## Cityworks AMS Reviews
  ### 1. Cityworks is an asset every business needing GIS software will be glad they made the switch to!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexa L. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Cityworks AMS?**

In my opinion, the fact that Cityworks can manage my public assets and accompanying data is a lifesaver. I'm able to relax knowing this key information is managed and well-organized, on top of giving me the opportunity to access my everyday business processes is genius.

**What do you dislike about Cityworks AMS?**

I have yet to find anything on Cityworks that I find unhelpful or I dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Cityworks AMS:**

Cityworks can give you the peace of mind in knowing all of your valuable data and business documents are managed in one single application, as well as provides you with direct access to permits, licensing and land. It's a life AND time saver, as well as a peace-of-mind saver!

**What problems is Cityworks AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cityworks has helped me with issues regarding licensing and permits with my local government, and streamlined it into a one step process instead of 5.

  ### 2. Previous Daily User

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Cityworks AMS?**

In my current position, CityWorks was used daily for tracking fleet-related work order data. Although not specifically designed for this function, the software performed well and handled a large amount of data without difficulty.

**What do you dislike about Cityworks AMS?**

In our environment, the inability to add multiple items to a single task was a disadvantage. In a fleet setting, it is preferable to have a single work order with multiple tasks. Our administrator was never able to accomplish this for our use.

**What problems is Cityworks AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have moved away from CityWorks as it was a larger operating bundle than suited our needs. It was capable of performing far more than we would have effectively utilized and therefore stopped being a cost-effective option.

  ### 3. Good all-in one solution for Dev-Services and Permit tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Network Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Cityworks AMS?**

Powerful Arc-GIS back-end. Good asset and project management. Easy permit tracking. Fairly maintenance-free.

**What do you dislike about Cityworks AMS?**

Somewhat difficult to configure. User management is cumbersome.

**What problems is Cityworks AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplifies applications for customers and streamlines workflows for staff. Helps our city and utilities staff track the life cycle of assets and we achieve greater collaboration across our departments.

  ### 4. Cityworks Program is Amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Cityworks AMS?**

I applied for Cityworks because I was new to the area and wanted to learn more about the city operations. The program allows you to get a sneak preview of each division that is involved with the city, how they play a role, and an in-depth conversation with the team. I used this knowledge as I entered a career in real estate. It was not only important to me as an individual but to pass on the knowledge I gained to other people.

**What do you dislike about Cityworks AMS?**

There weren't any dislikes in the program. You are well aware during the application process that you need to attend classes with specific dates and times.

**What problems is Cityworks AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the ongoing issues with the city is transportation. The city has grown way too fast and has not prepared itself for the number of commuters. Yes, they added a toll road on Mopac, but it is NOT efficient. The metro train doesn't make sense either. I have attended transportation meetings and explained that the Portland metro system was built off of the European idea, and it works. I tend to get a lot of pushback, but to be honest, it boils down to money, and I don't think they will ever agree to add a train route to the Airport and more stops in all directions. People need to be off the roads and use public transportation.

  ### 5. Cityworks makes work enjoyable by improving business processes in equip labor materials and WOs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Cityworks AMS?**

It's completely customizable and works with ARCGIS online and MS BI to give the complete picture.

**What do you dislike about Cityworks AMS?**

New users get easily overwhelmed, but after a demo in their environment, lighten up.

**Recommendations to others considering Cityworks AMS:**

Don't hesitate, it will improve your employees lives.

**What problems is Cityworks AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving business processes city wide from water, wastewater, electric to building maintenance and parking meters.

  ### 6. CityWorks is a useful tool for enterprise-scale applications.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2022

Cross-platform connections with external data, such as with files stored using ArcGIS.

CityWorks is a worthwhile investment for enterprise-scale systems.

  ### 8. CITYWORKS IN Strathmore

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Cityworks AMS?**

The integration with the City Assets. Tracking the maintenance cost and the prioritization of work.

**What do you dislike about Cityworks AMS?**

That the GIS technician has too much control over how the assets are viewed in CityWorks. CityWorks needs to have its own views of data.

**Recommendations to others considering Cityworks AMS:**

Do you homework as to whether or not your GIS data is set up properly to handle CityWorks. Have experienced GIS Technicians who can adapt to the requirements of CityWorks. CityWorks is a great tool, but if the data isn't setup properly it can lead to long term issues.

**What problems is Cityworks AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No work orders, asset management or capital improvement. Work order control and assigning costs to activities.

  ### 9. Good platform and user friendly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher S. | Maintenance Worker I, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Cityworks AMS?**

The cost tracking aspects are extremely beneficial. Keeping track of workers, equipment, and materials is very easy using this software.

**What do you dislike about Cityworks AMS?**

Management keeps changing their focus of the program and as a result the information can be skewed

**What problems is Cityworks AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to keep track of costs more and this software does help out a lot.

  ### 12. assisting to general manager

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renat A. | Licensed Real Estate Salesperson, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2018

  ### 14. Adequite but difficult to administer

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Cityworks AMS?**

There is a lot of ability to use GIS data with work and asset management.
The core product has impressive capabilities, and great ability to create a centralized hub of activity.
Allows for easy visualization of work being done and costs associated with areas.

**What do you dislike about Cityworks AMS?**

Setting up clean end user experiences is difficult without third party assistance. The business model seems to be set up that way.
While Cityworks support will help they are specifically not interested in including training with your annual cost. Those are additional.
The help and support portal is full of information but is not organized very well and difficult to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering Cityworks AMS:**

Decide if you're willing to pay extra for working with a third party consultant. If you tend to do your work with firms and not directly manage software in house this won't be an issue. Cityworks does not have many customers who administer and manager the software in house.

**What problems is Cityworks AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization and collaboration of various divisions. Keeping track of costs on assets.
