What I really like about Checkout.com is how smooth and reliable it is to use, especially when handling international payments. Everything from the API to the dashboard, just works cleanly and it gives clear visibility into every transaction. It feels modern, fast and easy to manage.

What I dislike about Checkout.com is that the initial setup can feel a bit technical, especially if you don’t have a developer to handle the integration. I also noticed that customer support can be slower than expected, especially for smaller issues. And while the features are great, the platform can feel too big and complicated if your business only needs simple payment tools.

**What do you like best about checkout.com?**

Its API is easy for developers to use, making it a much better to integrate. It also supports both global and local payment methods, real-time analytics, and fraud protection. It’s a much better option than other payment providers like Stripe.

Setting it up can be a bit of a hassle, especially for smaller startups. The dashboard is super useful, but it’s not easy to understand. Some of the advanced features need help from a pro. It would be great if they had more self-serve tools.

**What do you like best about checkout.com?**

I am quite satisfied with the pricing of Checkout services. At the same time, autorization rates are on a really competitive level. These two factors mainly contribute to our traffic distribution structure, and Checkout being the main PSP we operate with (with the highest share of traffic) on a daily basis.
The support team is always quick to respond and very cooperative, also they are just nice to work with, we have good realtions in my opinion.
The panel itself is easy to navigate, modern and I can quickly find the details of the payment.
The implementation and integration of new features is similar to other providers, I have never received any complaints from the dev team about it. 
Events that Checkout organizes for merchants are top level, I realy enjoyed the last event in Barcelona.
I also appreciate the detailed performance reports that we receive regularily, these give us interesting insight on the pieces of information that we don't see in our internal systems.

**What do you dislike about checkout.com?**

I would lovre the panel to have more competitive anylysis tools, with ready made dashboards, allowing to quickly see the details about payments performance.
Sometimes the recommendations we receive do not turn out with a positive outcome, which can be frustrating. 
Also, some features that are additionally charged (e.g. intelligent acceptance) should be included in the price in my opinion, as achieving highest possible auth rates is a mutual goal.

**What do you like best about checkout.com?**

The best thing about checkout is the closeness with the team, something necessary when you are implementing a payment gateway within the company. Besides the number of available payment methods, the clarity (within the complexity) of the dashboard and reports makes the daily work of the ecommerce and financial team easier.

For me, as a CMO, the most important thing is to have someone who speaks your language as an account manager, to be able to review the proper functioning of the gateway and have first-hand improvement proposals. I think this is the most relevant and interesting aspect.

The integration is also simple; for us, it has meant a paradigm shift, as having a single integration instead of dozens of them worldwide changes the game. Many might think that the solution is more expensive than integrating with each bank and payment method, but you have to consider the maintenance cost, and in the end, the advantage is clear.

**What do you dislike about checkout.com?**

I would just point out that I would incorporate payment methods that the competition might have or new ones in a more agile way; and that there should be a technical team that communicates in Spanish (in the end, it makes things easier with the team).

**What do you like best about checkout.com?**

Checkout.com was a favorite of my developers, specially due to how clear their technical documentation is, which made implementation rather easy as well as the integration of new payment methods. 
We use their system on daily basis and does not require any extra effort in achieving what we expect.
One of the aspects which adds value to the product and service is the support we get from our dedicated account manager, who makes sure we always know about new payment methods or services which we can add to improve our sales.

It can be frustrating at times to communicate with the customer support team, in the absense of our account manager.

With one integration we are not only able to process credit card payments globaly but we also have a wide range of alternative payment methods at our disposal.

**What do you like best about checkout.com?**

Checkout offers great acceptance performance when processing payments. And as a PSP, this is the main thing it needs to be good at, doing so successfully. 

As a business user I don't need to handle integration but I've used their different APIs for consulting transaction details or doing small actions. These APIs are straightforward to use for someone with a bit of technical knowledge without needing to be an engineer.

The gateway configuration, reports, etc setup is straightforward to do for a business user.

Reports and analytics are clear and easy to use, with the features being very responsive, having low time to interaction.

Customer support is super good as well. The account management team is great and always helpful and their monitoring teams also give a hand in proactively looking at our traffic and letting us know if there's anything going on that we need to look at.

**What do you dislike about checkout.com?**

My main issue with Checkout.com is the lack of some very specific payments processing features, such as overcaptures

Checkout is helping us accept customer payments with a very high acceptance rate. As a merchant, the main thing is letting your customers pay successfully, and Checkout.com helps in solve this.

**What do you like best about checkout.com?**

Checkout.com has a great product to offer, but also a dedicated team that assist their merchants on a high level and brings in results. Here at Infinox we have appreciated the product offering, as it is suitbale for our needs and type of business. Right now, Checkout is our main provider for card solution and the results are postive! Both for approval rates in different markets and increase in volume. Their dedicated team keeps us updates frequently and ensure to inform us on any new products that can helkpl our business grow, I believe that is quality and that is why we I would recommend them.

To be fair, at this current stage CKO is working great and we have had no direct issues unresolved. One thing I could say is the backoffice could have a small improvement.

Checkout.com has resolved the approval rates! we operate globally and sometimes in markets where credit cards can be a challenge, but this has been fully resolved ever since we started working with checkout.com 
we also used to have a transactlimit problem in which Chekcout.com has helped us directly and solved this for us. Clients are now able to transact higher amounts.

**What do you like best about checkout.com?**

Transparent pricing, excellent relationship management, and pragmatic approach to growing together.

There have been mulitple times when we've discovered that seemingly 'simple' functionality delivered by Checkout.com has been very difficult to replicate well  (e.g. floating fields for card data), showing just how well the technology has been built by them. Note: we needed to do this, to move to a payments orchestrator and didn't want to bring the PCI scope in-house.

We've partnered with them from launch with one of our brands, and its been one of my best business decisions ever (an opinion shared by my COO).

**What do you dislike about checkout.com?**

We've hit some "bleeding edge" tech limitations as we've grown.

Because we are a technology-led business, we've experimented with new functionality with Checkout.com, especially when it comes to customer-facing features. Sometimes things go awry, or don't work as expected. 

More work needs to be done around the financial reporting and reconciliation pieces.

Card acquiring, for pay-ins and pay-outs.

They are also very quick to get through onboarding with, and so become my lead acquirer for market launches in territories that they support.

They used to be most expensive of all our payment providers but we have committed significant volumes and the discounts make them the best value for money now.

We are an online marketplace.  Checkout helps us process payments for our submerchants in six different currencies.  We monetize on merchant saleso on our platform so acceptance rate is critical.  We benchamrked Checkout against all regional processors and found that checkout had the highest acceptance rate for all cards used local and international.

The ability to have a fully integrated experience inside of Shopify.

A checkout experience for out customers that only once the payments is captured, and then and only then does the order get placed. Previous we was with HyperPay in KSA and when the customer placed an order, the order would be plaed even if the payment was not processed, this was then very confusing to the back office function handling the order.

Checkout.com have great acceptance performance when it comes to card acquiring with both card-on-file and Xpay.
The documentation is easy to read and API documentation is clear and makes integration straightforward.
They offer great support and fast answering thanks to dedicated direct communication channel.
The dashboard offers a rather simple but fast way to get daily insight into how your transactions are performing.

The only issue with Checkout.com might be the lack of more advanced features on their data analytics tool you can find on your dashboard as well as more filtering options on the transaction view.

**What do you like best about checkout.com?**

Checkout.com is customer-centric, meaning they have invested in great Account Managers, that bring a lot of strategic knowledge and insights to our business. They are always keen to help and address any concern and, from a cost point of view, are one of the most transparent providers in the market.
On a reporting level, they support reconciliation without overcomplicating their environment and reports, simplifying our day-to-day operational and financial forecasting roles.

**What do you dislike about checkout.com?**

Checkout.com is growing so some localization and features are yet to be developed. For that reason, compared to more mature providers, they can be slightly late to the game but are always pushing to deliver more with high standards.
I believe all those points will be tackled soon, putting Checkout.com in a much more competitive position.

We needed a strong fallback when we implemented Checkout.com which then proved to be a great opportunity to increase performance in several markets.
Cost-wise they are quite competitive which supports our need to control our P&L.

Dispute handling is largely fantastic, and the setup makes it easy for our Disputes team to monitor, investigate, and respond to disputes effectively.

**What do you dislike about checkout.com?**

The switch from the Hub to the Dashboard has come with some changes that I haven't fully come to grips with, including having to download the daily reports rather than having them mailed. 

Further, for chargebacks, it's still a manual process to take a chargeback into arbitration. Not a big deal though.

Finally, we had some issues when migrating from the Hub to the Dashboard with regard to the fraud rules which were set up, some fell away, and we lost visibility on others. The support team has been very helpful and responsive in terms of getting us back on track.

Provides a fiat onramp for our customers to buy cryptocurrency in the EU, UK, and AU. Having a sole provider across several regions is hugely beneficial compared to having to deal with separate providers in each region.

It's like night and day compared to some aging solutions: the documentation is clear, making deployment and integration with existing systems (a custom e-commerce solution) easy, the examples and APIs are easy to understand, there are many payment methods that can be integrated, and access rights management is simple, allowing teams to access the data they need every day without a significant need for training.

**What do you dislike about checkout.com?**

The interface is in English and part of the support is only available in English, which may inconvenience some collaborators.

We have shortened our order tunnel thanks to Checkout.com and its ease of integration. The solution is very mobile-friendly, and we can integrate new payment methods in just a few hours. This allows access to international payment methods without having to redo administrative files with each provider.

Account support from relationship manager and technical manager is top quality. All the insights, updates are being shared instantly and team had good product and market knowledge, which helps on daily basis. Merchant dashboards are easy to use.

Performance slightly behind competitors. In order to improve performance merchants need to pay extra cost, which does not make sense especially when competitors are performing better without any extra fee. Lack of global coverage in some markets, which prevents from giving all business to checkout.

The chargeback handling platform is also easy to use, which increases the ROI for each dispute.

The latest version changed the way refunds and chargebacks are recorded, moving their date to the date of the initial transaction (PAID) and not the effective date of the refund or chargeback. 
This change modifies the weighting of the ratios of these KPIs.

We would be happier if Checkout could offer some local payment methods in Europe & GCC without requiring a local entity in those regions

More instalment (BNPL) payment options would be appreciated

We would also like to have a very clear liability shift conditions explained in their documentation for digital wallet payments

In general, having a boolen value for each transaction highlighting whether liability has shifted to the issuer bank would be appreciated

The checkout team is extremely professional and helpful. They have always been quick to address any issues we have. Additionally, the settlement period and pricing checkout offers is extremely competitive. We use checkout on a daily basis and is our primary payment gateway.

We have been unable to link account IDs to transactions on checkout. This makes our mapping process more complicated, and is somethig that can be improved in the future.

Checkout offers competitive pricing and a very flexible settlement period which allows us to maintain cash flow for our business. Checkout's fraud engine is also very easy to use and was quick to set up for us. The dashboard is easily navigated even without much help at first but of course Checkout offers a call to assist business how to use its dashboard that has pretty much everything we require.

Support team took one month to get back to us how fraud ratio is calculated. It's too long.

It has 3Ds and not a lot of PSPs have that (PayPal doesn't). It helps reduces fraud occurrences.

Very solid product, strong team, great support and always available.

UI can be improved alot for the hosted payment page. Checkout was helpful to implement our recommended UX changes but still much improvement can be made.

We wanted to process payments from users via card, apple pay and google pay. Using checkout for these 3 methods. Also wanted to have a very strong fraud prevention tool in place, checkout offers a really comprehensive dashboard for that as well.
