What problems is Clear Impact Scorecard solving and how is that benefiting you?

we use the system to evaluate the effectiveness of programs we fund; we have justified expanding staff and programming when programs have good results but not enough capacity, and we have de-funded programs that aren't effective and redirected those funds to programs that show positive outcomes. From there, we began evaluating the effectiveness of programs and services on a population level - with our focus on whether or not the programs we are providing are having a positive effect on the population of the county (vs just asking if the programs are showing good outcomes --- they could be good programs, just not the ones that are truly needed to make change in the community) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Clear Impact Scorecard?

We have been using Clear Impact Scorecard since 2010 and this tool has been valuable way to track program and community outcomes. This is a very easy tool to manage and the company has been very responsive to our needs as we have used the tool over the last 10 years. What do you dislike about Clear Impact Scorecard?

Printing the reports have been a challenge. We use the narrative sections in Scorecard for our grantees respond to particular questions. Users have control over the size of the font and can create issues where it is difficult to read pdf of reports. Consistency of font size in the Scorecard and how it prints as a pdf can be challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Clear Impact Scorecard solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using Clear Impact Scorecard to track community outcomes in areas around Education, Income, Health. We are using the tool to track whether our community indicators are changing due to investments into the community. We have seen some significant changes in our High School graduation rate. When we first started tracking this measure, our largest school district in the state was at 69% and it is now around 88%. But by looking at the data we were able to develop strategies that could help to turn the curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They offer a fully functional free version that never expires - we used this for over a year when we were first getting started to make sure it would work well for us and get buy in to purchase. What do you like best about Clear Impact Scorecard?

Ability to embed cards, easy to navigate the score cards. Customizable. Ease of use, ability to learn the software on the fly. Great customer service. Reasonable pricing for a local health department. We track our CHIP and strategic plan in the software, in addition to sharing public health scorecards on our website. The online software is easy to use and has a lot of templates to walk you through setting up performance measures using results based accountability. Data entry into the system is straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes, it can be slow to get to the measure you are looking for. Also, if there are a lot of measures, it may be hard to find in the long list of measures. There may be overlapping measures for multiple plans and this can cause confusion; for instance, someone else's measure may end up on the list for my plan because they are linked strategically.
