cognism solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cognism to find contact details of key individuals in organizations. It helps me get email addresses and mobile numbers that aren't public. Searching by industry and filtering by region is really helpful, especially for narrowing down my search for specific needs like law firms in Edinburgh.

**What do you like best about Cognism?**

I use Cognism to search for contact data on leads, which helps me inform them about the products I represent at my company. I appreciate its capabilities like accessing contact details, the prospector, and the company summary. The contact details feature allows me to call or email leads directly. I find the prospector valuable for finding potential clients based on specific parameters like company size, growth rate, and key contacts. The company summary helps me quickly determine if a company fits my ideal customer profile. Additionally, I found the initial setup of Cognism easy.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

I don't like that Cognism's data quality is not uniform in every market. It lacks reliable data in my market, Spain. Many emails that appear as verified are wrong.

**What do you like best about Cognism?**

I really appreciate Cognism's integration capabilities, especially with LinkedIn. Once we've identified a target merchant, we can easily find the right decision maker and instantly pull up any contact details using the Cognism Chrome Store web app. It enables us to enroll them in outbound sequences seamlessly, which is incredibly efficient. The Chrome add-in is especially amazing because it allows for direct exporting into our CRM, which streamlines setting up workflows to enroll prospects in different sequences. Additionally, the ease of setup is remarkable. It's very intuitive, requiring only simple training, and the integration with our CRM is straightforward. Overall, Cognism provides invaluable live contact data that is seamlessly accessed, making it much better than purchasing static data sets. It's the best database I've encountered, contributing to a high likelihood of recommending it to others, as it's truly invaluable for contact data acquisition.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

The personas feature in Cognism doesn't work well for us. Our roles for who the right decision makers are vary so widely that it ends up being such a long list to build into a persona, which makes it ineffective for our needs.

**What problems is Cognism solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cognism for outbound prospecting, finding decision-makers, and enrolling prospects in sequences, effectively solving contact and outreach issues.

**What do you like best about Cognism?**

It works well for our EMEA team. Has good security for our Hubspot integration. I use it every day due to the Hubspot integration. Easy to use and our team adopted it easily.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

Not as good with our NA team. Often missing emails that other enrichment products have, frequent incorrect phone numbers are included- especially ones where the person has the same name but are not the right person at all. I use it everyday, but have to reconcile with other enrichment sources. I only use the Chrome extension because I do not feel the lists directly on Cognism are up to date.

**What problems is Cognism solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is meant to be used for enrichment, but I do not think it is as accurate as other products.

I appreciate how Cognism comprehensively solves our business reach issues with its ability to filter profiles with ease, which significantly saves us time. The software is remarkably straightforward and intuitive, making it accessible for team members with varying levels of IT expertise. This ease of use ensures our team can quickly become efficient users of Cognism. Support responsiveness is outstanding, as any queries are usually resolved within a few hours, ensuring our business operations remain uninterrupted. The filtering feature, especially based on intent, is particularly beneficial for our niche business needs, allowing us to target our audience more effectively. Transitioning from LinkedIn Sales Navigator to Cognism was a significant improvement, as it considerably decreases the time required for searching and data collection. Moreover, the setup of Cognism was extremely easy and intuitive, adding to a seamless experience. Overall, I find Cognism significantly more efficient than previous methods and valuable enough to recommend it to industry peers.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

I think when extracting a list or choosing profiles to add to your list, being limited to only viewing 25 profiles per page can be a bit long-winded. For example, we got the 2000 contacts a month package, and adding 2000 contacts, 25 at a time can be a very long process. It also causes us to have multiple contacts from the same company, as when adding them to the list, you can only control how many contacts from the same company you want on that page, and the next page it resets.

I use Cognism to efficiently reach target profiles, saving time through intuitive filtering and fast support. The software's ease of use helps quickly train team members and improve business continuity, greatly enhancing our niche business operations.

I truly appreciate Cognism’s ease of use, primarily through its Google Chrome extension, which is a feature I wish I had years ago. This tool allows me to efficiently pull up any contact and view detailed information quickly, such as titles, names, available phone numbers, email addresses, and determine if they're already in our CRM. This seamless integration with Salesforce means less manual entry, making Cognism a crucial part of my daily routine. The speed and accuracy at which I get information has significantly impacted my efficiency, allowing me to prospect and conduct outreach effortlessly. I do not have specific dislikes here that make it a struggle to use, particularly with the extension or the cloud app. However, like other tools, I wish there was more access to mobile numbers instead of just HQ switchboard numbers. But I understand the limitations due to GDPR and privacy laws, which prevent some details from being accessible.

The team I work with, our account manager and customer service (Ben Osborne and Iman Zuberi) are so helpful and they can't do enough for us whenever we need help with the system. The system is easy to use, and the integration process was seamless.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

The data isn't always 100% accurate (although I understand it's difficult to achieve this). Also the number of intent data is quite limited, it'd be good to have more intent data in there but I appreciate it's likely due to the niche B2B sector I operate in. Company ID would also be useful for us.

**What problems is Cognism solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping our new direct sales team work through volumes of data to start prospecting. Also useful for us to use for our lead generation marketing nurturing campaigns.

**What do you like best about Cognism?**

I really enjoy the ease with which I can export bulk data into a CSV file using Cognism, which streamlines the data handling process for my role significantly. The LinkedIn extension is another fantastic feature, proving to be incredibly useful when prospecting. The platform's vast availability of contact data helps me extensively, although there can be some inaccuracies. Nonetheless, being able to quickly and easily filter through useful contacts when prospecting makes it invaluable. I find that, even though the mobile numbers may often be personal, they tend to result in more responsive communication, a huge plus for my role as an Account Manager. The initial setup was very straightforward and hassle-free, which I greatly appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

I find the accuracy of mobile contact numbers provided by Cognism can be improved, as they often tend to be personal rather than work numbers, which poses an objection sometimes. Additionally, the limit on exporting only 25 contacts at a time into a list is inconvenient. It would be significantly more efficient to have the capability to export a larger quantity of contacts all at once, such as 500, which would save a great deal of time. Moreover, the lack of integration with our CRM necessitates exporting data into a CSV file to manually build out a spreadsheet, which could be more streamlined with direct integration, although this is not something that our head office in Germany is currently supporting.

This makes it a lot easier to reach out to many people at once, which is like 'casting a wide net.' I find it very easy to use, and it fits seamlessly with our CRM. The AI search feature saves me time by looking through leads I've imported without needing to set numerous filters. I love that Cognism provides a reliable Chrome extension which allows me to seamlessly upload leads directly into Salesforce. This integration facilitates a more streamlined workflow as I don't have to open Cognism in a separate web browser, thus saving time and effort. I also find it incredibly beneficial to be able to create lists and upload contacts into these lists, keeping my outreach organized and efficient. The setup of Cognism was very user-friendly, as it was quick, simple, and even integrating with Salesforce was a breeze. This ease of use and integration enhances my productivity significantly when managing outreach tasks.

I find that there aren't enough email contacts with verified email addresses on Cognism. While there are many verified phone numbers, both direct and office, reliable email contacts are lacking. This is a concern for me as emails are the primary channel for my outreach efforts.

I’ve been using Cognism for a while now as a BDR, and I’m genuinely happy with the platform. It’s become one of the tools I rely on most in my day-to-day, especially for uncovering new logos and identifying accounts I wouldn’t have found on my own. One of the features that has been particularly valuable for me is the account search by intent — it surfaced several interesting opportunities that turned into real conversations.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

Data is frequently missing for contacts in Benelux and Switzerland.

**What problems is Cognism solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cognism has made it much easier for me to identify and target the right accounts, greatly increasing the efficiency of my prospecting efforts. I’ve found the intent-based account search particularly useful, as it has allowed me to discover new logos and opportunities that I might have missed otherwise. Although there are sometimes gaps in the data for Benelux and Switzerland, the platform has still had a significant positive impact on both the speed and quality of my outreach.

I find Cognism incredibly valuable for my sales prospecting and contact enrichment efforts. Its ability to help identify the right contacts based on their name, role, or organization name is particularly impressive. This feature ensures that I can quickly find the specific individual I need to connect with, which significantly streamlines my workflow. The tool is powerful in bringing essential contact details to the forefront, which is crucial for my role within the sales team. I find there are some challenges with the pop-up window integration within Salesforce. Unlike ZoomInfo or Lucia, which immediately pop up whenever a contact detail matches our file, Cognism requires me to manually open the prospected tool and search for the contacts. This process could be improved to save time by allowing me to pull out details more efficiently. Additionally, the initial setup was a bit challenging due to the silent authentication process with single sign-on, where it wasn't clear if authentication was successful or still in progress. This took some time for me to understand initially.

The system makes the process of prospecting new companies much more efficient and allows finding direct contacts, such as emails and phone numbers, something that was a challenge previously. All of this greatly facilitates the work of searching and updating contact information within my field of work. The initial setup of Cognism was extremely simple, which is a significant positive point for anyone adopting a new tool.

In countries like Romania and Hungary, I have quite a bit of difficulty finding direct contacts, such as emails and phone numbers of workers.

I love the Cognism chrome extension. My process for prospecting is that I have a group of named accounts and I need to target very senior finance professionals. I'll do research in LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Cognism shows me their email and mobile phone. Their quality of contact details is insane compared to other tools. Also they almost always have the email, and most of the time they also have the mobile phone number. In case they don't have the mobile, I can hit the 'diamond verify' button, and they will look for the phone number and send me an email once they have it. It makes my life so much easier and I'm able to connect with the right prospects immediately. Given that they are all executives whom are normally very difficult to reach, this makes it even more unique. I really appreciate their work and I'm using their tool every day.  and will continue to use their service! I

Their UI of their online dashboard is quite complicated and it takes some time to get used to it. Once you are it works great, but for new users they need to keep in mind it will take some time to get familiar with the tool. On a positive note they did a team wide in person training were they trained our whole team on using the tool.

The biggest problem it's solving for me and my  team is the speed at which we can find the right contact information (mobile phones and email addresses). Because of this I can contact the right prospect immediately. They are super reliable, meaning: they almost always have the personal email, they almost always have the mobile phone number, in case they don't they can look for it which I really like. The problem they solve is cutting time we would otherwise spend on researching this ourselves. We don't have to deal with annoying gatekeepers. It massively speeds up our deal cycles as we can get into contact with almost everyone, including executives. We like the ease of use and speed it offers.

The most helpful feature is the quality and accuracy of contact data, especially mobile numbers and job titles. It saves time and boosts connect rates, which is crucial for effective prospecting

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

I haven’t received any notifications after submitting contacts for Diamond verification, so I’m unsure how reliable or responsive that feature is. It would be helpful to have clearer updates or status tracking to know when a contact has been verified

Cognism solves the problem of finding accurate, compliant contact data at scale. It helps me quickly identify and reach the right decision-makers, which saves time, improves connect rates, and keeps my pipeline consistently full with qualified leads

**What do you like best about Cognism?**

The UI is intuitive, making it easy to search, filter, and export contacts without much of a learning curve. I also appreciate the Chrome extension.

The granularity of filters (job titles, technographics, company size, etc.) helps target very specific personas, which is key for account-based marketing. From a demand gen perspective, it gives you the ability to fuel personalized campaigns at scale. I also like that it now includes intent data and verified emails with compliance checks, making outreach cleaner and less risky.

**What do you dislike about Cognism?**

While the tool is overall strong, there are a few areas where it could improve. The integration with HubSpot and Salesforce is limited unless you’re on higher-tier plans or go through additional setup. Syncing custom fields or building automated workflows from Cognism data isn’t always seamless without Zapier or middleware. There are also occasional gaps in US contact coverage, and some enrichment fields (like direct dials) can be inconsistent. And I get a high bounce rate when using it for email campaigns.

The search is terrible. It claims to be AI search, but if you leave one letter out (eg "Smit" instead of "Smith") it does not find the contact  or even suggest alternatives. This type of predicitive or fuzzy search is 2000's technology...
