What do you like best about Checkwriters?

I have 1 person to contact. It is nice to not have to dial a customer service number. I just email 1 person about anything, he takes of it immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Checkwriters?

I haven't found anything I dislike yet. I've been with checkwriters for almost 2 years now. They are VERY easy to deal with compared to my old payroll processor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?

TAX ISSUES! My old payroll company made a mess of my taxes. Checkwriters pays the taxes for me. They are paid on time. I have not received any notifications from the tax agencies about not filing or paying the wrong amount. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER about how easy checkwriters make it for me to set up a new employee and make sure the tax deductions are correct Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

One thing I love about CheckWriters is that you have a team who is always available for a question, to correct an error, and make sure that you are compliant. Having locations in multiple states can make it challenging to keep track of the day-to-day changes, and knowing they have my back is key! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Checkwriters?

I have not used all of their systems, but I know last time I did a tutorial in the benefits division, it did not look like everything integrated easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

We have a monthly payroll process which is logical, fast, intuitive, and accurate. Any time I have an issue (which is infrequent), a quick call with little hold time solves my issue. I appreciate the value that CheckWriters offers by keeping pricing under control. I enjoy the clean and easy-to-read user interface. CheckWriters is adding to its reference materials bit by bit. What do you dislike about Checkwriters?

They are sticklers for security, and that slows my employees sometimes. But, if anyone complains to me, it's more of a benefit than a problem. I want some special features designed for schools: summer pay, substitute processing, and access to the API so I can develop apps and forms. Also, I wish they had a QBO Advanced interface to push more payroll detail into my general ledger. I import the summary journal entry using Transaction Pro but detailed payee names would help me ensure proper general ledger coding. This isn't a major issue. What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?

The modern ESS (employee self-service) has cut down on questions from our employees by 90%. Out of 72 employees, we only have three that need regular, monthly hand-holding, which is par for the course! And, even with multiple types of time off, the software handles them easily. Our employees and approvers process requests with little help from the business office.

Payroll and related tax compliance become a three-hour-per-month task. I've used other payroll systems and CheckWriters is the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Checkwriters?

Checkwriters allowed us to have one system for HR and payroll. This also streamlined many other processes that we were doing manually or using through other vendors such as ACA reporting, benefits enrollment, timesheets, job postings and onboarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Losing a great customer service rep that is dedicated to you and is there with you from the beginning. It is great that CheckWriters is able to promote those individuals but you make a connection and it is always hard to let them go but you know they deserve the promotion! What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?

Checkwriters solved a lot of problems for us, from ACA reporting, benefit enrollment, onboarding, timesheets, PTO tracking, etc. We had so many ways of completing all of these tasks but it is now all located within one system and one vendor.
