What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

What I dislike the most is when working with existing HEC-RAS models, it can be more efficient to work in the free HECRAS software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

GeoHECRAS perfectly combines the hydraulic modeling power of HECRAS with the time savings and efficiency of CAD. The software is intuitive, stable, and easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?

There are some aspects of the 3D visualization that need further development. For instance, culverts designed using the 1D modeling approach do not show up correctly in the 3D view within a terrain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GeoHECRAS solving and how is that benefiting you?

GeoHECRAS has helped us to transfer institutional knowledge from senior designers (who are proficient in HECRAS) to junior designers who are more familiar with CAD. What do you like best about GeoHECHMS?

The ability to reference a model against an aerial and any additional drawings associated with the project. It helps put the model into perspective and the support staff is easy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GeoHECHMS?

The software requires newer versions of the HEC-HMS analysis engine than what a majority of the models I have recieved have been. It requires updating subbasins to run the model in GeoHEC-HMS when it is able to run in the base software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GeoHECRAS provides a user-friendly interface that allows me to model bridges efficiently, especially for preliminary design work. I'm able to work through preliminary hydraulics so efficiently that it becomes feasible to provide preliminary engineering to potential clients for bridge and culvert replacement projects.
