## Clio Manage Reviews
 ### 1. Easy Billing, Simple Docketing, and a Helpful Client Portal

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel S. | Principal Lawyer & Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio makes it really easy for me to bill my clients and get paid. I also really like how simple it is to docket, which used to be a huge pain point for me. The client portal is especially helpful, since I absolutely hate email.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

My prior practice management had a very robust accounting software built in, and Clio doesn't have that. I have to pay for a separate accounting product, which kind of duplicates the work a little, so that's not great.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio helps me get paid. Clio helps me track my work. I think possibly the greatest asset is that it allows me to properly track my time and makes it easy to get emails in there. It does work with some other tools and has some decent, quite a big library of integrations. You can also build your own integration, so that's very helpful.

 ### 2. User-Friendly, Searchable, and a Game-Changer for Remote Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marla M. | General Manager Finance Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio has a user-friendly interface, hyperlinked data and features so that you can easily navigate through the platform's different areas.
While some other law firm CMS platforms struggle to make so much data digestible, Clio's layout and deeply-integrated search field allow you to search contacts, matters, and files to find what you need quickly.
Being cloud based has been a game changer for working remotely and often collaborating with a firm where people aren’t always physically in the same place. other, add notes, send tasks, view schedules etc. and the different log options ensure we know what has been done and when. Having all this in one place also saves a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Being cloud based has been a game changer for working remotely and often collaborating with a firm where people aren’t always physically in the same place. Though it sucks to have such easy access from vacation- because we ALL do it..lol..

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For capturing costs, tracking liens and creating Client Distribution Statements Clio has been excellent and we’ve increased our cost collections by at LEAST 15% (by not losing records/liens, etc)

 ### 3. A Game-Changer for Solo Practitioners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lcda. Kritzia M. L. | Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I love that Clio Manage has been a game changer for my practice since subscribing, allowing me to structure my case management in a sustainable way. I appreciate the integration with Clio Pay, which has elicited great responses from my clients. Streamlining communication through one hub with the Gmail add-on and keeping track of communications is a feature I find really useful. The Zoom add-on is great for meeting setups and automatically generating links. I love the ability to accurately record billable time and expenses and to keep track of bills. I also find Clio Manage so beneficial that I've hosted Zooms with other attorneys to share my positive experiences.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I need to dedicate more time to learn all the capabilities of the platform to better decide a downfall. I am aware I am not taking full advantage

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Clio Manage to streamline case management, communication, and billing. It centralizes communication, integrates with Gmail and Zoom, and simplifies tracking billable hours and expenses. Previously, manual updates on Excel were time-consuming.

 ### 4. Intuitive, Ready-to-Go Practice Management with Time-Saving Billing and Payments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie M. | Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio is intuitive, logical, and constantly improving with new features. I liked that there was an easy learning curve and that the software is ready to go immediately with very little setup required. The integrated billing and payments are a huge time saver. Clio does the work of multiple other solutions. It integrates well with Docketwise (which we need for immigration-specific tasks). It has very little downtime and the customer service is excellent, although the recent transfer to AI agents hasn't been ideal. Overall, it is an excellent value for the price.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Clio used to have excellent human customer service, and they have recently transferred to AI chat which just isn't as helpful. You can still get to a human, it just takes longer.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I started my firm, practice management software was the first thing I got. I am very glad that Clio has been an ideal solution from my initial starting phase up to growing my firm to have multiple employees. Clio keeps all our data organized. The "matter stages" feature provides a visual representation of the progress of all of our cases. It generates documents for us from templates, saving tons of time. It has also been excellent for time tracking, billing, invoicing, and collecting payments. Automated reminders and payment plans help us get paid more quickly and efficiently

 ### 5. Streamlined Firm Operations, Needs Refinement in Billing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben R. | Business Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I use Clio Manage for billing, reconciliations, scheduling, and both internal and external messaging in our accounting office. It really helps us by improving communication, document collection, and organization while simplifying and streamlining billing and invoicing. I really like Clio Payments, the client portal, and internal communications features. The client portal makes it very easy to communicate with clients, and Clio Payments ensures billing accuracy and timeliness while providing strong record keeping.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I find it frustrating that you can't mark both internal and external messages as unread. We've had trouble with processing refunds and connecting them with QBO, even after six months. The billing process could be more streamlined; having to go into each bill to charge a card and then send a receipt is a hassle since Clio doesn't have a proper receipt feature, only an invoice. It's confusing that payments still show as unpaid until they've cleared, even when a credit card has been charged. If other businesses can issue a receipt before payment clears, we should be able to do the same and see which payments have been authorized.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage improves communication, document organization, and streamlines billing. Clio Payments ensures billing accuracy and strong record-keeping, while the client portal makes client communication easy.

 ### 6. Clean UI, Smooth Integrations, and Efficient Clio for Co-Counsel

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren N. | Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

The UI is simple, organized and clean. Integrations, such as payments, are smooth. Performance would earn an A-, with the only downside being the comparably long upload time for large files. ROI = satisfactory. Haven't yet spoken with customer support , but have heard they are quick and efficient. No experience with the AI yet. Clio for co-counsel is a very nifty feature and makes sharing files extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

a) the slow upload speed for larger files; b) if you could double-click or click an edit icon next to each aspect of a matter that would help out with efficiency; c) the short period allowed to clients to set up their client portal from the e-mail once a folder is shared; d) unable to organize matters by special categories even though the data are uniform dates

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate Clio's activity/time-logging system—clean, easy, efficient, much nicer than paper or an excel spreadsheet. The ability to text clients from our firm number on the desktop computer is quite nice.

 ### 7. Organized, Fast Billing, and Seamless Outlook Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaime N. | Assistant Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I love how organized it is, and I really appreciate that it cut our billing time down from a whole day to barely two hours. It’s been a great resource for us, especially because the search works so well. I also love that I can integrate it with Outlook. The price isn’t too crazy expensive, and their support team is super responsive whenever we need help.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

You can’t save multiple emails in one go without it automatically billing for each email (and if there’s a way around that, please tell me!). Also, your reports aren’t our favorite, but they work well enough for what we need.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to use. We have a few people in the office that aren't super technology savvy, but they are able to use it without issues. We're able to see notes, communications, etc. because they are easily able to use the program.

 ### 8. Clio’s All-in-One Platform Makes Client Communication and Cloud Storage Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristi P. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I love that everything exists all in one platform. I can communicate with clients through text and email, and also set up a chat function where they can more easily share documents with me. I also find it super easy to store my client materials with easy cloud access from any device. I love the all-in-one model - I don't have to keep track of several softwares, just Clio.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I wish I could connect more than one calendar to Clio Manage. I can only connect the calendar account that associated with the gmail I used to set up my Clio account, but I have several calendars that I manage across my business, but also across my volunteer organizations. It's hard for folks to schedule meetings with me through Clio Manage because if I forget to copy an event into my consulting gmail, my Clio scheduler will show I'm av available when I'm really not. It would be nice to be able to sync multiple calendars into Clio Manage to save me some time.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File management and client communications. I can send and receive files easily, but also send my "normal" documentation to new clients such as intake forms and agreements. Clio Manage makes this very easy and allows me to more efficiently communicate with my clients without losing emails or forgetting where I saved a file. Clio Manage will back everything up for me automatically and is extremely efficient in that performance.

 ### 9. All-in-One, Easy-to-Learn Practice Management With Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda S. | Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio Manage offers everything all in one place! From our calendar to our contacts and everything in between there is no better system I have used. The ease of learning and using is unheard of! It offers a number of ways to do the same task making it easy for every type of learner to understand! It integrates fantastically with other programs like Microsoft Word of Adobe for PDFs. I love that I can literally just drag and drop items in. I can add time to be billed with one click once a document is placed in the file.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I do not like that when adding a related contact to a matter, if that contact is not already in the system you have to add later. I wish that you could just click "add contact" and it could reroute you temporarily. Sometimes I do not remember to add the new contacts before creating the matter and have to go back in.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time management. The calendar is user friendly and quickly links the matter to the date and then allows me to notify the client and remind them of said date/time. I also just love that everything for client is in one place at your fingertips whether it be current or past matters. Everything is easy to find with one quick search within Clio.

 ### 10. Clear, Informative Dashboard That Makes File Progress Easy to Track

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sammantha B. | Receptionist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I enjoy being able to look at the progress of a file, and the ability to see almost all the information that I need on their dashboard

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I wish that for clients that are existing clients that we had a way to send them intake forms through Clio Manage as well as Grow. We have some clients who are returning that have not had a recent relationship with anyone in our office, which already has a client file but we cannot send them an intake form like Grow does without adding them to grow, or adding the option to add not just an existing contact and being able to add their "Current" file to Grow would be beneficial.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They added the new feature that allows us to add additional clients, however, one thing that I would like to see if Clio Grow would be more like Clio Manage when it comes to communications since alot of our PNC's we call them - needs a phone log, email log, etc. Also, I would like to see the newest feature where you can add 11 clients but if we can have it set up for at least two clients to default. Specifically, for our estate planning married couples this would be beneficial.

 ### 11. Streamlined Billing, Needs Better Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth B. | Director of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I appreciate the extensive features that Clio Manage offers, which are incredibly useful for our firm. Their customer support was invaluable during the setup, providing guidance through a challenging migration process. I love how Clio Manage streamlines our billing process and simplifies collections, and the robust data capabilities help us in making informed decisions. I find the ease of creating matters and storing client information a highlight, and the billing process is impressively smooth.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I found the initial setup of Clio Manage to be a bit challenging. Migrating all our information to the new system took quite some time, and some of our data got corrupted during the process or didn't come through at all. Additionally, I think the onboarding and training could be improved. It would have been beneficial to have a smoother start when we first began with Clio.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find the product streamlines our billing process, making collections easier, and helps refine data for decision making.

 ### 12. Good UX/UI and Billing Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikki L. | Senior Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Good UX overall. The UI is easy to learn and navigate, and the flexible, customizable features are helpful. The billing features are also fairly easy to use. I especially like that there are a lot of different options for generating matter/billing reports.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Fixing billing issues can be a bit cumbersome. Despite the flexibility of reports, they're still not perfect and sometimes omit matters/clients that should show up on the report (e.g. pro bono matters). Integration with Clio Grow is a little clunky, as the contacts/matters have slightly different fields.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage's online billing/credit card payments is more user-friendly (and client-friendly) than other case management softwares I've used. Even clients who aren't entirely computer-savvy are able to use it. Being able to send documents securely via the client portal feature and sending documents for e-signature directly from Clio Manage is also helpful. Being a cloud-based program, its performance is generally better than desktop-based case management software.

 ### 13. Efficient Matter Management with Clio Manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrienne B. | Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

What I like best about Clio Manage is that it brings all of the core functions of a law practice into one organized platform. It allows our team to manage matters, documents, tasks, time entries, billing, and client communication in one place instead of juggling multiple systems. Having everything connected to the matter file makes it much easier to track the status of a case and quickly locate documents, emails, or notes when they are needed.

Another feature I appreciate is the automation and workflow tools. Task lists, calendar integration, and automated reminders help ensure that deadlines and follow-ups do not get missed. This is especially helpful for managing high-volume work like real estate closings or litigation matters where many small tasks must be completed in the correct order.

Finally, the cloud-based access is extremely valuable. Because Clio Manage is accessible from anywhere, our team can review files, update tasks, or communicate with clients whether we are in the office or working remotely. That flexibility makes it easier to keep matters moving forward without being tied to a single workstation.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

One thing I dislike about Clio Manage is that some workflows require more manual steps than they should. For example, certain tasks like organizing documents, updating matter details, or managing billing entries can involve navigating through multiple screens instead of being handled in a single streamlined process. This can slow things down when managing a high volume of matters.

Another drawback is that customization can be somewhat limited. While Clio offers useful features like task lists, document folders, and matter templates, it can be difficult to tailor workflows exactly to a firm’s specific processes. For firms with specialized practice areas or detailed internal procedures, it sometimes requires workarounds to get the system to function the way you want.

I also find that reporting and data exports could be more robust. While basic reports are available, pulling detailed operational or financial data often requires exporting information and manipulating it outside of the platform. More advanced built-in reporting tools would make it easier to analyze firm performance directly within the system.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage solves the problem of having case information scattered across multiple systems by centralizing matters, documents, communications, tasks, and billing in one platform. Instead of tracking emails in one place, documents in another, and deadlines on separate calendars, everything is tied directly to the matter file. This makes it much easier to locate information quickly and maintain an organized case record.

Another problem Clio Manage solves is deadline and task management. Legal work often involves many moving parts—filing deadlines, client communications, document drafting, and follow-ups. The task lists, calendar integration, and reminders help ensure that nothing falls through the cracks. This benefits our team by improving accountability and reducing the risk of missed deadlines.

Clio Manage also improves efficiency when it comes to time tracking and billing. Time entries, expenses, and invoices can all be generated directly within the system and associated with the correct matter. This helps ensure that billable work is properly recorded and invoiced, which improves financial tracking and makes the billing process much more streamlined.

Overall, the biggest benefit is organization and efficiency. By keeping matter information, communication, documents, and billing all connected in one system, Clio Manage helps the firm operate more smoothly and saves time that would otherwise be spent searching for information or managing multiple platforms

 ### 14. Essential for Solo Law Practitioners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Galen C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I find Clio Manage very helpful for keeping my law practice organized, especially since it maintains a continuous list of contacts, which is convenient when a client calls. It's great that with just a click on the client's name, I can open a new case file. It tracks all my documents in an organized format, and I can easily send trust requests, and keep track of my time and expenses on each case. I'm very happy with Clio Manage and can't imagine my solo practice surviving without it. The integration with Proof is seamless, allowing me to enter details and attach documents directly in Clio Manage. Proof can communicate with me directly with service of process updates. The initial setup was reasonably easy, with the help of customer service.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I cannot think of anything.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage keeps my law practice organized, maintains a continuous list of contacts, tracks documents, time, and expenses, and facilitates opening new case files. It's very convenient and I don't think my solo practice would have survived without it.

 ### 15. Clio Manage Streamlines Billing, Time Entry, and Document Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany N. | Billing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

As a Billing Manager, Clio Manage has been a strong asset to our firm’s daily operations. The billing functionality is straightforward and easy to navigate, which makes generating invoices and tracking payments efficient and reliable.

Time entry is especially well-designed, simple, intuitive, and quick for staff to use consistently, which helps ensure accuracy in our billing. I also appreciate how easy it is to locate documents within the system; everything is organized in a way that saves time and reduces frustration.

Overall, Clio Manage streamlines key administrative and billing processes, making it a dependable tool for legal practice management.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

One limitation I’ve encountered with Clio Manage is the lack of in-line editing. Having to open separate windows or navigate away to make small changes can slow down workflow, especially when reviewing or adjusting multiple time entries or billing items. Streamlining this with in-line editing would make the platform even more efficient and user-friendly.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage solves several key challenges around organization, billing accuracy, and time tracking within a legal practice. Before using it, managing time entries, invoices, and documents across multiple systems or manual processes could be time-consuming and prone to errors.

With Clio Manage, everything is centralized. Time tracking is consistent and easy for staff to use, which improves billing accuracy and ensures fewer missed billable hours. The streamlined billing process saves time when generating invoices and tracking payments, allowing us to stay on top of accounts receivable more efficiently.

Additionally, having documents and matter details organized in one place reduces the time spent searching for information and improves overall workflow. This ultimately increases productivity, supports better financial management, and allows us to focus more on client service rather than administrative tasks.

 ### 16. Reliable, Intuitive Platform That Centralizes My Solo Practice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian F. | Attorney (Principal and Founder), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio Manage is a reliable and easy to use platform for running my firm. As a solo practitioner, I use Clio to centralize the majority of the work I do, including creating and maintaining client matters, timekeeping, billing, and document management. It helps organize everything to allow work to get done more efficiently. Prior to implementing Clio Manage, I had files stored in Google Workspace, manually recorded communications, billing and accounting in a separate platform, etc. The system is intuitive enough for daily use while still offering sufficient depth for more complex workflows.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I have found there to be customization constraints, which would be expected in all platforms/software tools. I also wish it integrated with Google Voice and other phone/messaging apps to track and bill time for calls/messages sent and received.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps firms/attorneys to save money. It keep documents and files organized. It streamlines workflows and integrates well with many different 3rd party programs.

 ### 17. User-Friendly, Customizable Platform You Can Rely On

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley C. | Human Resources Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

The most helpful aspect of Clio Manage is its user-friendly and well-organized platform. Navigating the various dashboards and tabs is intuitive, allowing users to move through the system with ease and confidence. Clio also provides the flexibility to customize each matter to suit your specific needs. I would highly recommend Clio to anyone in the legal field seeking a system they can rely on and grow with over time.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

There aren’t many downfalls to Clio Manage, but one issue I’ve run into a couple of times is that I can’t link email responses from correspondence that happens outside of our office into the Correspondence tab, even when the sender CCs the maildrop email address.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Law firms juggle tons of deadlines, documents, and to-do lists across multiple cases. Clio centralizes everything (tasks, documents, deadlines) in one system and provides visibility into what’s due, overdue, and completed. It helps prevents things from “falling through the cracks”

 ### 18. Easy to Use, Time-Saving Billing and Workflows in Clio Manage

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward M. | Managing Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio Manage is very easy to use, and it was also easy to import information from my prior systems as well as other non-legal systems like Outlook. I also appreciate the payment options available for my clients.

It has very easy to use workflows, especially with billing. It has significnatly cut down on the amount of time I spent on billing each month.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

While there are some aspects of Clio Manage that could be easier—its settings are difficult to navigate, and importing/exporting data can be hard—my biggest critique is that it doesn’t integrate with all of the third-party systems I use at my firm. Specifically, I wish there were a way for it to integrate with my website provider so I could build my email campaigns more effectively, and also integrate better with my third-party calendar applications.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio has made my monthly billing and collections much easier. I’ve significantly reduced the amount of time I spend on billing compared with what I was doing previously.

 ### 19. Intuitive Search, Constantly Evolving Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew W. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I love how Clio Manage efficiently organizes clients, matters, and contact information. It also offers helpful tools like integrated e-sign, client portal, and text message options. I appreciate how it integrates with other third-party apps. The search field is very intuitive and lets me search across all contacts, matters, and files. It helps me find a specific file quickly or track down past matters involving the same judge, counsel, or insurance company. I also like that Clio is always evolving its interface and adding features, making it a living program. The initial setup for my team was easy.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I suggest Clio should continue to add features to the Personal Injury module. I would like insurance company and claim information fields pre-built.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps us efficiently organize clients and cases, search correlated data easily, and offers tools like integrated e-sign and client portal. Its intuitive search field saves time finding specific files or past cases with the same judge or counsel.

 ### 20. The BEST Legal Practice Software.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela R. | Founder, Principal Lawyer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

As someone who uses Clio Manage every day, I’ve been genuinely impressed by how effortlessly it fits into my practice. One of the features that stands out most to me is Clio’s broad third-party integrations. This level of flexibility allows me to tailor my workflow and connect Clio with the tools I already depend on, so I’m not restricted by a one-size-fits-all system.

I also really appreciate the integration with my virtual answering service. Whenever a potential client calls, their information is automatically entered into Clio by the service. This automation not only saves me time but also helps with conflict management and ensures that new leads are promptly tracked in the system.

Overall, Clio Manage has made my client intake, payment collections, and case management much more efficient and client-centered. I would recommend it to any legal professional seeking a user-friendly solution.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Clio often takes a long time to introduce new services to Canadian users, which I find quite frustrating. Once Clio Accounting finally comes to Canada, it will truly be a one-stop shop.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage enables me to work remotely, which is especially helpful when I am in court and need to access my files.

 ### 21. Efficient Legal Practice Management with Minor Quirks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I find Clio Manage to be a thousand times more organized and user-friendly than previously used systems like QuickBooks. I love that everything is in one place and accessible anywhere. Some of my favorite features include connecting matters to calendar events, sending appointment reminders to clients, and automatic billing reminders. These features help us complete tasks faster, maximizing our efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I wish you could still edit the content of an invoice after a client has made a full or partial payment. There have been times there was a description error on the invoice, but the client paid it before we caught it. Once there is a payment, you cannot edit, therefore we could never correct the error. We use it along with QuickBooks, and the integration is not the best.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage is a thousand times more organized and user-friendly than QuickBooks, with everything in one place and accessible anywhere. Features like calendar integration, appointment reminders, and automatic billing boost efficiency by speeding up tasks.

 ### 22. Clio Manage’s Smart Action Suggestions Save Me Tons of Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lianet S. | Head of Culture, Marketing & PR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio Manage is always one step ahead and I love that it suggests actions for you. From a matter update to extracting dates and calendaring. This saves me so much time! it's easy to chat with, allows you to correct it but it also learns from your behavior which minimizes the model training.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

It doesn't recognize whether the file labeled as PDF is not a PDF because its an image saved over and over. So it has you guessing as to why you cannot extract the exact dates fir what you're looking for.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage is solving the human oversight in alot of our matters. whether it's a deadline, running through multiple documents and allowing us to interact in real time but mainly we struggled alot with calendaring and this feature solved about 82% of the issues.

 ### 23. Run Your Law Firm from Anywhere with Clio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcie P. | Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

With Clio, I’m able to run my law firm from anywhere in the world. I can easily access file information and keep track of communications in one place. My clients also appreciate being able to upload documents and chat with me whenever it’s convenient for them, whether they’re using the Text tool or the Portal tool.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I wish the AI feature weren’t an extra expense. I’d really like to try it out, but 14 days just isn’t enough time for me to decide whether it’s worth it or not.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage has helped me stay on top of my work while welcoming a new baby and navigating other changes in my life. It’s been a reliable way for me to keep everything organized and up to date during a busy transition.

 ### 24. Clio Manage: A One-Stop Shop for Case Data, Documents, and Easy Email Billing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** cory@dietrichkenyon.com F. | Senior Paralegal Infrastructure Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio Manage is a one-stop shop for all of our case data. My firm handles bankruptcy only, and the volume of documents we need from clients is enormous. Clio Manage makes it easy to save and organize documents in a format that’s customizable to what we need for each case. I also love the Outlook Add-in—it makes billing for emails and saving them a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I find it frustrating that the Outlook Add-in crashes often, and that Clio Drive sometimes disappears from File Explorer.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage has solved our billing issue. When we used a separate program to bill our time while managing our documents elsewhere, billing steps were sometimes skipped. With Clio, it’s easy to add billing as we go, so our billables have increased without us having to do any extra work.

 ### 25. Effortless Billing with Comprehensive PDF Export Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I find everything with Clio Manage is relatively easy to use. The files export to PDF, and since I know how to edit PDFs pretty well, it makes things easy for me to create customized bills while still having a streamlined and structured process.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

There are a couple of areas where the software could use further development. It would be nice to have exports to Word or a better interface with respect to the templates offered. There aren't too many templates that allow for much variability. Also, the matter we number system is a bit tedious to use, and there is no easy way to bill multiple clients splitting costs on one matter easily.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps me bill clients timely, manage revenue, and gives a bird's eye view of bills. It's easy to use, exports files to PDF, and lets me create custom bills efficiently while maintaining a standardized process.

 ### 26. Cloud-Based Accessibility with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like that Clio Manage is cloud-based, as it's easily accessible online regardless of location, which allows me to serve my modern client base effectively. The free Clio for Clients app and online portal is also great because it helps streamline client communication, updates on matter progress, the billing and payment process, and secure file sharing. The new conflict checking system is a welcomed addition and it works very well. The QBO integration is great for my accountant and bookkeeper since it allows them to keep the book and taxes current without access to the sensitive information in Clio.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

The Clio for Lawyers app could be improved. Its features are limited, so I have to use my laptop to do anything meaningful. I also wish the document management system and the Gmail app integration worked better. The Gmail connectivity is slow and the email-linking process is manual so it's time-consuming to save emails and attachments to matters in Clio. This process should be automated once a matter is connected to an email file in Gmail. As a Canadian practice, Clio is competitive with similar products in the market, but the recent price increase is difficult to justify since many of Clio's products aren't available to Canadian customers.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Clio Manage for billing, trust account reconciliation, time tracking, conflict checks, and it solves document management and file organization issues. Being cloud-based, it is easily accessible online, helping me serve my modern client base.

 ### 27. Streamlined Billing and Payments, but Reporting and Custom Reports Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fallon P. | Travel Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio allows us to streamline a lot of the communications process, whether it is trust account replenishments, billing, or past due reminders. We are also able to receive payments through clio pay that will automatically apply payments to bills when payments come in.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Clio has a lot to offer, but some of the down sides of Clio are their reporting features. They are not detailed enough and the ones that they do have, don't have the data you actually need. Their custom reports ssection, with is in their beta testing right now, is too confusing and doesn't always allow you to pick and choose what you actually want to see.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not sure exactly what it is really solving. That's a weird question.

 ### 28. A Comprehensive Tool for Law Firms with Room for Billing Improvements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg N. | Attorney At Law, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I am very glad I chose Clio Manage over some competitors. I appreciate how Clio Manage synchronizes with Clio Grow, Clio Works, and Clio Draft, making it a single platform for dealing with intake and managing clients. The integration of billing functions, management of communications and emails through Clio, and its comprehensive system are features I like. The AI functions have been surprisingly good compared to others. Overall, it's been very helpful for my operations, and I find it more beneficial the more I use it. I would highly recommend Clio Manage to any other startup law firm, especially considering the reasonable price.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I would say the Clio Manage billing is not always very intuitive. It seems like it could use some video functionality or just some ways to make it a little more user-friendly. I can't say I'm the best accountant, but it just doesn't seem very intuitive. And I think that's one of the hardest parts of using any accounting system. That's not just a criticism of Clio Manage's billing functions, but in general, I find billing to be difficult. The initial setup was very difficult. It's just overwhelming how complex of a program it is. It's got a huge learning curve.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage gives me a single platform to handle intake, client management, and billing. It's a comprehensive system that synchronizes with Clio Grow, Clio Works, and Clio Draft, making it easier to manage communications and emails, which I find very helpful.

 ### 29. Streamlined Case Management with Wide Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** brooklynn b. | Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like the wide range of features that Clio Manage has. It's nice having most of my case management stuff in one location, so I don’t have to dig for a physical file and flip through paperwork. The initial setup was very easy, and I appreciate how straightforward everything is.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I think on the communications tab, there should be entries for every way that you may have contact with a client. Phone call, text, email, in person meeting, etc. I would just like to see it simplified into maybe fewer tabs.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps me find documents associated with cases quickly. I like having most of my case management in one location, which eliminates searching through physical files and paperwork.

 ### 30. Straightforward Yet Clunky with Categorization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pat M. | Law Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like that Clio Manage is just pretty straightforward. It helps us organize our work, including documenting phone calls and emails. This helps us keep track of our workflow and understand which tasks have been completed and which are outstanding. I find it useful for maintaining our documentation as we prepare for litigation. Setting it up was fairly easy, and we could start a new client matter and begin right away.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

It can get a little clunky and duplicative when it comes to the categories that Clio Manage has. For example, using correspondence or documentation are almost the same categories or one is a subpart of the other, which makes it difficult to decide how to actually sort your work. Also, some of the naming conventions or categories are a little duplicate and can be confusing with different members on the team having different interpretations.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps me keep our clients and matters organized, exchange information and documents easily, track workflow, and maintain documentation for litigation.

 ### 31. Centralized, Easy-to-Use with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I use Clio Manage to handle all of my matters, deadlines, and docketing, providing a single place for all the information I need. I find Clio Manage offers a centralized location to store all information about a case, and it allows for easy access to documents if utilized well. I appreciate that it's cloud-based with very low technical requirements, whether you're the owner of a law firm or a user; you just log in, and everything is readily available. We keep track of matter details, dates, deadlines, notes, and communications effortlessly. One of the things I like most is the ease of use; it's really easy to set up a new matter and handle stuff. The task feature for deadlines is essential, and I value having all the details of a case or client in a single place.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Even though the tasks are pretty much the main thing we use, it still could use a better overhaul. There is an internal messaging system, but it's not good. We still need to use Slack or recently switched to ClickUp, a Slack alternative, for internal communications, and it would be great if they could somehow really combine a similar feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Clio Manage:**

Test all options and find the one that fits your needs best.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Clio Manage to keep all case information centralized, manage deadlines, and easily access documents. It's cloud-based with low technical requirements, allowing easy setup and access from anywhere, keeping track of dates, notes, and communications.

 ### 32. You wont regret trying out Clio!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan P. | Law Clerk, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

The best part about Clio manage is that it has been so simple to use. Our office was able to get up and runniung very quickly, the customer support is amazing. The team at Clio continues to come out with helpful integrations, including their new AI assistant. The build in billing has been amazing and has really improved our internal processes.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

One thing I would love to see Clio add is the ability to write cheques in the program rather than having to do it in an external program.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most other programs just dont do what we need them to. The integrations have been a huge value add for our firm

 ### 33. Centralizes Case Management with Flexible Workflows and Seamless Clio Draft Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio Manage’s greatest strength is its ability to centralize all aspects of a file in one place while remaining flexible enough to adapt to different practice areas. The matter-centric structure allows our team to manage contacts, documents, communications, deadlines, and billing within a single system, which significantly reduces fragmentation and improves efficiency.

In particular, the custom fields and integration with Clio Draft stand out. They allow us to standardize data collection and reuse that data to automate documents, which improves accuracy and reduces repetitive work. The ability to tailor the system to our workflows, rather than forcing a rigid structure, makes it highly scalable as the firm grows.

Additionally, the ease of access, clean interface, and cloud-based functionality make it practical for day-to-day use across the entire team.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

One limitation with Clio Manage is the lack of efficient bulk management tools for matters. Tasks such as archiving, updating, or cleaning up large volumes of older files can be time-consuming, as there is limited ability to perform mass actions across multiple matters at once. This creates friction when trying to maintain a clean and organized system, particularly as the number of files grows.

Additionally, managing legacy data can be challenging. Older matters may not align with updated workflows or custom field structures, and there is no streamlined way to retrofit or standardize those files in bulk. As a result, ongoing system optimization requires manual effort that could be improved with more robust administrative and bulk-editing capabilities.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage solves the problem of fragmented file management by centralizing all matter-related information in one place. Instead of relying on separate systems for documents, contacts, emails, and notes, everything is organized within a single matter dashboard. This improves consistency and reduces the risk of missing key information.

It also enhances document management by providing a structured, searchable repository for all files, which makes it easier to locate documents quickly and maintain version control. This is particularly beneficial in litigation, where access to the correct and most up-to-date document is critical.

Overall, the centralization and organization provided by Clio Manage improves efficiency, reduces administrative overhead, and allows the team to focus more on substantive legal work rather than file management.

 ### 34. This is an honest review limited to time and space constraints

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Willow M. | Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Being able to update tasks and notes quickly and then being able to search within the notes and tasks for key words so that I can locate the information I need without delay.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

It would be helpful if we could put pdf/word docs in calendar events. For example, our local courts issue a notice of hearing which has the date, place, time, and if applicable, call in information for a hearing. It would be nice to put that document in the calendar event.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have seen nothing. They are constantly making changes and upgrades, but it appears they are fixing things that don't need to be fixed - at least from my perspective.

 ### 35. Good All-round Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I appreciate how Clio Manage helps us centralize and keep track of information relating to files. I find the financial management side very helpful, especially the straightforward and efficient trust request through billing process. The pieces of Clio Manage that work best for us are definitely the financial side. When we open files, sending trust requests creates a 'bill' for the retainer that gets tracked within Clio. The matter dashboard is great for tracking whether the retainer is in, and how much remains in trust. Clio Manage also has decent time-tracking tools which generate helpful data like WIP on a file, all in one place. Additionally, the initial setup of Clio Manage was pretty easy, and support is excellent. I would say that while on a function by function basis there is probably a better tool for each discrete thing that Clio does, Clio does all of those things well enough, and the convenience of having everything together in one package massively outweighs the hassle of assembling a stack of separate tools and then trying to manage the integrations and complexities.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

There are a few things that Clio Manage could improve. The email integration is not bad, but it lacks a predictive element, meaning even if I have emailed the same person on a matter multiple times in a day, I still have to fill in matter information when I go to store an email to or from them in Clio. It's also difficult to search for keywords within the emails stored in Clio, making it easier to look in my email client instead. Additionally, there are some UI things that bug me also. In particular some of the fields for recording information (like Notes) are needlessly small, so you can only see a couple of lines at a time. Finally, the integrations can be a bit frustrating; there's often a persistent bug that makes them more effort to use than they're worth.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps us centralize and track information related to files, making file management and financial management straightforward and efficient. The time-tracking tools provide useful data all in one place, which helps us manage retainers and trust efficiently.

 ### 36. Reliable Immigration Firm Tool with Growth Potential

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gustavo C. | Attorney / owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like Clio Manage for its constant evolution and the addition of new tools and products. The platform is reliable. As Clio has expanded, I've adopted more of their tools into my practice, like Clio Grow, Clio Work, and Clio Draft. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Integrating Clio Manage and Clio Grow into one platform would be a huge improvement since currently a lot of the tools offered by Clio Grow are not available in Clio Manage and vice versa. This forces users to toggle back and forth and figure out which platform to use for different tasks. I also want a customizable dashboard where important information, internal notes, and other useful details can be posted on the landing page or dashboard for each matter. I use Trello to supplement Clio Manage due to the lack of customization needed to display information that helps manage cases internally.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps with billing, case management, client communication, and integrates with Gmail, calendar, Google Drive, and phone systems.

 ### 37. Intuitive and Centralized Case Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tayane O. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like the built-in time management systems in Clio Manage. I love the dashboard because it's very easy to use. Most things are very self-explanatory and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Workflows have been particularly difficult to use. Another thing is just having emails directly connecting. I've connected my Gmail with the Gmail add-on with Clio, but I'm not really sure how to use it. It's just been difficult to find the time to learn everything and fully integrate it. I'm also very interested in the add ons because they seem powerful, but they are priced on the higher side for small firms such as mine. It would also be helpful if pricing were more transparent upfront instead of requiring a call to get details. I was unhappy about my Clio Work free trial, as I signed up for it, but didn't have the opportunity to use it at all during the two weeks I had available. I tried to speak with Clio about getting another shot at the free trial, but they said they couldn't do it.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps me keep track of clients, client billing, emails, and communications, consolidating everything I need to manage cases in one place.

 ### 38. Streamlined Document Management, Highly Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christa B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like Clio Manage because I can keep everything in one place, and it is very organized, which allows everyone at the firm to more easily do their job. It allows us to easily share documents across the firm, makes it easy to track time especially with the timer, keeps up with time for billing, allows us to keep track of invoices, and keeps all of a client's matters together under their contact. No matter where I am working from, I can log into Clio and access all of the documents and I can keep all of a client's information in one place.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I can't think of anything personally, but I've heard from others in the firm that they would like a more integrated accounting system.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage lets us easily share documents firm-wide, track time with its timer, keep tabs on invoices, and organize client matters under their contact, all in one place. It's very organized and accessible from anywhere, helping everyone do their job more easily.

 ### 39. Effortless Navigation, Exceptional for Law Firms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth C. | Support Staff, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I work for a law firm, and we use Clio Manage to store our files and keep track of our billing. I like that Clio Manage is easy to navigate through and keeps good track of billing. I also enjoy the way documents are easily accessible.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Very rarely, if I am on a matter and I try to look through a different matter, the new matter will show the previous documents of the first matter I was on. It gets confusing because I don't notice it right away.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Clio Manage to store files and keep track of what goes where effectively. It's easy to navigate and makes documents easily accessible.

 ### 40. Simplicity and Efficiency with Clio Manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yael N. | Of Counsel, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like Clio Manage because it's simple, web-based, and easy to use. I appreciate that it keeps everything in one place and helps us all keep track of things. The matter management tools are great for keeping the firm organized and maintaining all case information in one place, reducing the risk of missed deadlines or documents. The timekeeping tools ensure accurate billing, support fee petitions and lodestar submissions, and allow us to track productivity and workload. These tools create transparency for compensation and bonus calculations, improve efficiency, and reduce administrative friction. They also protect the firm during audits, disputes, or court reviews and support long-term growth and accountability. Overall, it's a great internal case and customer management system for timekeeping, billing, and task management.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I wish there were more options to customize our Clio Manage.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage centralizes our case information, improves efficiency by reducing missed deadlines, and supports accuracy in billing and workload tracking. It creates transparency for compensation and helps protect the firm during audits, supporting long-term growth.

 ### 41. Comprehensive Legal Tool with Stellar Calendaring, Needs Document Storage Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason E. | Senior Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like the calendaring aspect of Clio Manage because of the court rules that we can choose. We can even drill down and choose a specific judge in federal court for their local rules, which is really handy. For our state court stuff, it goes by county, and that's absolutely perfect. It gives us the ability to catch all of the deadlines for any given court.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

The document storage could definitely be improved. The Clio Drive is a little bit clunky. It's not very intuitive, and I've tried connecting Microsoft OneDrive to Clio, but it doesn't give us exactly what we need. It's an aspect of Clio that I won't use because it is just not where it's supposed to be. Just yet.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage solves our client communication problems. The client portal makes it easy to communicate with clients at any time, solving a huge problem for us.

 ### 42. An Indispensable All-in-One Platform for Legal Practices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karina M. | Receptionist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I use Clio Manage for all of our client matters, and I find the client portal so helpful, especially with sensitive information. It feels like a must-use for us rather than emailing and texting clients. I love the calendar feature as it keeps our firm on the same page, while tasks have made organizing work so much easier by connecting directly to the client's matter. Clio Manage is easy to use and serves as an all-in-one platform, allowing me to keep track of time, to-do lists, messages, and mark important events on the calendar. I don't need separate systems like Outlook or Teams because everything is accessible in one place with Clio Manage. The initial setup was also quite easy, thanks to the help I received and the webinars that help me stay updated.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I would like to better understand the client portal, it would be great if we could schedule zoom calls with the client & have them be through the portal.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage centralizes client matters, simplifies communication with its portal, and streamlines task and time management. It's essential for document sharing, tracking expenses, and coordinating schedules, making my workflow efficient without needing multiple tools.

 ### 43. Streamlined Firm Operations with Clio Manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan C. | Attorney/Cultural Ambassador, Law Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2016

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I love the automations in Clio Manage that save me tons and tons of time. They save me time such that Clio pays for itself. I also love its intuitive nature, which makes it extremely easy for me to teach new employees. The setup was really easy, and their onboarding team was incredible to work with. Clio is completely essential for running the back end of my entire firm and ensuring we have access to information everywhere. It solves the problem of access to information for our staff, attorneys, and clients and streamlines and automates processes for us. We were able to reduce our communication with clients by automatically sending them information based on the status of their case. I also use Clio Manage with a lot of other tools including vLex/Vincent AI, Case Status, and Zapier. Clio is a much better tool than what we previously used, Time Matters, and I consider it the best tool out there.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I have a lot of older and blue-collar clients. Some of them struggle with the client-facing side of Clio Manage. It would be nice if the client-facing tools were easier to use and could be branded with our firm's branding.

**Recommendations to others considering Clio Manage:**

Test it out. I bet you'll like it.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage runs my firm's backend, providing access to information everywhere, streamlining and automating processes, saving time with intuitive tools. It reduces client communication by automatically updating them on their case status.

 ### 44. Client Portal Messaging Keeps Communication and File Sharing in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caterina S. | Associate Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

The client portal messaging feature is a great way to keep all communications in one place, and gives our clients an easy way to share large files/documents with our team.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I wish there was a way to duplicate activities in bulk. For instance, I have a weekly meeting with my paralegal to go over the status of all my matters. When we track our time for those meetings, it would be a massive time saver if one of us could track our time by adding an activity for each matter we discussed, and then the other could "select all", "duplicate", and revise the activity descriptions accordingly.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using a single platform to manage every aspect of a client matter saves us time, money, and resources. The platform is constantly evolving to include additional features, which has allowed our firm to discontinue using separate platforms to perform different tasks such as billing, document exchange, communication, etc.

 ### 45. Essential for Task Management, but Needs Calendar Improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | Family Law Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I love the task feature of Clio Manage because it helps us stay organized, see deadlines at a high level, and keep us on track. It allows us to quickly review each other's task lists to understand capacity, see what is needed if someone is out of the office, and keeps us organized by showing tasks by case.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

There are quite a few. Firstly, the calendar system could be much better. It doesn't come up with a pop-up if there is double-booking, we can't have specific conference rooms to book and we can't bulk-delete. For documents, it would be nice if there was a way to preview documents without opening it, and the report function often seems to not work or not work the way we want. I wish the user permissions was more customizable but we can't just turn off certain things without other things being effected.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage keeps everything organized in one spot, making it easy to track case activities. We love the task feature for staying organized, tracking deadlines, reviewing each other's capacity, and organizing tasks by case.

 ### 46. Revolutionized Our Legal Practice Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katy C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I really appreciate Clio Manage for its ability to let us collaborate on projects and keep all of our case information together, even when working remotely. It's particularly great because I can work alongside my legal assistant and paralegal effortlessly. The app's accessibility on my phone in addition to my laptop and office desktop is something I like a lot—it makes things easy. Having the capability to look up client information in real time, even when I'm out of the office, is incredibly useful. I also value that I can print documents from different locations. Plus, it's fantastic for clients because we can automate so much, which truly helps a lot. One thing I like most is that Clio Manage has been steadily improving over time, often adding features we request, like streamlining and making things more automated, which they have been actively working on.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Building out some of the custom fields was the most challenging part.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage makes collaboration on projects and file management simple, enabling remote work and coordination with my team. It automates tasks, which benefits clients, and allows real-time access to client information from any device, enhancing productivity and responsiveness.

 ### 47. Streamlined Billing, Needs Better Feature Updates

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlin N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I use Clio Manage to manage the law firm's clients and billing, and I appreciate how it made our billing process easier. I like the billing function, especially the automation of being able to directly send invoices to clients. Being able to search for client-related records adds to the ease of use. The initial setup of Clio Manage was fairly easy once we were able to map features.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I'm disappointed that feature requests never seem to go anywhere. I believe we've been with Clio for approximately 7 years and not a single feature improvement I've requested has been addressed. Regarding Client portals, it would be ideal if we could choose the matters included in the portal. Currently a client portal is for a singular matter, which is ineffective when a client has multiple matters and we need to communicate with the same people for all matters, and not just one. We eliminated the O365 integration because it was causing issues on the outlook side. It was helpful to be able to log emails in Clio etc. but the integration was glitchy. It feels like Clio prioritized expanding into new features rather than addressing the issues that needed fine tuning- so profit first-.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Clio Manage to manage our law firm's clients and billing. It makes our billing process easier and automates sending invoices to clients. Searching for client-related records is easy, improving usability.

 ### 48. Clio Manage Keeps Everything Organized and Efficient in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

What I like best about Clio Manage is how it keeps everything organized in one place. It makes it easy to track deadlines, manage documents, and communicate with clients without having to switch between multiple platforms. Having all case information tied to each matter helps me stay efficient and ensures nothing gets overlooked.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

What I dislike about Clio Manage is that some features can take a little time to get used to, and certain tasks, like navigating between matters or generating documents, could be more streamlined. Additionally, having more flexibility with customization, especially for reports and workflows, would make it even more efficient for our needs.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage helps solve the challenge of keeping case information, deadlines, documents, and client communication organized in one centralized platform. This reduces the risk of missed deadlines or misplaced information and makes it easier to manage multiple matters at once. It benefits me by improving efficiency, saving time, and allowing me to stay on top of my work while providing better, more organized service to clients.

 ### 49. Powerful and User-Friendly, But Setup Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I like that Clio Manage is easy to use but still powerful. It's very easy to learn the basics of navigation and input, and new employees can be trained on the platform quickly. The platform is powerful enough to handle the needs of the decision makers, allowing our business manager and executive team to run custom scripts, reports, and automations. It's great that the platform can accommodate both the needs of staff attorneys for task management and the demands of the management team for custom scripts and automated workflows. It's amazing that one platform is so user-friendly yet capable of handling complex needs.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

It can be slow. It keeps asking if I want to use AI, and the prompts are intrusive. The matter categories, matter stages tracking thing is cumbersome and requires weekly meetings to maintain. The fact that I know there is data on the platform that I can't get put onto a report, how hard is it to make a report that shows me all open matters, the last activity input, the date of the last activity, the last bill date, the trust balance, the matter balance. I can get all that info in Manage - last activity isn't available and last activity date is wonky as hell as you have to put in a date range - last... the range is last! The initial setup was terrible and took months to clean up the data migration.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Clio Manage centrally organizes our information on a cloud platform, making it accessible from anywhere. It simplifies time tracking and billing. It's easy for new employees to learn, yet powerful for our management to automate tasks and generate reports.

 ### 50. Versatile Tool with Seamless Client Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bianca L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I find Clio Manage to be a great tool for all practice areas, which helps us stay organized and allows us to assess matters within minutes. I particularly appreciate the ability to communicate with clients via client portals and the seamless document management it provides, especially for estate administration and Medicaid files. The initial setup was great as well, with a team assisting us in integrating it.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I think there could be a better way to link Clio Grow prospective clients to our billing in Clio Manage without creating a matter in Manage. Right now, if we don't convert a Grow file into a client matter, it creates a new file folder when they come into the office.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Clio Manage to stay organized and assess matters quickly. It provides seamless document management, especially for estate administration and Medicaid files. The client portals enhance communication with clients.
