What I appreciate most about CoAdvantage is how easy it is to ensure our employees are paid on time.

**What do you dislike about CoAdvantage?**

The primary challenge we face is that many of our employees are not very tech-savvy, which can lead to difficulties when they try to use the platform.

**What problems is CoAdvantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have faced challenges securing workers' compensation insurance, but CoAdvantage has assisted us in maintaining our coverage at a very competitive rate.

Ease of portal function for employees to find information they need.

**What do you dislike about CoAdvantage?**

Having so many different departments to communicate with regarding Benefits, 401K, loan, and timekeeping systems. Would like for primary account contact to act as the director of all actions needed from our Facility.

**Recommendations to others considering CoAdvantage:**

You will need to employ your own HR department if needed unless you sign up for another package deal. Make sure you have a strong administrator to keep everything streamlined to make it easier for their system to follow any instructions or directions needed.

**What problems is CoAdvantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great payroll and employment documenting system to ease the steps needed for proper documentation.

Everything is easy and self explanatory. Staff is stellar if I have any questions or concerns.

**What do you dislike about CoAdvantage?**

I don't like that employees from one company can not be transferred easily to another company. We also have many many issues with employees trying to log into their app.

I'm currently working on getting a new hire packet together and coad is helping me through the process

There are dedicated specialists available to respond quickly or solve a particular problem for the account holder.

The owner-employee cannot be excluded from Worker's Compensation and other insurance coverages.  Rates also adjust fairly rapidly without any transparency or warning.

Be sure to understand, when setting up your account, how long the pricing is locked in for and if there are any limits to price adjustments in the future.

The expense of workers compensation penalties for small businesses with very few employees.

Even though we have a small team, having someone else work with me on payroll, benefits, taxes is extremely beneficial. I've never worked in HR so the learning curve is steep, but they have taken the time to explain everything to me and answer every question I have.

Benefit prices and enrollment is difficult and there doesn't seem to be presented in sufficient time for thorough review.  I work with multiple companies and they are all due at the same time.

Don't expect everything to go well, particularly with onboarding.  Pricing is competitive.  They will take on special requests, but follow through is lacking in some cases.

**Describe the project or task CoAdvantage helped with:**

CoAdvantage has helped my company to offer a one-stop place for all of my employee details and documents. In my account, I am able to access my YTD earnings with all relevant details, from gross pay amount, to tax breakdowns. These views can be detailed or summarized. Although my company doesn't offer it, CoAdvantage also links to healthcare benefits which is easily accessible through the portal. The update I received from CoAdvantage were always timely and helpful, and I loved that they offered benefits such as life insurance and retirement plans.

**What do you like best about CoAdvantage?**

Their user platform was easy to navigate, and their customer service was always available/helpful. I used the earnings and benefits tabs the most, and although I don't have much experience with its competitors, I found it a great service.

**What do you dislike about CoAdvantage?**

I didn't always remember my password and found it didn't have "memory" function like other websites do, so it was tricky to unlock my account sometimes, so if I could improve one thing that would be it.

**Recommendations to others considering CoAdvantage:**

This was a great, customer-forward product that offered a one-stop solution to HR and employment options for my company and employees. I found it a great tool for keeping employees happy and informed as well as accountable and self-sufficient.

Having all employment files in one place was convenient. This prevented the need to have to send emails/communicate with other personnel to access my information, and it saved paper (no more paper statements).

**Describe the project or task CoAdvantage helped with:**

At our technology startup we wanted to offer great benefits to employees even when we were a very small company so we went with CoAdvantage.  Given that they can aggregate all of their customers to negotiate decent prices we were able to get health care coverage and more at a much better price than if we negotiated directly with the insurance providers.  So that was definitely a positive outcome for our employees.

However, their platform is pretty basic for a payroll and HR product.  And they made some pretty big mistakes on some of our employee's taxes.  For example for employees whose salary exceed the FICA limits they continued to withdraw and pay FICA taxes after their Year To date exceeded the withholding limit.  When an  employee  moved states they updated the address but continued to withhold and pay taxes to the prior state, leading to discrepencies of thousands of dollars between the state jurisdictions.  It was shocking that the overwithheld on FICA, and it took a long time going back and forth with their support for them to even acknowledge there was a FICA limit and that they made overpayments.  And I've seen other payroll providers handle filing taxes with the wrong state much better than leaving it up to the employee to try and recover the taxes (which still hasn't been resolved 6 months later).  

Both of these are pretty fundamental errors when it comes to payroll processing, so if you go with CoAdvantage your employees need to be diligent about monitoring their paychecks and hope they understand taxes.

Product was very basic compared to other payroll products I've used, and they made some pretty fundamental errors managing tax withholding.

I like that I am able to login and see all my pay stubs, my remaining hours for PTO, and my current benefits.

It's difficult to figure out how to export your pay stub at first.

This provides a one-stop shop for the employees by giving them an access point for their benefits. It makes it easier for them to track everything.
