Love the command line interface and logging. The logging is very useful for when issues are happening. Also the command line enables a lot of features and options for scripting when you have multiple firewalls. The pricing and product features are straight forward. Out of the box does not have as many features as a Sonicwall or WatchGuard. The GUI, which can be enabled for users without command line knowledge, is slow and not always helpful when adding rules. The firewall cisco is an established product in the market and therefore very stable. It has a solid network distribution and so it is very simple to renew service support contracts. To be quite popular, the product is highly targeted, including by government teams (eg NSA case with modified ASA firmware). During some windows updates, it will stop the application from running on some users machines. You will have to go in and set to run as administrator and at a previous version of windows. In the end, cost is always a factor but when it comes to hardware, software and reliability. Basically you get what you pay for. I would like to see it come down a notch when it compares to others.
