## CircleCI Reviews
  ### 1. Easy yet futuristic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzafar A. | Senior Backend Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

It was quite straightforward to migrate our CI pipelines to CircleCI. It's really easy to create jobs and workflow and SSH into jobs and I liked the way we can use external and internal Orbs! CircleCI for sure receives my recommendation 🎉

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

IP ranges are currently available exclusively for the Docker Executor and we had a few CI pipelines where we needed to use Machine Executor to make calls to private APIs and we couldn't! It may be avoided if your use case doesn't require Machine Executor making calls to private APIs.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CircleCI simplifies Continous Integration (CI) pipelines with secure and advanced features, keeping the configuration file simple and understandable at the same time!

  ### 2. Using since 2018 in production

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

It's easy to get started, almost no effort to start

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Can't have total control over the machines

**Recommendations to others considering CircleCI:**

It is the best cost-benefit.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a proper deploy pipeline that has many stages, all detailed in .yml files.

  ### 3. Simple and clean yet powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfonso P. | Desarrollador web, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

The UI makes things so understandable, I rarely have to ask someone else about something because everything is so clear and feels in its place, I like that you can have multiple projects and change between them with a dropdown

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

I don't know how easy is to setup because I didn't do that job myself, but if you can make that as simple as it is to actually use it, then you're pretty much set

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a bunch of repos, it's kind of a microservice architecture but no entirely. We have like 6 or 7 repos and it would feel impossible and overwhelming without this platform

  ### 4. From the commit to the repo

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos R. | Senior Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

I like that is free at entry level so you can build your entire pipeline and only when you need more performance you need to pay.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Learning curve, it is difficult at first to integrate everything and make it work. After that you always feel that the effort pay off.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my case CircleCI builds debian packages from my GitHub repos and push them to my repos in packagecloud.

  ### 5. A tool I rarely have to think about

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony W. | Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

The integration with github along with the configuration files that can be committed to git make this a tool I don't have to worry about configuring when setting up new projects.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

The lack of an overall dashboard for an overall view of the stats for builds across the organisation. Also a team level view for owned repository based on code owner files would be useful for meta analysis.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A standardised platform for all our services to use to ensure our environments are consistent regardless of tech stack means we can focus on service delivery and not other issues.

  ### 6. I enjoy working with this tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelina S. | QA engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

You can easily figure out which step is blocking the build since you can see details of the whole process. We have notifications in Slack when our Selenium tests are failing which makes more eyes dig into the issue.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

There is always something to improve and to make debugging process easier and faster. Of course, improving velocity will be a great lift and will make CI processes more pleasant.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Debugging issues, which tests are failing, what should be fixed in order to be built. Merging conflicts > What code should be updated in order to avoid unpleasant surprises

  ### 7. Customisable, quick and intuative CI Platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie S. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

The amount of customisation you can do is top notch. In a fully customisable YAML file that doesnt feel clunky.

The UI & UX is leagues above others such as Jenkins.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

However, I am not a fan sometimes of its speed. Whilst this is the issue with most CI platforms & is also down to build times, the speed in which the web/app could load could be better slightly.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Were undergoing a business change, thats cool - and so being able to deploy and CI in a quick fashion thats just helpful and modern is useful.

  ### 8. Easy to setup CI/CD

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

CircleCI integrates directly with version control systems, like Github and Bitbucket, and validates code changes in real time. CircleCi UI is easy to navigate to quickly view projects and pipeline status.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

It can be challenging for first-time users to set up, but once you get going easy to navigate. Would be nice to have a GUI to edit the workflows.
When a new project is set up, under the insights tab it may not contain any data, so perhaps add a guide on how easy it may be to add insights.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CircleCi has helped us build pipelines and deploy code quickly. We can easily see the build steps, set custom environments, and see results. It's a nice tool to help move towards Continuous Delivery and add value to the business.

  ### 9. It’s very convenient and intuitive to use, also the performance is super smooth.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush G. | Software engineer 2, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Intuitiveness, reliability, the overall UX is pretty solid. CI with this speed really helps iteration move fast. Also the costs are not that high given the benefits of the product.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

I Haven't encountered anything issue in particular as such, but rarely builds fail due to transient network issues and can be frustrating especially if it's a big build.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with automated deployment and setting up pipelines for any kind of project. Also CI helps keep every commit in master under check and helps us avoid issues with the same

  ### 10. Best Platform for managing all our application releases

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manikandan B. | Senior Frontend Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Build time is the biggest strength of circleCi. We also can run workflows with SSH which is very helpful. It also gives good notifications regarding the builds.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Circleci dashboard is not very intuitive to use. And it is also very slow in term of responsiveness. Also analysing the history of build times and failure reasons are not easy

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we had is to manage our react native application release. With circle ci we're able to solve the time taken to go through the manual release

  ### 11. It's stable and fast, but a bit hard to learn

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David José S. | Sr Release Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

It's capable of doing whatever you want at a very good speed, and it's reliable; it does not have builds fail over nothing, if something fails means there's something you need to fix. Also, integration with code repositories and Slack is very good (at least on my experience)

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

It wasn't easy to understand how to build complex pipelines. The documentation I found helped with basic examples, but more difficult ones were mostly at trial and error. Also, the default dashboard doesn't provide much data.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps with productivity & quality, doing builds at a fast speed, including some testing automation. Once you have your pipeline set, you can mostly forget about it!

  ### 12. Awesome tool for Continuous Integration and Deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew G. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Circle CI is the most efficient tool for Continous Integration and Deployment. These tools have uncountable cool features:
- Easy to set continous integration and deployment jobs
- Easy to learn and use
- interactive user interface
- test analytics and workflow set up
- Nice reporting and flawless functionality.
Highly recommended tool for DEVOPS and CI CD needs..

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

As of now no reason to dislike tool its really awesome tool giving free minutes to startups and learners. Only small suggestion to provide documentation for setup on Unix machine.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool is helping ThoughtCoders and their clients in Continous Integration and Deployment activities.

  ### 13. Easy, fast configuration for quick and automatic CI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

- Sign in flow via GitHub is easy and seamless
- Failed/passed test email notifs are easy to configure
- Integration tests are easy to trigger via web and CLI
- Pipeline test run UI is comprehensive but easy to read

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

- Could be independent on CircleCI, but tests could be flaky at times/require specific ordering to pass
- Email notifs can be flaky and unreliable at times
- Could have better dashboards and data analytics on test runs

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- CircleCI runs integration tests for our static web application that acts as an interface and facade for our main product, a web application. It is triggered on each PR for the static site

  ### 14. CircleCI is a good tool for fast moving teams, but not always the most convenient.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

The upsides of circle ci are that you can Easily specify the machine that your tests run on. Defining tests are very simple (I.e the yaml definition) compared to things like GitHub actions.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

CircleCI doesn't live in the same place as my code. Even though there's a GitHub integration, team members have to go into the circleCI console to see why their run failed.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CircleCI is used to test our code at all steps and making sure that our company doesn't ship breaking changes. It allows people to find errors before they are made.

  ### 15. Good automated pipeline(ci/cd) tool for software development

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anil B. | Staff Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

It's good CI/CD pipeline for early detection of build errors in code.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

It's syntax strict. Even a small syntaxes error causes pipeline to fail.
It will be good if we have a tool to verify whether code for circle ci is syntactically correct.

And whole process to run takes quit long time.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It automates the build process. As and when a developer make and pushes changes to a branch in github, build triggered automatically and detects lot of errors at early stage only

  ### 16. Easy to use CI software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uri H. | Software architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Ease of use for their yml configuration files

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

I feel as though their runners are costing a lot more than if I'd run them myself and I would expect the difference to not be that great

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily running CI pipelines in the cloud without worrying about spinning up servers

  ### 17. easy to use and reliable CI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcel S. | F, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

the easy to use UI that even if you don't know it you can learn it fast

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

sometimes can be very slow, when the CI process is a bit complex

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

making sure that every new build is consistent and approves all tests

  ### 18. How circleCI helps in CI/CD for multiple systems

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jakub D. | Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

The flexibility of using machine type of workers and debugging workflows with SSH.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Quite often downtimes. This sometimes really slows downs or even breaks workflows.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to maintain our own machines, the free tier for public projects is also a game-changer.

  ### 19. Extremely user friendly and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

It's super easy to configure and troubleshoot pipelines for automatic testing and deployment of projects. The UI is very easy to use and self explanatory. Also it's super easy to connect with various VCS.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

The most difficult part is when working for example with one project on github and one project on bitbucket that you have to constantly logout to switch between them. Also once got stuck in a redirect cycle where I was being redirected to a project from another account after login.. which sent me back to the login page.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it on daily basis to automatically test new features from various branches and deploy branches to specific environments. Makes the process super easy and quick.

  ### 20. The best experience i've ever had

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renan L. | Software engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

The configuration is easy enough but at the same time there's lot's of possibilities

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

The documentation could be improved, but i understand it the way it is

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatically running my test suite and finding bugs before they go to prod

  ### 21. Easy to use sotware!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

1. Very easy to use pipeline software
2. A lot of resources to learn the tool quickly
3. Support for macOS builds is the 'killer feature'

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

1. We get a lot of emails when there is a failure in the pipeline.
2. UI can be better
3. A bit expensive

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Building iOS apps.
2. Faster testing, Quick merge, and releases.
3. Connectivity to the Google cloud platform and continuous deployment.

  ### 22. CircleCI is very straight forward to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco S. | Software Development Engineer In Test, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

CircleCI is very easy to use and has a very intuitive interface. It also has many features and tools that help in getting insights from different builds. It is on par with the other tools I have used for the same goal.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

There is no scripting configuration. You must rely on the YAML file.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used CircleCI to execute automated regression tests for a web API regularly.

  ### 23. CircleCI is easy to set up, easily configured, and rarely goes down.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elliot P. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

I like that it is easy to set up. The github integration made setup very fast.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Configuring which branch/tag a pipeline should run on is difficult because the "filters" are all OR filters, not AND filters. It would be nice to be able to use both.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CircleCI gives us the confidence to deploy our application regularly. We spend very little time on deployments compared to previous companies I've worked with.

  ### 24. Circle CI has been helpful in preventing regressions to production user-facing code

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Circle CI running automated tests to help prevent regressions. These automated tests catch errors that my local dev set up does not catch, which implies circle CI is necessary for writing bug free code.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Fairly often tests timeout when running circle CI, and then I need to restart the test. When I restart the test, I sometimes have to wait 20 - 30 minutes. This eats into the development cycle with a lot of waiting time.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle CI solves the problem of testing production code end-to-end using similar-to-production test infrastructure and that benefits me by performing testing that mirrors production better than my local set up does.

  ### 25. As a member of a tech team, it is a great solution for keeping a maintainable codebase.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

The ability to debug. It displays very explicit information about why my code was not good enough or wrong. Therefore it helps me reduce technical debt.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Sometimes it can still be quite slow. Especially when running a large amount of E2E tests on an important project. I know there is an option to hold them so this duration is not really a problem.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps developers and tech teams to maintain a high level of code quality and reduces technical debt. It benefits me because I can understand my errors and share it to the rest of my team easily if I need help

  ### 26. CircleCI is an excellent and easy to use CI tooll

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

CircleCI works very well out of the box. It does not take long to be up and running.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

We initially had issues debugging some of our builds but the feature to ssh into your build container fixed that.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring our product will run correctly by running build tests. It also enables us to continuously deliver and deploy new builds.

  ### 27. Circle Ci is very modular and intuitive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Circle Ci offers a lot of tools and customizations. It is very well linked to github and has a lot of orbs . The documentation is also very rich.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Circli Ci still have some limitations, like the integration with private repositories is still limited, also there is no support for concurrent pipelines to wait for each other to begin ( synchronously runnig )

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle Ci is taking care of all the process of linting; validating; running unit tests; integration tests and e2e tests along with build and deploy; technically Circle Ci is doing all the heavy lifting

  ### 28. A complete tool for CI/CD

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Many tools provide CI/CD capabilities, but Circle CI has a good set of utilities and is very organized. In addition, much of the complexity is already solved by the tool, allowing developers to focus on what matters: the pipeline

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Sometimes I feel that deliveries take longer than they should, but maybe it's my company's settings. Overall I am satisfied with the service offered.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CircleCI solves some of the complexity that we would have with other tools: there is no need to manage containers and keep the Circle CI environment manually configured. In addition, tool updates are automatic.

  ### 29. It's been smooth to use CircleCI for most of my projects. I've never run into major problems.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Upsides: Easy to read errors and understand how to fix them. It's also very helpful for reviewing PRs as it can direct you to parts of the codebase that probably need the most work.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Downsides: Tests can be slow to run, I find myself staring at the screen for minutes at a time, waiting for the results to load which slows down my development time significantly.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving problems related to DevOps. It makes the experience of writing production-ready code safer and faster since I can see at a glance what's wrong and how to fix it.

  ### 30. Very impressed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Automation of build pipelines in github make review process a lot simpler as we believe in automation a lot

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

I dont think i have anything yet but if anything comes up i will share

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated deployments, automated running of test suites, creating containers for review of PR's without needing developers to pull changes locally and static analysis of code

  ### 31. Well documented and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

The documentation is really helpful and it also gives a detailed overview on all the concepts they have been using so it.makes it easier for me to best use the platform

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

It takes a while to understand how things work so need.to be patient t and read the documentation carefully

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing the whole ci/cd pipeline for the different projects

  ### 32. Great tool for CI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Package/Freight Delivery | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

That you can automate all the steps that you need to create a gret product

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Sometimes it's hard to read all the logs because it's a lot of information and could be hard to read it

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

That CircleCi take care of all the process so I just have to push my changes and that's it

  ### 33. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

We used circle cI for such a long time, and It was really helpful to identify failures before deploying, sometimes when we are working on local machine, without knowing we are usung cache data and that can lead to various issue in our system. Without circleCI we could identify issues that making by our mistake

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

For now nothing, but we would love to get integrate circle CI with communication Platforms like slack, ms Teams.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identify build and complite failures before, and help to achive unit test coverage and identify failures before QA

  ### 34. A good CI solution for a quick start

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak K. | Senior Integration Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2021

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

We are using Circle CI for Maven-based projects. The best thing about the CircleCI is its ability to quick and smooth integration with Github. Its OOTB integration with Slack and Jira is also very helpful to track and discuss the deployments on the fly. One's ability to edit and test CircleCI config files through a web browser is also a very good feature.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

The way CircleCI provide to manage environment variables is a bit messy. It's very confusing when we refer to Organization level variables and Environments variables in circleci.yaml file.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using CircleCI with various types of technologies in our organization. We mostly use it for our Java-Maven (MuleSoft) based applications and PHP based applications.

  ### 35. Circle CI is great but is down too often.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Easy Integration with our deployments. Great documentation and fair pricing.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Downtime is inconvenient and frequent. Often blocks unexpected hotfixes that are not planned.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated deployments as opposed to manual. Increase in velocity and testing - It is great that many errors are caught early by circle ci.

  ### 36. Simplified Development for our Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Two things: simplified the development for our team, and allowed us to test in multiple environments and visually see the progress of the environments

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

We had to always remember to tear down our branches manually. This is tedious because at times one forgets. If this process can be streamlined, that would be great

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplifying the software development lifecycle - with this, one can easily setup pipelines and deploy and see the changes made, instead of having to share servers

  ### 37. So simple to use

  ### 42. Made the CI configurations very easy with comfortable UI and features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Configuring a project is easy with CircleCI compared to other CI tools. And the UI is much more straightforward. Even a beginner can understand and perform the tasks.
We can follow and unfollow the projects so we can get the Email notifications of the builds with status. Its a handy feature to have for a CI tool.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Nothing such to highlight. But when we go to a project and filter the project by Branch Name; it is a little messy with reduced resolutions. Such as on a mobile screen or a tab.
But everything else works great.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the project executions are done on CIrcleCI. Everythng is configured to run upon push and merge. I get the email notifications upon failure. Also, we have enabled to take the screenshots upton test failure as i mostly work in test automation.

  ### 43. Amazing tool for getting transparency in the organisation

Sometimes the web app takes a long time to launch.

Streamline the software build process

  ### 47. Its ok but I prefer GitHub actions

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Has some more features that GitHub actions don't have (eg manual approval steps)

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Several things are not intuitive. E.g. how do you check out a repository and then run all subsequent "run" steps in a specific subdirectory. A rich amount of public orbs is missing, compared to GH actions

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's for CI/CD of all our services

  ### 48. Super stable CI/CD app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

  ### 50. Circle ci is the sliced bread of cicd pipelining

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about CircleCI?**

Intuitive ui and notifications make it sweet. Having the ability to set env variables in different scopes is really great as well. Coding the config for ci is super simple and linking with docker images.

**What do you dislike about CircleCI?**

Relying on cloud infra to keep our jobs running. I understand there is an SLA, but there have been many times where jobs fail, we troubleshoot only to find cci went down and didn't alert us until after the fact.

**What problems is CircleCI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Entire builds get tested and deployed thru circle ci. When we have new schema changes and updates the pipeline automatically updates the db. Performance has increased and cci is now the new norm.
