the thing I like the best is that the NGIPS I believe is constantly receiving new policy rules and signatures every few hours or so which allows our security to be up to date Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cisco Secure IPS (NGIPS)?

This is the best option on top of the firewalls. I like to call it as the firewall of the firewall. It helps in access control, meet the best compliance needs and is extremely effective. Firepower 4100 series is the best which comes with Includes AVC, with AMP and URL options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Secure IPS (NGIPS)?

Requires a comparatively lengthy import process for Snort rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Secure IPS (NGIPS) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Automatice Threat containment and scanning upto 600B emails per day helps for large businesses. Threat inspection from 10 to 20 Gbps is easily done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the aspects are Cisco proprietary and could not work in all evironments. Ensure you read the specifications to see if this the product for your organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
