What do you like best about Cloudways?

Cloudways has been helping me run my blog related to automobile industry since January 2026. It’s fast, easy to use dashboard, renders the images optimally within milliseconds.

I have been using Digital Ocean basic server, but surely upgrade to a more powerful server in the future, as the size of the blog grows over time. It’s really amazing to see all the prominent web servers in one dashboard - AWS, Google Cloud, Vultr, Linode, along with Digital Ocean.

The dashboard is so intuitive that the users literally don’t have to make the unnecessary switches to manage multiple websites and servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudways?

When I first heard about Cloudways, I thought of purchasing the domain name along with hosting, but then I found out that Cloudways doesn’t provide domain services. Later, I was in need for the root access of the server, and during talking with the support executive, they told me due to their policies, they cannot share the root access. What do you like best about Cloudways?

I've been using Cloudways since October 2025, and been effectively managing my business with its DigitalOcean server. I like its ability to provide basic servers for small businesses. Later, they can switch to premium level servers by using its efficient scaling feature, without any interruptions.

Moreover, 2nd best thing is the support. I literally had to contact them multiple times regarding some technical challenges that I faced. They're available 24/7. The dashboard is easy to use, even a person with no experience can understand it very well. It's not complex at all.

Additionally, you get to manage five different types of hosting servers - Digital Ocean, Vultr, Linode, AWS, and Google Cloud.

I use basic server of DigitalOcean, as WordPress-based, because it's affordable for my business. I'll surely switch to premium level servers in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cloudways?

I use Cloudways to host my website. They create a seamless caretaking place, keeping it secure and hosting my website effectively. What I like about Cloudways is that I never really need to contact them; everything's taken care of seamlessly. Their availability is great when I do have issues, and they've been very available and quick to solve any problems I encounter. I feel like the cost for this level of service is well worth it. Hosting a website is complicated, and I'm not always clear about whether something is vulnerable on the site or not. The initial setup was somewhat difficult, especially transferring the administration from the website creators to myself as the main administrator, which took some effort. What do you like best about Cloudways?

The platform itself is easy to use and server setup is straightforward. When things are working normally, performance is solid. That's what drew me in — simple managed hosting with reliable backups. Unfortunately, when something actually goes wrong, the backup system and support fall apart completely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudways?

Their backup restore system completely failed when I needed it most. A plugin broke my site on April 14, and despite having a manual backup and hourly backups enabled, the restore would not work. I spent 12+ hours with their engineers who kept telling me they were working on a migration — which was not true. Nothing was happening.

After half a day of false updates, I had to come up with the fix myself: spin up a brand new server and have them manually apply the backup. Now I'm paying double server and double Cloudflare costs because their platform couldn't do a basic restore.

I submitted a compensation ticket. Five days later, no response. They viewed it, silently downgraded my priority from high to normal, and went quiet. The support experience was honestly worse than the technical failure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cloudways?

I really like Cloudways for its great customer service and support. They are really good at helping me troubleshoot my technical problems much easier than the competition. Their cloud-based support was especially helpful when I had malware on my sites. They were able to help me troubleshoot it, delete the malware, and, in the worst-case scenario, they even helped me back up and restore my websites, which helped a lot. They are pretty quick to respond and very easy to work with. Also, the support really helped during the initial setup, which was a bit technical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudways?

Maybe some of the interface can be a little confusing. And maybe make the steps on how to connect the domain names to the hosting simpler. Or use AI for that? A more of a step-by-step process or prompts would really help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cloudways?

The technology Cloudways provides to customers is best in class in my opinion.

Their customer support is world class, always committed to solving issues quickly, they take ownership of a problem, to such an extent that you feel like you're on the same team !

And the constant, well-designed and intuitive improvements and additions to their product suite is more than enough for almost every client to never want to leave ever again :)

The value to developers and technologist's is simply that you can rely on both the Cloudways technology and Support team, and not waste time endlessly with performance or debugging issues - they do the heavy-lifting for you, and you get to over-deliver to your happy clients, with ease.

I've hosted well over 15 different sites with CloudWays in the last 10 years and I wouldn't dream of migrating elsewhere :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudways?

To be the market leader, you have to provide the best technology and expertise - which simply adds up to a premium price structure that can deter some smaller customers.

It would be nice to pay a local price for local hosting at AWS Cape Town, and not have US Dollar as the only currency as it surely adds to the administrative and transactional cost that inevitably is passed down to the consumer.

This however is a opinion that lacks a complete view of how the pricing is formulated - so it's entirely possible that there actually isn't room for cutting costs to suit the local pocket. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Cloudways for hosting, plugin updates, security, and website migrations. I find the UI to be great, and I really appreciate the help from their support team. The performance of the servers is good, providing reliable hosting with premium, experienced support. What do you dislike about Cloudways?

I think a dashboard would be good for all sites/servers that shows the health of those servers, so we can see everything top level without having to click into individual servers.
