What I am liking the best about Cin7 is all the different functions that I can use for inventory managements and that it is linked to other tools that I use on a day to day basis but now I should be able to see everythin in CIN7.

The complete package received is very cost effective compared to other products in the market place. You only need to pay for modules that you use.

Support is extremely quick, and for the most part they know what they are talking about and issues are resolved promptly,

I feel that they need an experienced accountant on their IT team as there are "holes" in their programming that really should not be there and often we are only talking about basic accounting.

There is no age analysis

Reporting is in general very poor and difficult to navigate and find what you are looking for

No report for credit notes not restocked

Ability to not have discount on a single item

Authorisation for credit notes is linked to invoices instead of being stand alone

- Many small issues that if fixed will make a monumental difference to the users

We contacted Cin7 over a month ago to cancel our account. After calls with three salespeople, onboarding teams, and more, not once did anyone mention that cancellation had to be initiated via a button hidden in our account. As a result, we’ve now been charged another ~$1,000 for a product we never used, on top of the $2–3k we spent initially just to get set up. This lack of transparency in the cancellation process is unacceptable.

Beyond billing, the platform itself fell short of expectations. The B2B portal was not to the standards we required, the POS system felt isolated, and overall the software is starting to feel dated. While Cin7 does have extensive features, that breadth makes training your team a long and costly exercise. Modern systems with AI support and native API integrations (such as Shopify) have made platforms like Cin7 less essential and more of a legacy choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Cin7 Core is pretty intuitive to use but also robust enough to support more complex business models such as ours. I also appreciate that it integrates with platforms like QuickBooks and Shopify, which has been really helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the user interface and there are so many functional features that apply to almost all business types. Easy to integrate with multiple tech stacks and sales channels (ecommerce, accounting, POS). It's very easy to implement products, crm data and I use the system daily for both internally and other clients as an adviser. I like how we can control all the templates and the B2B visual.

It is fairly user-friendly.

Lots of tutorials, and the Academy is great.

I wish the B2B could display only the store we want instead of either only one or all.

The Sale Orders have limited features. It is not possible to merge 2 or move items to another SO.

In the Sales pages, I wish it were possible to filter by status. There are lots of different status and they don't match the preset filters which we find to be confusing.

I find that most pages are missing a multi-filtering option. Ex: In the Product Availability page, it is impossible to filter for a specific brand, on Hand greater than 0 and inventory for store 1 and store 2. To see that, you have to export in Excel.

I wish there was a master search field where I could type the name of a page to access it quickly.

The ChatBOT is useless.

We have only just come towards the end of our onboarding, therefore it is too early in our journey to give feedback on the software at this stage. The only obvious area that the developers could improve is the rental equipment capabilities under the sales module of the software. This would make the scope of the software be more comprehensive for a business that sell products, services and rentals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the reporting, MRP, product famillies and the fact that Cin7 can integrate with shopify and if I would like to in the future, I can integrate Xero. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Having used Shopify and Cin7 at the same time in a migration I would say Cin7 let's itself down by not being able to bulk edit on the platform, instead the csv method is used which is good but means there are many fields of data to look at at the same time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's stock management capabilties. Tracability on batch numbers. Locations make it easy to find stock issues within transfers. Intergrations are generally easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Limitations of reports. Shopify intergration requires manual updating of products for it to correctly refelect on Shopify's side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So far it is an intuitive system and easy to navigate. The implementation is key and you must pay attention and rewatch the videos numerous times to get the hang of it. I had no prior inventory system experience so I'm sure it was more of a hill for me to climb and I did it.

The implementation team, Zoey Dutton and Emma Sawin, are fantastic. They took time with me to make sure I understood workflow steps, answered my emails within 24 hours, and were willing to give more detailed answers knowing my lack of knowledge about inventory systems in general.
