GeoHECHMS amplifies productivity by making the basic hechms software more intuitive, dramatically increasing workflow and model development efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A review is required because some auto-generating tools do not work perfectly, which requires additional time to perform the necessary QAQC for the model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECRAS is very user-friendly and was quick to learn. I appreciate how seamlessly you can transfer data to or from HEC-RAS and do this frequently, depending on the tool needed at that time. The customer service from the GeoHECRAS team is excellent as well- they have always been swift to answer questions and will help as long as necessary to solve the problem. Sometimes the program lags after data is added or when using lidar and Google/Bing imagery. The biggest downside right now is not being updated with the most recent HEC-RAS version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GeoHECRAS makes stream modeling easy by allowing for the direct input of geospatial data into the program. The user interface offers a familiar and user-friendly set up. As a new user, I found the program inviting and very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As easy as GeoHECRAS is, as a new user, I wished for more tutorial videos. There are various videos out there for the HECRAS program, but not too many on GeoHECRAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECRAS is extremely easy to use, and its support staff is always available for assistance. This software enables our company to provide quality modeling services! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't recognized anything I dislike about GeoHECRAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The modeling process is easy to learn, and the program itself is easy to use. Customer support is easy to reach out to, and they work with you to find solutions to any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is always room for improvement in any program that you use. The only problems I faced were due to my insufficient experience with GeoHECRAS, but now that I have good knowledge of the program, it's working fine for my projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GeoHECHMS has allowed us to look at a large area tributary to a site and calculate areas and runoff. This was achieved much quicker than in the previous analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall the system is efficient, but I feel like some tasks could be less complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECRAS is a highly user-friendly and easy-to-use tool for floodplain mapping. The technical support team is very efficient and, instantly helps resolve any issues. The software has several features that enable you to add cross-sections, bridges, levees and lateral structures easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some bugs were encountered while closing and opening dialogue boxes. However, the GeoHECRAS customer service team is always quick to respond and address any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECHMS, much like it's HEC-RAS counterpart, is a great improvement to the functionality of the base program. Features that I love are the automated curve number generation and time of concentration calcluations. The software uses GIS functionality, allowing you to bring in data and determine composite curve numbers relatively easily - saving time. With a surface, it can determine the longest Tc path for a drainage area. This path can be overridden with a custom path, or modified to give a better result - again saving time. Drainage areas and Tc paths can be exported into AutoCAD for inclusion in plan drawings. Also, importing AutoCAD drawings as overlays is very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GeoHECHMS has little to no stormwater BMP design functionality. When designing stormwater controls, I normally use GeoHECHMS to determine composite CN values and time of concentration. Then, I use these values in another program to complete the stormwater design (i.e. pond routing). Also, the tools included to change the cover type can be a bit clumsy. As far as I know, you can't import cover data in shapefile format, which would make things faster and more accurate. Instead, you have to import a drawing as an overlay, then draw over the top of the changes with tools remiscient of paint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most enjoyable part of GeoHECHMS is the automatically generated curve number and interface the NLCD land cover database. The ease of use of having the soil data easily accessible and represented graphically is a massive benefit to teaching others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program has issues interfacing with odler HECHMS files. This is not just an issue with GeoHECHMS but new versions of HECHMS as well. It would be nice to have a fix for this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
