It cuts your modeling time in half. It's georeferenced, works well with CAD and GIS. Has alot of public information already so you don't have to go to a bunch of different sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you build a large model with a lot of nodes and connections the software will tend to bog down and refresh times take a while. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite things about GeoHECHMS are how user friendly the software is. In addition, the ease of training and information available online makes it very easy to find any solutions. Customer support is always incredibly helpful and responsive with helping me if a problem arises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes large files get very slow to open and I wish there was a way to consolidate files to make them easier to open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the things I like about GeoHECRAS is the customer service and the effort put into tutorials online. When stuck using other software applications, you have to search on YouTube and suffer for multiple hours before something miraculously works. With GeoHECRAS, they have an online user manual which I've used multiple times and made my workflow easy. They also have beginner tutorials that get you going from the start. This is my first time learning the software, but in a matter of weeks, I understand it more than other applications I have used for years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be nice to change cross section elevations through multiple cross-sections at the click of a button. It is probably possible, but I don't know how to do it yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like being able to insert Civil3D files for the cross sections to be able to gain their elevation points that way. The versitility of being able to implement various forms of information in the event of not having access to one or the other is what makes this great for me! I havent found anything that I have disliked while using this software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Terrain creation from the surveyed data. You can visually see what the terrain looks like in 3D, and you can get fairly good cross-sections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the program is slow and crashes without saving the work that has been done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using GeoHECRAS on various Flood Studies. I like the various tools that helps to save time. Instead of going back and forth you can simply use different menu items and progress through your project with ease. It is simple to use with the interface. Moreover, the integration with various software is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing as such. There are a few bug here and there but generally it postive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate the clean intuitive interface that is presented in the GeoHECRAS program. The menus options keep projects well organized which make navigation easy. Additonally, the compatibility with files types makes projects run smooth. I dont have to worry about converting files into specific formats to fit the software. The versatility has streamlined workflow and saved time and frustration. The customer and software support is unmatched. Would recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
May be a company network issue, but some files have been dropped if working off a server located out of office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program is very simple and straight forward to use. Our company enjoys the integrated databases from different agencies and the automatized delineation of watersheds, sub-basins, reaches, and time of concentration that save us time. We have appreciated CivilGeo's customer support and willingness to teach us how to use the software in more efficient ways. They truly are available around the clock to support us with out needs. I believe that the modification or addition of sub-basin shapes should be easier to work with and be similar to how GeoHECRAS allows creating new polygons by filling the space between your drawn polyline and the intersecting existing polygon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to integrate an AutoCAD file makes bridge hydraulic modeling much quicker and easier to visualize. Detailed elevation terrain surfaces can easily be created by merging Lidar with surveyed surfaces. Cross sections can quickly and easily be created and edited. Technical support is very helpful. Adding a haunched lower chord takes some time, would be beneficial if the bridge opening builder could automate a parabolic haunch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
