If I had to select something, it is not liking that you can't move screens across modules. **Recommendations to others considering Coassemble:** It is really easy to use. Coassemble is what a modern LMS solution should be. It is extremely easy to use and create engaging and pleasing learning experiences for trainees. It's in-built authoring tools are simple to use and produce a high quality result, and reduce the need for 3rd party software to create interactive learning experiences. They have recently overhauled their authoring tools with new features and it is by far the easiest and nicest looking I have ever used. I am also very pleased by the rapid pace of development, coming from other major LMS systems where development proceeds at a glacial pace it is a nice change. The amount of features and updates released this year is staggering. Another bonus is the integration with Zapier, which has allowed us to allow self-service purchasing of our course content and significantly reduce administrative overhead. **What do you dislike about Coassemble?** I would like to see the following improvements: - LTI Integration. This would bring dozens of additional tools into the platform. - Integrated H5P support. This could be accomplished via LTI integration, or they could develop their own H5P plugin. The company would experience huge growth if they could promote and highlight H5P integration as it has a large following in the elearning industry worldwide. - Improved performance. The platform is still way too slow and they need to prioritise development to speed it up - Platform stability. There have been too many intermittent outages this year where our learners experience issues with accessing their training. A cloud based solution should have 99.99%+ uptime and we do expect Coassemble to do better in this department **Recommendations to others considering Coassemble:** - If you want to deliver training to clients, or internally to your organisation, I would strongly consider Coassemble - If you want integrations with 3rd party systems or automation, this is a great platform - If you want in-built authoring tools, consider this platform - If you want great support, consider this platform **What problems is Coassemble solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are experiencing significant growth and scaling our training for new clients is imperative to our customer success. The ease at which we are able to create training courses and update them has allowed us to continue to scale our organization without missing a beat and ensuring we do not slow down production. **What do you dislike about Coassemble?** One thing that I think all creators would benefit from on this platform is an alert system for when there are blank quizzes inserted in lessons or blank lessons so that the creator can go back and ensure they are filled out. Not only does coassemble allow you to have better control of how you can train it makes it interactive with their quizzes and lesson modules. Not to mention if you ever have a question they have a team ready to assist I've been extremely lucky to have worked with Anne on several occasions and she is very prompt in getting my questions answered and if she needs to do a little digging she lets me know and then we continue to troubleshoot. It allows unlimited users for a great price. The support and technical teams reply fast and are helpful. They find solutions to problems, fix bugs, and listen to suggestions to improve the platform. Overall, we are happy with Coassemble. **What do you dislike about Coassemble?** We have over 2’000 learners and we use groups as a way to organize and segment them. It would be helpful to be able to filter more (like filter all the users that belong to group A AND group B) and to export more lists of users to Excel (e.g., export all pending users, or all users that belong to group C). Some of our trainers are located in Europe, so between 8am and 1pm the chat function is not covered. The reporting is not accurate and clearly needs improvement, but we have been informed that they are working on it. Its simple, uncluttered layout make it easy for new staff and learners to use it. It doesn't have every bell and whistle that more complicated LMS do; however, for us that's one of its best attributes. You can find what you need without being distracted by "once in a blue moon" features that we are unlikely to need. We have many staff, who are not HR or Learning and Development experts, that need to author training and deliver it. This sets them up to succeed in ways that other LMS we've looked at or had do not. Their support staff also seem interested in actually understanding the Why behind our business needs which is refreshing. **What do you dislike about Coassemble?** Coassemble is still working to develop the reporting component. The reporting is not always accurate. They seem to be taking steps to address that, and we hope to see the fix within a couple of months. **Recommendations to others considering Coassemble:** Consider if you need a system with all the bells and whistles. If so, this may not be it. However, if you need a product with many features, easy to use, and well-priced, this may be it. **What problems is Coassemble solving and how is that benefiting you?** The primary problems we're solving using Coassemble are challenges our staff has faced finding matching times to meet in person with volunteers; we're a non-profit. Additionally, volunteers have wanted more frequent development opportunities and flexible options for training, which this achieves. This resource also enables our non-training and development staff members to create good-looking, engaging content. Our 8000+ volunteers receive a consistent training experience and message, which helps us achieve our mission. ### 10. I did a side by side comparison of Coassemble vs Thinkific and it was just so much quicker and intuitive to create the course, upload videos, make things public or private, etc. **What do you dislike about Coassemble?** There's a little less control over settings compared to other LMSs, but that's the trade-off you get with a streamlined UI. **Recommendations to others considering Coassemble:** If you're looking for an easy-to-use LMS at a great price, you don't have a lot of time to learn or deal with a clunky LMS clicking 10-15 settings checkboxes on multiple screens, and you don't want to buy a separate expensive course authoring software seat, then Coassemble is for you. Our shortlist of LMSs included Coassemble, Thinkific, LearnWorlds, and Talent LMS because all of these fit our budget and functional requirements (e.g., private vs public courses, CRM integration via Zapier, certificates, quizzes and exams, user management, reporting, bulk enrollment, learning paths/tracks). Coassemble won because they met all of our requirements listed above, they were well priced, their UI won the side-by-side comparison test for ease of use and setup that I did in trial, and their sales and support teams were incredibly proactive and helpful. I was able to set up my company's Coassemble portal including all of the branding and custom domain in three hours max with very little help needed from the Coassemble team. Other LMS vendors told me it would take a minimum of three weeks to get implemented (sometimes closer to eight or more weeks.) It's been relatively easy to be an admin and invite other admins, bulk enroll users, create groups, create a path for courses, etc. Coassemble is very easy to use - fool-proof I say. The Coassemble Support Team is INCREDIBLE! I appreciated the onboarding kick-off with Rosalie and all of the support she and her teammates have given me and my colleague from Product. They're super accessible via chatbox and email, very thorough, and own your issues like they're your own. You feel taken care of with them. I would say they've been one of the best LMS vendors to work with. I appreciated that I didn't have to put my credit card in for a trial at an expensive plan that I'd have to remember to cancel. Their pricing is straight forward and I like the a la carte options like advanced integrations, premium certificates, and the custom domain. I love the great annual pricing. They've been very, very responsive throughout our onboarding. I give them a 9.5/10.0 and highly recommend them. **What problems is Coassemble solving and how is that benefiting you?** The 'problem' or 'job' we're using Coassemble for is we needed training for marketing, customer and partner product training, and eventually internal training. For instance, the feature that allows users to label an image using drag and drop places the tiles for dragging at the bottom instead of the side, which may lead to learners missing the tiles or getting confused about the task. Lastly, there are some limitations for course makers designing science or math courses. For quizzes and tests, math symbols need to be either copy and pasted or created as an image and then uploaded. Also, giving feedback for math and science questions is difficult because it's hard to show steps in the feedback area. The type of feedback that is best is a short message. Plus the templates provide unique, efficient means of breaking up content and creating ways to engage with learners. Overall, this is a WAY more efficient and effective means of building a course, versus building in PPT or an expensive and complicated authoring tool, and then importing via SCORM or TinCan. Any trainer, subject matter expert or passionate staff member can easily build a course, quickly demo (Please do this early and often!) and send out great content that is superior to an exported presentation or recorded webinar. And the user interface is clean and engaging and as effective on mobile/tablet in my experience. Overall, I think Coassemble is a great LMS for any organization, and could easily be used to supplement traditional systems given that the annual cost could easily be far less than the cost to create a single 30 minute online training in a traditional LMS design/build/export/demo/launch scenario. **What do you dislike about Coassemble?** Three primary issues: 1. At this stage, it isn't really possible to create a traditional library of downloadable links or resources as I've experienced in a few traditional (often clunky) LMS platforms. Right now you need to create a module and PDF or page with links, so it isn't as obvious to learners, and they need to navigate through the course to that material. But I imagine the folks at Coassemble will find a slick way of addressing this soon. 2. There is not a feature to ensure that learners have to watch an entire video. You can require them to open a video module, but at that point they can just advance to the next module or lesson. I completely understand that a learner can still "game" any system and let the video play in the background, but as someone who has primarily built courses for external enterprises or partners, it is not a pleasant experience to tell a client/project manager/funder that 10 people completed your 20 minute course, only to have to explain, or worse yet not disclose, that most of them only spent 4 minutes on the course because they didn't actually watch the great videos that were produced. 3. I love the templates and course building feature, but I did run into multiple scenarios where I watched a template video tutorial, was excited to build a module, and then built it to only realize upon previewing that the template had been updated without an update to the tutorial. Also, updates to templates are constantly being made, which is usually great, but there are times where the update changes the fundamental layout or module interaction, potentially rendering the module less effective. I believe Coassemble is working on a way to address this by seeing the course as it is built, but it would still be ideal to have the tutorial match the template layout as close as possible if a major change is made. **Recommendations to others considering Coassemble:** Just give Coassemble a try. It is fun and easy to use, and not very expensive to demo even at full price. I wish I had pushed harder for us to use Coassemble at my previous position, but we went with a traditional LMS because it is what we knew. **What problems is Coassemble solving and how is that benefiting you?** The cost and time to build courses and content. Coassemble is simply far more efficient and cost effective. It is simple enough to build a course and get it running...but more than that, it's really easy to make it look like a professional course. A lot of eLearning tools are easy to set up, but they look like it. These guys have built something that is simple enough, but your content looks like a pro set it up. An addition to this point is that they have worked on a partnership with an image library, so you can create really high quality pages easily without worrying about copyright. The learning curve for a non-tech person is a lot smaller with Coassemble than with other LMS products 2. The team are really open to building an outstanding product. No matter what crazy ideas I put to them or what silly questions I ask, they are always open to seeing if they can either make it work or hand it to the devs to get it put into the next round of building **What do you dislike about Coassemble?** It's hard to say - every product has limitations. The benefit of these guys is that you feel like you are part of helping them build their product whereas some other LMSs make you feel like off the shelf is all there is. Their back end interface is intuitive, and easy to use. The variety of templates provided removes the necessity to purchase a separate authoring tool. We love that it's a one stop shop! Our learners' engagement has increased, and they retain more information now with all the great features, check points, quizzes, and templates offered. It's a great eLearning platform! **What do you dislike about Coassemble?** Sometimes half way through building content, we want to switch templates and are unable to, without redoing it. This is pretty minor though, we've adapted and learned what templates work best with what type of information we're adding to them. We've also encountered some bugs a long the way, however it's clear Coassemble is moving quickly and iterating based on their user feedback. Even though we've encountered some glitches, their Customer Support team is extremely responsive, and will do everything they can to figure out a solution for you. Sometimes it feels like they're an extension of our L&D team, with out dedicated they are! **What problems is Coassemble solving and how is that benefiting you?** We don't need an additional authoring tool, which is fantastic so we are cutting additional overhead. Just about anyone (even with basic instructional design skills) can easily build really sleek and engaging courses, with the help of their 45+ templates. You'd think it would be overwhelming, but each templates offers a quick 1-3 minute tutorial which was really helpful in the beginning. We are definitely spending less time building courses, which has made our processes a lot more efficient. Sometimes our content can feel a little dry, and Coassemble has helped to keep it interesting. Also their reporting can be granular which is a big help, so it's been a great tool to measure engagement, completion of courses, and other data attributes.
