This software is not userfriendly **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019 **What do you like best about CityView Portal?** The best part of cityview is its ability to generate reports due to all the information it is capable of holding. however the program itself is not user friendly, structured in an disorganized manner, provides unnecessary information as content that is not relevant to your position,, and crowds the drop down options. **What do you dislike about CityView Portal?** I've used many government programs in my career. I am very open to new programs in the name of efficiency. . However this software is not efficient, it take 3x the amount of time for daily functions. The way in which the windows open and close depending on the content you seek is a huge issue which should have been fixed at the initial phase of this program. I cannot think of a worse data collecting system for first line persons that work in a multitasking environment. The customization you would want to improve the program are not possible. I'd rather go back to pen and paper, which says a lot since I am part of the computer generation. Would love to help fix these problems. **Recommendations to others considering CityView Portal:** I would suggest changing the interface, limiting the content and drop-down options so that they pertain to the specific functions required by the type of user. Providing content that is relevant to another department increases the frustrations experienced by the user. The steps involved in getting simple content inputted or to generate reports or documents is cumbersome and not provided in a linear fashion. Unfortunately I do not have anything positive to say about this product, however I am willing to work with the company to provide changes that would generate customer satisfaction. **What problems is CityView Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?** This program is grossly inefficient. too much content for each user, even when the content is not relevant to the user. Creates for a crowded screen, which is further exacerbated by the illogical processes to get to the next steps. I hope the interface receives a massive overhaul. I would not suggest this program to other municipalities. Sincerely , Disappointed ### 3. The tabs at the top are useful and self-explanatory (documents and images, submittals, etc.) to help navigate the program. **What do you dislike about CityView Portal?** I do not like how complicated the program can be, especially when it comes to business rules and work flow. Inserting one little thing into the work flow can completely mess it up and take ages to remedy. **What problems is CityView Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is easier for residents' data to be stored and managed since using CityView. Permits can be easily applied for, viewed and paid for on the resident's end. ### 4.
