What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

I like how simple and easy it is to use the software. The tutorials that are sent are great and concise. Implementation and the features that are included are a great addition. What problems is GeoHECRAS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our main issue is time management between projects regarding drainage reports and flood studies. It is very time-consuming and you have to be very meticulous in your tasks. This software solves those issues and makes it way easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

What do you like best about GeoHECHMS?

It being a GIS software helps to visualize data. The ability to pull such a large amount of data directly from the program is a useful tool. Analyzing predevelopment hydrology is a synch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GeoHECHMS?

You can't upload pipe network .xml files when there are already HECHMS entities in the file. It would be nice if you could upload pipe networks in iterations to analyze capacity. The way it is now, it seems like you have to rebuild the model every time you want to import a new pipe network. Consulting with ADS and other stormwater manufacturers would also make analyzing underground storage facilities easier. The drawing function is a bit clunky for manually delineating watersheds and many of the features require closed polyline from CAD to work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GeoHECHMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

To be determined. We are experimenting with it to see if it's a more efficient tool than HydroCAD for stormwater modeling. Ideally it will help solve all stormwater-related issues; inlet capacity, pipe capacity, detention facility design, ditch design ect... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Raster data processing

- Surface/terrain manipulation and editting

- Some UI differences between GeoHECRAS and native HecRas, training new users take a bit more time. Minor issue really. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Processing Lidar/Raster data from publically available sources.

- Manipulating terrain surfaces for hydraulic models

What do you like best about GeoHECHMS?

The best part is that it autodelineates the watershed and generates the flow path in 1D steady state while it's easier to set up a 2D model. The engineer's help we get to develop a model is even more phenomenal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The computer capacity it needs seems greater than what typical HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS requires. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GeoHECHMS?

The software provide us a large base with soils, rainfall data. Also, delineates basins and subbasins, within the requested scenarios. We work with local entities and utilize it for Drainage Studies Purposes, it facilitates the report development and analisys with accurate results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GeoHECHMS?

The simple user interface is super intuitive and easy to learn. You will be developing and simulating models in a matter of minutes! The customer support is superb as well. The support team is responsive and quick to identify and fix any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Occassionally you may stumble across a software bug when a new version is released, however, the support team is readily and willing to tackle any obstacles that may be in your way! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
