**What do you like best about CharityEngine?**

CharityEngine's Billing Engine, which is very powerful, especially as it relates to the ongoing billing of our large file of recurring donors. They have built in tools to ensure these donors remain on file as credit cards expire or become invalid.  Our retention rate on recurring donors is very high as a result.

**What do you dislike about CharityEngine?**

While expected with a product as robust as CharityEngine, it can take some time to train new employees on the software.  With that said, though, their Client Services team is always available to help out when needed.

**What problems is CharityEngine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wounded Warrior Project's DRTV fundraising model, which drives our recurring donor growth, is complex and requires many vendors to be in sync at all times.  With CharityEngine's strong reporting infrastructure and integration API, keeping these vendors coordinated around donor and transaction data is painless and efficient.

  ### 2. High Powered, Low Cost

**What do you like best about CharityEngine?**

Provides an all-in-one system that doesn't require piecing together different elements from multiple different vendors. It's a one-stop shop that has some very powerful tools. What makes that even more impressive is that their pricing structure is very reasonable. When we were in the market for a new CRM system, pricing was very important to us as a nonprofit organization. Their costs were significantly lower than other vendors we looked at who offered less functionality.

**What do you dislike about CharityEngine?**

The system can be buggy. Support tends to be good about fixing the bugs, but not always about communicating when the fix will be implemented. It would be nice to get some follow-up from Support with an exact release date of the fix.

**What problems is CharityEngine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old system was very disconnected. There was never good data between email subscribers and advocates and donors. With CharityEngine, that's all tied together in one system and we can build a more complete view of our constituents than we could in our old system.

  ### 3. All-in-one platform to streamline data and efficiency

**What do you like best about CharityEngine?**

It’s ideal to have an all-in-one platform with elements that connect: contact management (including visibility between a contact and their employer), donations, email management, web forms, event management and advocacy. We can create almost any kind of data report you can think of with some practice, and those with more experience can build reports for those with almost no database experience to do reporting, analytics, choose a segmented audience for an email, etc. They have a lot of out-of-the-box solutions for basic web form building. They were also very hands-on during implementation to thoroughly assess our data that came from several different sources.

**What do you dislike about CharityEngine?**

While I love that they’re constantly looking for how to improve the system, it sometimes comes to the detriment of communication back to users about what has changed and how it can benefit us (or even communication internally on when features are available). There’s been some slow growth in that area. Customer support is great, but can sometimes take a while to get a resolution. While they have extensive documentation in their help center, it’s a little cumbersome to navigate if you’re trying to find something very specific, and I’m sure it’s hard for them to keep it up-to-date due to new features. Webform building is challenging if you want to modify elements outside of their out-of-the-box solutions; if you have experience with HTML, that may not be an issue for you.

**What problems is CharityEngine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to CharityEngine, we had several separate platforms for different tasks, so switching to CharityEngine has helped streamline subscription costs and efficiency, resolved disconnected data, and helped my colleagues to all be using the same platform. Examples of connections we were never able to identify previously: a contact who took advocacy action is also a donor, or that their employer is part of our alliance, or that someone who attended an event is now reading our emails and what they’re clicking on. We can also do advanced segmentation for email campaigns based on any element to tailor our marketing communications. I also like the systems in place to automatically manage emails (suppress bad emails, allow options for contacts to manage their email preferences, etc.)

**What do you like best about CharityEngine?**

I love the functionality of CE. CE has been very useful to me as a start-up a non-profit organization to have multiple tools at my fingertips. I am appreciative of the ways that I can almost completely run my business through the backend of CE. We are scheduled to launch in the Fall of 2023, but we knew that getting all of our backend items secured would help us tremendously. I couldn't be more grateful for the ways that CE has given me the tools I need to succeed.

**What do you dislike about CharityEngine?**

CE does require a bit of tech knowledge or experience. I come from a zero-tech-experience background, which has made understanding things a bit more challenging on the forefront. There are some items that I wish were ready "out of the box", and I had to learn the hard way why things weren't appearing as I thought that I had set them up.

CE does offer training and a great implementation team/program. I just felt like there was something missing and I wasn't fully understanding all the aspects of CE as I was "released" from my implementation program. Would have loved to have a deeper training offered so I understood WHY I was doing the things I was.

**What do you like best about CharityEngine?**

CharityEngine is user-friendly, comes with full support, and allows all your business needs to be maintained and tracked in one location. It is truly a one-stop shop and more than just a management program.

**What do you dislike about CharityEngine?**

As a user for almost three years, I have yet to find anything I do not like about CharityEngine.

**What problems is CharityEngine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CharityEngine is resolving its previous communication issues on new products and services by offering demos and discussions. This is very helpful when looking for new ways of growing our business and reaching into new areas of our industry.

**What do you like best about CharityEngine?**

Easy, intuitive and very dynamic. It can perform all we need and tracks all our important data.

**What do you dislike about CharityEngine?**

Charity Engine does not store or catalogue historical data. That would be very helpful.

**What problems is CharityEngine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Database management and also member outreach and engagement. CE makes things very intuitive and automation helps tremendously.

**What do you like best about CharityEngine?**

CE can do almost anything. It's helpful to have so many functions from web pages to donations to contact management all in one place.

**What do you dislike about CharityEngine?**

It can be a challenging system to learn. It's helpful to have some html knowledge, although not necessary. It's not as intuitive as I would like it to be, and support can take a while at times (it's good support, they just seem to be low-staffed).

**What problems is CharityEngine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CE has given us a way to create registration forms on our website while keeping all of the participant info in one place. It has allowed us to do some pretty advanced email campaigns as well.

My organization needs a software that can provide a lot of data and CharityEngine delivers.

The software offers alot, and can take some time to really understand the tools and how to use them to maximum effect.

We are always adapting to our donors and CharityEngine has been a great partner.

The support staff are very responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about CharityEngine?**

Navigating between the apps seems a bit cumbersome, but we are still in the very early stages of using it, so haven't learned all the tricks yet!

**What problems is CharityEngine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have a CRM in place prior to working with Charity Engine, so now we have all our contacts in one place and we anticipate greatly improved marketing, with targeted emails.
