GeoHECRAS makes HECRAS much easier to use. The data entry can be automatically popuplated via importing from AutoCAD. The tech support is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not much to not like about GeoHECRAS. Some data entry (editing) is a little awkward, but much better than straight HECRAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was helpful to be able to retreieve information such as curve number, time of concentration, wastershed/subbasin areas, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was a pretty big learning curve, and I as unsure if I was doing things accuratley. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Program not able to create a Report for 2-D Models Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using GeoHECRAS is straightforward thanks to its user-friendly interface. I can create a working model within a few hours, significantly increasing productivity. GeoHECRAS makes it easy to create reaches, cross sections, and assign Mannings coefficients, bank station, etc. Also the ability to modify one scenario and copy those modifications to another scenario makes it easy to implement changes. Further, the customer service is excellent, they are quick to assist with any issues that I had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't find anything that I dislike about this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support staff was very helpful in setting up a project and working through issues. The software makes using HEC-RAS more streamlined with C3D and saves time. I have used HEC-RAS by itself, and GeoHECRAS saves time, especialy on large projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECRAS is a helpful software, but just like anything in Engineering, you still need to understand the fundamentals to do the analysis and design. GeoHECRAS is an extremely helpful tool, but it does not substitute understanding fundamental concepts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECHMS does a good job of streamlining the process of gathering hydrology inputs. There are a number of tools which can help you on a number of different types of projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A lot of the tools which make GeoHECHMS so helpful do not translate well into a highly urbanized watershed. The basins delineations and TC flowpaths struggle with storm sewer systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECRAS is most helpful in importing and exporting elevation data, shapefiles, AutoCAD files and more. This makes it extremely helpful when creating a model that requires information from other documents and items. My favourite feature is importing elevation data and using the generate terrain function to create a digital elevation model that can be exported to other programs with ease. What is least helpful about GeoHECRAS is that there is not much information online for help and support. The GeoHECRAS website is useful but specific and limited and not many other sites have a lot of information on how to troubleshoot when running into problems. The ability to quickly switch between multiple profiles and geometrys as needed within the same basemap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is sometimes slow to load and lags often in larger models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
