Top Rated CodinGame Alternatives

There is a lot to do on CodinGame, and it is a great site for programmers of all skill levels to go and learn and practice. You can work on programming puzzles that are in varying skill levels from easy to very hard. If you need a bigger challenge there are bot programming competitions where you write AI bots to play games against the bots of other programmers. If you want something quick you can to 5 minute coding battle in Clash of Code. These are my favorites, and there is more than that to do on the site.
The browser based code editor on CodinGame is perhaps the best I've seen on line, but if you don't like that CodinGame has a Chrome plugin that allows you to sync with your local file system which allows you to use your favorite IDE. CodinGame supports a large list of programming languages, from the very popular to the not so popular. If you want to learn a new programming language this a great place to practice using it.
CodinGame has a very active community of programmers. You can always find help in the Forums or using the built in chat feature. It really is a very active site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The bot programming usually requires more code than the puzzles, but everything has to be submitted in a single file. When you get to thousands of lines of code it begins to be difficult have to scroll back and forth through the file. It would be nice if you could submit a multi-file project. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. The questions seem well targeted and realistic, without catering to overly-niche domain knowledge or wrote memorization. The coding exercises were effective and reliable, and reasonably easy to understand, although the Java exercise I attempted did not clarify the criteria for the desired output very well. It seems like the time limits are a little too short, and favor speed readers and rote memorization over analytical skill and attention to detail. Like most standardeized assessments, it also struggles to capture the skill one might display in a real-world software engineering environment, but not as badly as most of them do. Codingame has been a great tool to assess the Technical Skill of every candidate we talk with.
Also, it's not only about the service itself, but the way it is delivered by the team. Recommend to try it out! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hard to tell about it, because the dialog works out very well.
All the suggestions, all the issues that happen, they're available through various channels, and they solve it on time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Focused interface, good user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would insert a "Back" button next to "Submit" so I would not have to hover back to the top of the screen and check other questions.
Additionally, a completion % bar would be good so I can quickly track how much is still left to completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can program in a IDE and see instant results. Also you can see what tests are not working yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes a bit slow by showing the documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The timer is a positive pressure to assess the person's stress management and organization before the test. In addition, a tutorial part allows the user to prepare for the exercise, so no unpleasant surprises. The exercises and questions have various levels and allow the person who analyzes them before chaining them to choose an order to minimize the loss of points.
Very good job Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of an IDE to help answer the quizzes (usefulness will depend on the level and functioning of the person). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's friendly with the developer and allows him to code in a modern IDE online - increasing the chances he can prove his actual skills.
Neat display of coding progress, not just the final result.
As a developer, I code on CodinGame as a hobby. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Does not cover theoretical questions or scenarios that can't be expressed in 15 mins of coding (architecture, solution design, soft skills) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Clash code, the certification assessments, and the way the overall project is built. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to mention right now. I could probably suggest a smaller period to assess a language again :), a week rather than a month? probably? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The games and exercises are really interesting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I hate recruitment tests, I don't find them relevant.
Doing an exercise with a predefined time and the pressure to understand on the first reading is really very difficult for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I liked the overall look, it's pretty user friendly and they associate some of your test with visual result (like robot taking crates) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I didn't like the IDE. As an experienced programmer I have all my habits on the IDE I'm using for coding. I did all the coding on my IDE and copy-paste it in CodinGame. The IDE is fine but when you have experience, you have a bunch of shortcut that make you super efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
