Most live chats took < 1 minute to connect to an agent. Impressive as a lot of companies now dissuade from live chat agents resolving issues and you always end up in a ticket right away. It was nice to speak to someone who knew the product, understood exactly how it works and pointed me toward something I'd missed. Kudos to CloudNS for this. This now serves my customer base and has simplified my hosting of this DNS structure on my platform. It was super easy to set up if you followed all the guides. It also easily integrates into my control panels and non-panel servers. **What do you dislike about ClouDNS?** So far so good! The customer support staff go above and beyond to accomodate their customers. Their panel is easy to use and friendly, and integrates with tools such as DNScontrol and ACME/Certbot without issue. If you're moving from another DNS provider, they have a feature that allows you to import from a zonefile or perform an AXFR transfer which comes in very handy when you have quite a few DNS entries in a single zone. Signing up was quite easy to do, just by creating an account and selecting the package that fits my needs and then making payment I was up and running in no time. Everything just works without the need to contact support, which means I rarely have to login to make any changes. **What do you dislike about ClouDNS?** Nothing worthy of noting for dislikes. It was the best decision we ever made. High redundancy, failover alerts, and the ability to automatically failover to another IP has been a game-changer for us. Also took more pressure off of our network internally. **What do you dislike about ClouDNS?** I honestly have no complaints at this time. **Recommendations to others considering ClouDNS:** If you need public DNS, then I highly recommend ClouDNS over any other solution on the market. They still disabled my account, preventing my email from working. I tried to get support, but I couldn't login, because I couldn't authorize my IP address, because they took my email down. Told support several times before moving over that their servers were not properly responding to DNS requests. Support was very clear that it was because I hadn't updated the NS records. So I trusted them and pulled the trigger. Moved over the name server and all websites went down. Support said they had escalated the issue to 'admins' and after 24 hours of downtime and no response, we pulled the plug on the service. In short: service doesn't work and support is useless. Their premium DNS network has a great global reach which offers peace of mind and low latency response. On the few occasions where I have had to contact support, the response has been extremely quick and helpful. Lastly, their uptime guarantee is one of the best I've come across. **What do you dislike about ClouDNS?** There is very little to dislike. If I had to pick one thing it would be that I wished API access was available on all plans. **Recommendations to others considering ClouDNS:** If you need an easy to use comprehensive DNS solution, ClouDNS is the best option I've found so far. Even when compared to well-known cloud providers, ClouDNS is ahead on price and functionality. **What problems is ClouDNS solving and how is that benefiting you?** When customers bring their own Domain Name I need a way to easily manage their DNS. Most often cheap hosting providers don't offer DNS by default, so I can easily delegate these domains to ClouDNS and I have everything I need to assist them with email and website hosting. ### 48. I'm pretty familiar with how DNS works, and it's amazing how quick I can set up something new, or tweak a setting when I need to. Email forwarding is great to have right here and not through some other service. **What do you dislike about ClouDNS?** I believe there is still a free level, which is okay for just "kicking the tires" to see if the service will work for you, but I pretty quickly switched to the "Personal" level because the other was too restrictive. **What problems is ClouDNS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have a small Web site hosted on a dynamic IP address from a home provider, so I needed an inexpensive, flexible, easy to set up a DNS map to my registered host name. I used to use DynDNS, but that quickly went out the window when Oracle gobbled them up. ### 49. I also appreciate capability to export and import zone records (saves much time when transferring zones). They also support all DNS records type, allow useful tools like mail forwarding, DNSSEC and API access. Again, all that at very reasonable price. Their uptime and availability are also good, I can hardly recall an incident when domains/services were unavailable because of ClouDNS. **What do you dislike about ClouDNS?** Their DNS failover feature is strangely expensive - it's useful, but I'd rather switch to a different DNS provider in case I really need many failover records. **Recommendations to others considering ClouDNS:** When choosing proper plan, look at your zones/record needs; you can switch plan later, and starting limits are usually good already. **What problems is ClouDNS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I managed to provide stable name resolution for both personal and corporate domains, with ClouDNS. It's reliable, as far as I know I never had any DNS downtime. DNS changes propagate fast. Transferring zones into ClouDNS was quick and easy. They provide 2 factor authentication for your security. They're well oriented towards DNS, eg. they offered CAA when not many DNS providers offered it. **What do you dislike about ClouDNS?** As others said I would really like a drop down to quickly jump between my domains without having to go back to the dashboard. **Recommendations to others considering ClouDNS:** Don't hesitate, just start using it.
