What do you like best about Checkwriters?

Checkwriters makes it easy to do payroll. They handle all the updates with ease. We know that our payrolls are accurate and that everything is in compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Checkwriters?

I find that they are challenging to get a hold of. The calls or emails are always returned in a timely manner. Sometimes we have to reach out 2 or 3 times to get an answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

The customer service. The account representatives are highly responsive and timely. That's not something you see much these days with other vendors. You have the same folks helping you and have a direct line of communication. It's very helpful, especially with such a time-sensitive process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Checkwriters?

Chrome is the main browser we use at my company. We aren't able to use Chrome for certain functions in CheckWriters and need to do it through a different browser, ie. Safari.

Some of the manager functionality could also be enhanced. I.e. visibility to accruals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is difficult to look at and it is easy to make mistakes when entering payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?

Checkwriters was able to build a report so that we could track retirement deductions, including annual reporting needs as well as weekly uploaded files. However it took a couple of months as well as multiple emails to obtain the needed reports and it wasn't great that we needed to keep following up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We hear what you're saying about some of the Payroll screens; you'll be happy to know that our Development Team has been working on updating and modernizing those screens and we anticipate a speedy release!

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

What do you dislike about Checkwriters?

I've not used a 3rd party payroll system in the past so not having all the payroll data linked to our g/l is what I dislike most but I'm pleasantly surprised that's about all I can find to criticize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

I can call and talk to a real person anytime I need to. The staff is friendly and understands that I am not a payroll expert. I would say that they "care" about my business and that is very important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Checkwriters?

The web interface is a little rough. I am a retired software professional and my guess is that they're trying to support multiple platforms with one code base. Not a huge issue. Their support is awesome when I can figure something out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

We contemplated changing payroll companies for a while. The no-hassle communication between CheckWriters and myself made taking the leap easier. We had been with our previous company for at least 10 years. The services CheckWriters provides are excellent and has made all aspects of my position completing HR task easier. I am much more productive and complete payroll confidently. If I have questions, I get quick responses. Their customer service is impeccable! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

This has been one of the easiest payroll systems we've used.

We have lots of season employees so it's easy to schedule different pay rates during various pay periods. Love the online ability for employees to look at their payroll info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

The Checkwriters team made our onboarding very simple. They answered all of my questions and did a lot of the "heavy lifting" that made the process seamless for us internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Checkwriters?

I was hoping the timekeeping system would work for us, but, unfortunately, it didn't. We need a more robust timecard download for grant purposes and haven't found it yet. I appreciate the team continuing to work with us and find a great solution, though! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
