I was honestly blown away by how much Civil Designer can do. From handling layerworks, alignments, drainage, and terrain data, to checking speed limits and design specs, it takes care of the whole road design process. What I really appreciated was how it even calculates cut and fill volumes for you, and lets you see your design in 2D or 3D with road markings and signs. It makes the project feel real. Tasks that would have taken me days by hand were finished in just a few hours. The help guides are clear too, which made learning the software much easier. What I like most is how everything you need is built into one program, instead of jumping between different tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For a beginner, the learning curve is very steep. So proper training is needed, and thank you to the civil designer team who gave classes and notes on how to use the software. The software is quite demanding on the computer, but this is from a student's perspective. I am confident that there will be no issues once you have adequate computers in the industry. Overall, there was nothing that I disliked about Civil Designer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
