GeoHECRAS is very intuitive and makes HEC-RAS much easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing that I dislike about GeoHECRAS. If there is anything I dislike it would be with HEC-RAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Modeling setup and editing are much quicker. Customer support is knowledgeable and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no downsides to this software when compared to standalone HEC-RAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The response time for customer support is amazing. Even for a simple "How do I do X." When a ticket is submitted, usually I get a response within 15 or so minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECRAS can be very taxing on your computer. I recommend either using a computer with additional RAM or closing unneeded programs before using opening GeoHECRAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Didn't support the latest version of Hec-Ras otherwise, It works properly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The compatibility with ESRI GIS and Autodesk combined with quick data input assigning of HEC-RAS entities is the primary benefit of this software. These timesaving features improve our workflows and allow for a more dynamic process to completing modeling tasks. Autodesk has attempted to integrate HEC-RAS into its software but has not been as successful as CivilGeo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
New version releases can have technical bugs that can undermine confidence in the software; however, their customer support is fantastic and bugs are fixed quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our team found that new models are much quicker to create using the GeoHECRAS platform. The ability to edit section data visually, and even just to have an 'undo' function, is worthwhile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our team generally completes our work by exporting all models back into HEC-RAS format to make the product accessible to our clients, who typically do not have a license for GeoHECRAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Geo HEC RAS allows us to spend less time on each HEC RAS project, quickly paying for itself in time saved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is that engineers who learn GeoHECRAS are less familiar with the HECRAS interface since they do all their work through GeoHECRAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A few capabilities missing that USACE HEC-RAS contains including overlaying upstream and downstream geometry for SA-2D connections Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The single platform allows the integration of GIS and CAD files for setting up the models, saving time, and increasing accuracy. The output capability to create inundation maps or output design sections to CAD increases productivity, by easily turning design into construction documents. GeoHECRAS is overall a great tool. We had to upgrade our computers to handle the GIS requirements, but it was well worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
