The interactive rendering is a bit slow, especially if I have a lot of assets in the project (vegetation), which is often the case... the parsing times significantly slow down my work, which is frustrating, and the IR lacks responsiveness. I would like an ultra-responsive preview like GPU, a bit like in Enscape, even if the rendering is different from the final rendering, it would allow me to adjust 70% of the rendering (materials, assets, lights) much more smoothly, and finalize the rendering settings later, with the IR or even the production rendering. I have serious doubts about the pricing system of AI tools, I find that 100 credits associated with my subscription is ridiculous given the price I pay... I prefer not to use AI tools (I find the AI enhancer mediocre, it wastes a lot of time - exports, bugs, etc., for a result that doesn't add much to the overall quality of my image) rather than buying additional credits. Paying to test with Veras makes no sense to me. Moreover, for image enlargements, I can very well do it with Photoshop (Topaz works very well), and I have many more credits in my Photoshop subscription (which also gives me access to Nano Banan). Regarding AI enhancer, the exports are buggy, I have to turn off and restart C4d each time, restart the calculation, etc... the AI enhancer does not detect all the characters, for example, and makes really mediocre renderings on the characters that I cannot select manually. I have never had a correct result with vegetation, so I gave up on that. The AI enhancer should streamline my work and save me time, but the opposite is happening, especially since an additional step of image enlargement is needed (I work at a minimum of 5000px, like all architectural visualizers, 4k is not enough). Finally, the cosmos browser is great, but since version 14, it only opens once, after which I have to restart C4d, or go through the web version which doesn't work very well, it's an incredible and frustrating waste of time. Finally, even though it's unrelated, I would like to be able to use Vantage with a GPU that is not RTX, even with degraded performance, I cannot buy a new computer or invest in an eGPU just to test Vantage... or maybe integrate a tool into Corona that allows real-time rendering and Anima integration, for all the preview-animation work? Again, even if it's not the same software, Enscape does it very well with slightly older GPUs. To conclude, I have a lot of drops in calculations, whereas previously, Corona was smoother in calculations... maybe because now I use the 'environment' option of the corona sky, which I like, but it frankly slows down the renderings, I feel. And the displacements, frankly, they have never worked well on Corona (geometry bugs, missing a function that preserves edges, not very clean rendering, especially for floors, even with 8k textures, even with a screensize of 1px...), whereas it is essential for architectural renderings. I have seen complaints about this for a long time, and it hasn't improved, even though the Displacement tag is handy (overriding the rendering quality to 1px). The rendering size integrated into the camera tag is cool, the problem is that it doesn't match the preview window (the image is zoomed in the C4d window, for example), I have to launch an IR to check my viewpoint, another waste of time... In short, overall, where my work should be smoother and Corona should save me time, the opposite is happening, and it's frankly a problem... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. It's widely supported with 3D models and textures, and if you need any help, you can find it easily online. It's very commonly used and efficient. It helps me to do visuals faster, which means I can earn more money when doing my work faster. Combined with a good computer, this tool is very powerful. Good materials and models selection consumes very little time compared to creating models and textures myself. Chaos Corona is cheaper and easier to get used to than any other rendering engine. Another thing that was tricky was cloud licensing, although it's not a problem now after the last update. Finding how to activate the license initially took more time than expected.
