I find Zight to be a super convenient screenshot tool that makes capturing desktop and webpage screenshots with annotations really straightforward. It's made screen captures and annotations so convenient and is truly a time-saving tool. I think it's the best tool of its kind. Plus, the initial setup was very easy. I've been using Zight for almost 10 years, across 3 companies. There are many things to like about it.

1. It's robust and simple to use. Captures can be done seamlessly within other workflows and copy automatically to your clipboard as a user-tunable default of link, image, or download. This makes for quick and easy captures on the fly.

2. It has excellent security features. First, it was simple to set up storage on our company servers instead of the Zight cloud, meaning that all of our captures remain under our control. This allows for capturing more sensitive information securely. Second, it's possible to set security on ANY capture to password-protect or otherwise restrict access to it.

3. The editing features are excellent for both images and videos.

4. For teams in particular, the ability to group captures into collections and to manage sharing of those collections across multiple team members is a game-changer. We used this for customer support to build a visual knowledgebase of our systems very easily and intuitively.

5. Customization of the capture url for our domain was simple.

6. On the rare occasions where we've had issues, customer support was responsive, quick, and knowledgable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only issue I've found, which is shared by every screen capture program I've tried, is that if a dropdown is open on a page it sometimes will not see it in the capture. The helpful solution is to used a delayed screenshot, which lets your cursor remain on the window with the dropdown so it's visible. But it would be lovely to find a way to solve this. With a free option that I can use every day, I can make very good-quality video clips with ease. Easy to use, the editing features are perfect for my work.

I loved it as Cloud App and it is even better now as Zight. Customer support is fantastic.

I don't have any complain in past few years with Zight Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the fact it quickly allows you to screenshot something and send an photo or animated GIF in an email (as a link - hosted in the cloud) rather than as a photo attachment. This works wonders when someone forwards your email and the photos may have disappeared.

From a desktop perspective - I love the fact I can just drag a file to the icon and it uploads it and copies the shareable link to my copy/paste.

It makes sending files up to 1gb (even zipped folders up to 1gb) super easy.

Aside from sending video instructions easily and quickly inside emails (without needing to send attachments) is sharing files between computers.

I simply drag a file from one workstation into the CloudApp - seconds later it's uploaded and available to download on my other computer. Basically it's just faster than pluggin in a USB drive - saving me time at least a few times a week.

At the moment, and for the months I've been using it, they have zero love for Android users.

There was a third party app that worked with CloudApp but they've since broken that connection and now my Samsung S7 Edge is basically useless when it comes to CloudApp.

I would LOVE to be able to record videos using my phones cameras (front or back) to send quick and easy video emails - but they just haven't developed anything (literally zero apps) for Android. It's frustrating - but their desktop support (I use it on a Macbook Air and two Windows 10 workstations)

I also want the ability to "copy content" like on a Mac - but on my Windows computers. It's useful for pasting directly into Facebook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Zight is a fantastic app that I find easy to use. On my Mac, it took a little time to figure out how to stop the recording, but once I did, everything else was simple. It's incredibly fast to finish recording and get a link to share. This makes it perfect for quick sharing and communication.

I was searching for an alternative to Loom and found Zight to be the best option. I'm so impressed that I'm upgrading to the pro version today, even before my trial ends. The extra features are worth it, and I can't wait to use them. Overall, Zight is a great tool for anyone needing quick and easy screen recording and sharing. The issue around finding the stop recording was a little bit annoying because it was a separate button up in my menu bar. I figure out how to use it, but I wish it was a little more user-friendly currently is. It might've been in a tutorial, but I jumped into this right away, cause I was excited to use it.
