Cinema 4d offers ease of use and a robust toolset for modeling, motion graphics, and rendering. Its learning curve is not steep compared to other packages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maxon Introduced a subscription model recently, They should have retained perpetual Licences and included Redshift in the package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cinema 4D has impressive tools, especially for animation. But what first caught me was the clean and visually comfortable work environment. You can spend hours working on your 3d project without getting tired, inside Cinema 4D it's a pleasant activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The modeling tools are good enough but they can improve, especially retopology. If you need a quick and automated solution to retopology your model, it can be complicated with the tools available in Cinema 4D alone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great product tho model, render and animate. Has an excellent own render engine. And if combined with other render engines (like Vray), great quality can be achieved!! And it also runs in Windows and Mac, so it's hard to have compatibility issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not so many plugins and materials existing in comparison with 3DS Max and Maya. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Things that I like about Cinema 4D are
1. It is straightforward to learn
2. The viewport can be configured according to other applications like 3Ds Max
3. The tools are modeling friendly
4. It is very well equipped and loaded with most of the tools and features for 3d graphics
5. Easy to export files to other formats
6. It has a built-in render farm (team Render)
7. It is super stabl Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. It is super expensive
2. Bodypainting and UV Texture editing needs to improve
3. Render output is not as good as other Softwares
4. It crashes in heavy scenes
5. Not suitable for developing interactive animation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tools in Cinema 4D can be used for a wide range of 3D applications. Users of the program can create basic to complex models quickly, regardless of their experience level. This program not only simplifies modeling, but also adds lighting, textures, and animation. If you would like to create a photorealistic image or a cartoon, this program can help. In spite of decades on the market, there is still a lack of training material for this software. As a program, C4D is capable of so many things and has many bells and whistles. We need tutorials that cover every aspect of the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integrated renderer in cinema 4d is both fast and effective. The learning resources are vast and you can learn simple techniques and also complex things like VFX in both a fun and professional way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is a bit pricey for beginner designers. Without proper guidance, the interface is overwhelming to users. Users most of the time use only 10% of the tools to get their designs done, the other 90% of tools are unknown and useless to some users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its very easy to use. Many interesting designs can be easily made pretty quickly. Its each variant is streamlined for particular function. You can do almost everything from procedural modeling, animation, texturing, lighting, rendering, polygons. It can be integrated in a work flow that can include Adobe After effects. It will never crash. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its costs almost or than $700 for a basic license, other variants cost more of upto $3000. It still needs a better workflow. Few things like body paints and UV can be much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tools provided inside Cinema4d are really easy to use. The tools are very good, especially for motion graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface of c4d is quite boring as compared to other software. Also, its integration with other software is not that good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From the first day of use, you identify with cinema4d's intuitive and easy-to-use GUI. This is a great starting point, while other similar software seems confusing, in cinema4d you get a lightweight environment with easily accessible features.
It has fantastic resources for animation, both for beginners and advanced users, in a few minutes you can get interesting effects, especially when learning the Mograph resources. Finishing a render using redshift will complete the experience as it should be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Advanced users may miss some modeling features, such as a good retopology tool, the one present in the cinema doesn't work properly and we often prefer not to use it.
Another negative point is the price, very expensive, especially for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
