The usage buckets are only available on a monthly basis. Our user patterns tend to heavy use at one time of the year and very low use at another time of the year, so we have to manage the heavy months very carefully to get by without overage charges. Having an option that would average usage out over a larger period of time would be extremely helpful in managing our usage patterns. Sometimes it can be a bit confusing deciphering between environments and blueprints and getting things updated. Some of the buttons to create classes, open environments etc are a bit hidden and not intuitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It keeps me awake and away from boring videos explaining theoretical concepts. CloudShare allows you to create a simulated environment to learn how to use tools such as Docker and Terraform. This way, you're not going to destroy production systems in a work environment. Its just an area to test and learn by hand to avoid looking foolish in an interview. If my wifi drops for one second, i lose everything i've done in a lab and have to restart the entire thing again. That's incredibly frustrating when i just want to fall asleep. I love that I can build a replica of the client's environment myself, which gives me independence and changes everything for me in support. The sandbox environments are the part I use the most. They let me copy the client's setup and test without breaking anything real. The ability to test different fixes in a clone before touching the actual system is fantastic. Also, I appreciate that sessions can be linked to Salesforce contacts so that when a ticket comes back after weeks, I know exactly what was tested or fixed before without having to dig through notes. Running multiple sessions at the same time gets messy. The interface lags behind what is actually happening, so I sometimes sit there refreshing and waiting to see if an environment is ready. It has an outstanding ability to provision multi VM virtual labs and training environments in mere minutes. The template blueprint feature is excellent and enables our technical trainers to create production quality software environments without any manual configuration. This over the shoulder viewing feature is a great value when conducting remote training sessions as it allows instructors to see and interact with all students' workspaces at once. Specialized legacy operating systems are extremely cumbersome to set up and require a lot of manual support interaction because of the limitations on networking. The internal reporting portal is very cumbersome to use as it does not have any clear filtering system to break down the costs on a granular level by project. When deploying the system in a large batch environment, the system often times fails to validate and the administrators have to repeat the provisioning process. I like that CloudShare is very accessible for users, especially admins. It’s easy to upload and update content, and trainers can also manage it so it’s easily distributed across the team. I can link CloudShare to other systems, and participant access is easy to automate through KPIs. I really appreciate how CloudShare has simplified deploying and managing training and lab environments. It allows me to stand up a full environment without any physical hardware, smoothing out my workflow and letting me focus more on the training itself. I also love how I can tailor each environment to perfectly match the requirements of a course or demo, which makes my sessions much more relevant. My main sticking point is the latency during busier hours, which occasionally drags down the performance of the simulators and hands-on exercises I rely on mid-session. Some of the more advanced configuration settings are fiddlier than they need to be and aren't especially intuitive.
