**What do you like best about Certinia CS Cloud?**

I like best about Certinia PS Cloud is how easy it is to configure and use, thanks to its native integration with the Salesforce platform. You get the full power of Salesforce capabilities, and most tasks can be completed with just a few clicks through its clean, user-friendly interface.

The UI is intuitive, making it easy to navigate for both new and experienced users. It supports seamless time tracking, resource management, and project management, all within a single, scalable platform.

Implementation is straightforward, and the tool adapts well as business needs grow. Customer support has been excellent, and the platform has become a core part of our daily operations—we use it frequently across teams.

I've noticed that the loading time of the page is too much, thus there may be certain things that may be done better.

it is easy to use because it is built on the Salesforce platform. It has some features like managing staff, customers, projects, financials, etc, and quick customer support.it is very easy to implement and easy to integrate with the other applications as well. The frequency of use PS Cloud is very quick.

i don't think so, there is any drawback .

actually, it is very easy to use so anyone can start learning and working on that, having very little code so most of the things we can achieve through customization only. we basically use PS Cloud for Project mgt, Resource mgt, time mgt, skill mgt, revenue mgt, service CPQ, and many more.

**What do you like best about Certinia CS Cloud?**

PS Cloud covers almost all the requirements a company could have to maintain a good customer relationship. Particularily the new features added to the Time Entry recently are really great. It is very easy to use, even for a new user who is not familar with the PSA Architecture happens to understand it nicely very soon. I have implemented PSA for a few customers and its quite simple to implement. Customer support that Certenia provides is absolutely great. My final comments would be, I recommend using PSA!!

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

I feel some altogether new objects can be added to the PS Cloud to even more better. I have seen quite a few customizations that many a customers do to PSA, so if Certenia could do some research on their customers about what customizations they are doing on PSA, that might help you to get some new ideas!

**What problems is Certinia CS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resource Management is one of the great feature that helps us manage the resources efficiently. 
Project Managment is yet another great feature that helps us manage the ongoing projects and maintain various versions of it to compare it from.

**What do you like best about Certinia CS Cloud?**

I like the Workspaces, and how they're configured for each of the typical services-related personas (e.g., Project Manager, Resource, etc.). They are highly configurable and ensure that when each person logs in, they land on a view that gives them precisely what they need at a glance. They can navigate easily from a single page, view their most desired reports or dashboard parts, see their schedule, enter time, approve time, and more. Additionally, it's a powerful resourcing tool, particularly for Resource Managers in larger organizations where there's a need to fill requests quickly and efficiently daily. The suggested resource feature, and the many ways you can filter your resources to find the best fit, by skill or certification, for example, are spectacular.

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

The limitations I see most often are related to the inability to adequately or accurately integrate schedules in Certinia with external tools, such as Outlook Calendar. Additionally, I find that customers do not initially like the Gantt page layout as it can be challenging to find the real estate needed to see all of the columns of data and the Gantt calendar visual simultaneously. However, with proper training, and use, most people grow accustomed to the page layout.

First and foremost, it's getting customers out of multiple systems and giant spreadsheets. It's a singular place to manage projects, resources and customers. It streamlines processes and communication making it harder for essential items to slip through the cracks. There's a more comprehensive and accurate view of data and visibility across the organization for executives and key stakeholders. The KPIs are visible on the workspace and explicitly filtered for the user so that they only see the data they need to see.

FinancialForce's PSA module is an excellent middleman between Salesforce and Financialforce's accounting offering. If you're looking to consolidate software systems, this is a no-brainer.

The setup process has slight differences from the financial package. Both products being a mostly interchangable admin experience would benefit users and admins alike.

**What do you like best about Certinia CS Cloud?**

We used FF as our main CRM and also as a way to keep track of our internal communications with clients. I love how FF has a wide variety of ways to input and track clients. I also love how much customization is possible to meet our specific needs.

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

Because FF is based on the cloud, this causes problems sometimes with slow loading speeds and crashes for no real reason. It's not as stable as I would like. There are also some strange limitations like only being able to have one custom variable on a report.

Its the main administrative platform that we use and it does a great job of keeping us all organized. It is much easier to create and manage projects and insure that everyone is spending a good amount of time on projects.

Ease of use and being connected to Salesforce.  This platform provides a single source of truth for all our projects.  Using FF we can get our project managers off of several manual tools and processes.

We have not experienced any scenario that we were not able to solve with a feature of FinancialForce.  We are exploring more features and asks as we enter into phase 2, but we are optimistic we will find solutions.

The PSA Direct for Jira integration did not fit our operational requirements and there were concerns around the stability of the data.

It would be useful if in future the integration was not focused around business projects as it only recognises a few jira issue types.

Great tool for source of truth company wide. It helps the company to evaluate data with its out of the box reports and Analytics metrics reporting.

I like that FinancialForce is continuously updating and making the product very user-friendly. Their CSMs are always very supportive and available to help us.

I am still a bit troubled by the slowness of FinancialForce, but it is bearable. It would be very nice if we could make it work quickly.

I am a FinancialForce user managing data cleanup and ensuring that our required fields are populated in PSA; it is faster for me to finish this task because of how easy it is to update the fields. A little bit slow to load but it does the job.

**What do you like best about Certinia CS Cloud?**

It definitely helps our business accomplish our Jobs To Be Done, and centralize and use our data. This is a way for us to get out of spreadsheets and onto a single platform, unlocking the ability for data insights and automation.

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

Our implementation has very low ease of use scores and our UX is rated poorly at the moment. It is possible to customize/implement the tool and have it not be good. That's on us more than on FF, but I think it could be easier to succeed than it is. And the training is expensive.

**Recommendations to others considering Certinia CS Cloud:**

We have the premium service contract, and I can say that the Customer Success Manager helps a great deal. FF PSA is definitely worth serious consideration. The tool, however, will not protect from poor business process design, so don't neglect your own internal staffing.

Assignments, Casting, Delivery Milestones, Project Extensions, Project Management, Resource Demand, Resource Management, Resource Requests, Skills Management, Timecards, Utilization.

Easier to collaborate and share data, and report on data. Easier to mine the data for alerts and action items. Able to connect data together in coherent workflows which were not possible before because different business units owned/controlled the data. This is helping us change our company culture and identity by connecting people and workflows and revealing data.

FinancialForce is based on the Salesforce platform so the reporting is insightful. We can use tools such as Einstein to dig deeper into projects and use the data which link our opportunities and projects together to help increase of understanding of how projects are managed. We can also link all our oppportunities and projects together helping with our goal of having one tool for the complete project cycle.

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

Because the tool is based on the Salesforce UI it's not the most flattering. As you work more with FinancialForce and understand that you can change all the page layouts, it does get better, but it can take some time to get used to.

**Recommendations to others considering Certinia CS Cloud:**

When implementing FinancialForce make sure you are testing thoroughly. User adoption is critical, so make sure this is done as early as possible. Also, licensing is essential. Get your permission and permission sets correct.

We are getting a lot more out of our data. WE can see where our projects are pacing more accurately and deep dive into why by looking at task time and project burn.

FFA offers a wealth of online training resources within the Financial Force Community.  Our CSM is highly responsive and helpful whenever her assistance is needed.

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

While opening a case within the FF Community is very straightforward and efficient, obtaining a resolution can be frustrating.  Frequently I feel that the details I provided in my original case description are ignored, and time is wasted by answering questions from the support team that I have already answered.

**What problems is Certinia CS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FinancialForce provides the solution that our finance department needs with billing, invoicing, and financial reporting.   Productivity in these areas has increased due to the seamless integration with Salesforce.

**What do you like best about Certinia CS Cloud?**

I like the ability to track time across hundreds of projects for dozens of employees in an efficient way. We build project templates that encompass standardized project tasks, allocations per resource type, and standard project tracking metrics for every sale. FinancialForce has one of the slickest UIs for time entries in a PSA tool, and the ability for us to connect these projects to clients in Salesforce is a huge plus!

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

I have a minor nit with the utilization calculations; the billable utilization is slightly off when calculating the monthly percentage for us. In addition, the status report button doesn't produce a great report out of the box. I will be checking in with their CS team on the first item and will resolve the second item in the next few weeks. FinancialForce is still significantly better than our previous solution.

We're sharing information across teams (Sales, PS, Customer Success, Support, Renewals teams, etc.), lockign project changes after revenue is recognized each month, scaling our services teams, and executing against standardized project plans.

We selected FinancialForce PSA to instill the basics of portfolio management: resource and capacity management, resource and revenue forecasting, utilization calculations, project management reporting and rollups, and invoicing. We've been successful with portfolio management because of FinancialForce.

Salesforce isn't the most user friendly interface, so the usability limitations of Salesforce often inhibit the adoption of our heavy project management users.

If portfolio management is your priority, FinancialForce PSA is a solid option.

Prior to FinancialForce we had no ability to manage capacity, forecast revenue and resource/staffing needs, and our invoicing was perfomed manually with significant revenue leakage. Those problems have all been solved now.

Definitely the look and feel. If you want adoption of teams they have to find the tool nice. For exemple "Monday" is a low value tool but a lot of people try it because it looks nice like an apple OS.

We succeed to delete a lot of out of the box data like nightmare spreadsheets or excel files. Thanks to date, data is definitely accurate et easy to find in a second.

Broad capabilities around resource management and it's ability to integrate with multiple other technologies. It gives us options to grow into an adoption model. It's the benchmark for PSA solutions.

Somewhat difficult to find workflow solutions, so it requires integrations with workflow tools like JIRA, etc. Also concerned with needing to drive customer-facing deliverables (project plans, etc). There are solutions for these things, but it doesn't seem to be native to PSA.

Automating very manual resource allocations processes and getting better with forecasting activity, revenue, and understand project margins better.

**What do you like best about Certinia CS Cloud?**

---Ease of use.
---Incredibly flexible and configurable.
---Great support staff, and concept of customer success manager works very well.
---Integrates seamlessly with Salesforce so the opportunity to project is straight out of box.
---In general, the application works well after some hiccups initially implementation-wise.  These issues were more largely due to the change in business process, in my opinion.  

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

--Reporting in Salesforce/PSA generally could be better.  Although it is very easy to use from a transactional standpoint, we struggled at go-live with an inability to create effective management/executive reports.  We eventually went implemented Wave to do more executive level reporting.

--Because we were on an old Oracle ERP, we were not able to utilize many of the financial functions related to PSA.  

--Data migration was very challenging, but that's not a product-issue...:).  

**Recommendations to others considering Certinia CS Cloud:**

In your implementation, make sure to scope out data migration correctly, and really evaluate your reporting, and where Salesforce/PSA may fall short.

These were our 2 biggest mistakes.  

**What problems is Certinia CS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

---Our services business was completed disconnected system-wise from the rest of the business before we put Services on Salesforce/PSA.  They were on a home-grown application for opportunities, project and resource tracking.

--With PSA, everyone is on the same process now.  In addition, PSA now gives all PM, Directors, Finance, Operations an effective tool to see project status.  We are off spreadsheets to do percent complete calculations, and that has improved our financial closes.

--Timecard entry was also a challenge as we were on a 10 year old version of Oracle.  Timecard entry is now much easier and simplified for field users.

--Forecasting is now simpler and all in one tool.  We no longer input "dummy" Services opportunties in Salesforce, and due to the Wave implementation, we have a dashboard for Revenue Forecast every quarter.

The reports are not able to be printed/produced by product.  Our organization has 53 products, and the client-facing report must be produced by product in order to be meaningful to our customers.  Today, this is not part of the functionality and is very much a stumbling block to our adoption of the tool.

Be sure that your client-facing reports are specific enough to be meaningful to your client base.

The time entry look and feel is a bit complex. Perhaps this is how it was implemented so there may be some configuration opportunities to improve how it can be better used. The user experience can be improved greatly but again, that may be how implemented. The search capability doesn't always bring up the full list so it requires more digging to find what you are looking for.

The user experience would greatly benefit from being more light-weight. 
It is difficult to figure out how to fit your business processes into the constructs that PSA offers.  There are different project management methodologies that suit different customer projects, and it would be helpful if PSA were able to adapt and guide the user through these different ways of managing projects.

Phase out the rollout, focus heavily build adoption and sponsorship, understand the styles of project management across your company, create lots of training that is updated regularly.

Project management, time entry, and billing for a PS organization.  We use PSA for time entry and automated billing (outside of PSA) but adoption is poor for overall usage of the product.

The Project and Resource Planners are fantastic tools for seeing resource availability and planning, time logging is smooth, and you get a lot of great data out of the tool if you're entering it right. Automatic calculations of resource utilization, according to our own business rules and holiday calendar is great. Being able to see costs and margin alongside revenue accrual is nice.

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

Figuring out permissions has been a huge headache, as they're managed via several different types of Salesforce functionality. 

There are also a lot of calculations done on the back end via batch processes, and sometimes figuring out which actions do or do not trigger those calculations can be frustrating, since they're not happening in real time. 

It is difficult to ensure data cleanliness as there are so many manual data entry points, not all of which can be automated. I find myself doing manual cleanup regularly.

**Recommendations to others considering Certinia CS Cloud:**

Put great thought into your implementation and don't cut corners. The thought you put into your data migration and the investment you make in the customization and automation of the tool will greatly affect user adoption and the reliability of your data.

**What problems is Certinia CS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resource Planning - This is fantastic and by far the most realized benefit of FF to date. FF has enabled me to improve my team's utilization, and bring in contractors for burst capacity support at the right times.

More granular time tracking - This has definitely been achieved with FF, although the timecard interface does have some room for improvement, it's light years ahead of what we had in the past and it's similar to other tools I've used for time tracking.

Better reporting on financial aspects of projects - This is a pro and a con. We have the capability, but keeping the data accurate enough to be reliable has been a challenge, as it's still a pretty manual process.

**What do you like best about Certinia CS Cloud?**

I've been working with FinancialForce's PSA tool for almost 3 years now to full satisfaction. 

The best part of FF PSA are:
- It's native to Salesforce, so it has the same look and feel, and the same logic. This is increases ease of use and adoption.
- The product offers everything you need in a Pro Services organization, and already has features we didn;t even think of as an organization yet
- Their Support team is top notch, and always find a solution in a quick way




**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

- Their project and resource planners are great. A competitive advantage over Netsuite for example who don't have something as sweet as this. The thing with the planners is that it takes a while to load (5-10 seconds), which is frustrating for power-users. They are working on fixing it.


**Recommendations to others considering Certinia CS Cloud:**

With a new management put in place at our company we looked into Netsuite just to see what they can do, and although it was solid, FF PSA was the better fit for us.

**What problems is Certinia CS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FF PSA allows us to efficiently manage projects, resource, timecards, billing, etc all out of one tool that runs on our Salesforce org. Some people have a hard time differentiating between SFDC and FF, which is a good thing. 

It's easy to use and the reports help us analyze past and current metrics and issues, and predict in precise way future metrics and act on it.

The biggest strength of FinancialForce PSA is that it's built upon the force.com platform, and is easy to customize.   FFDC support is outstanding.  There are a lot of great new features on the road map which will help support our business processes.

**What do you dislike about Certinia CS Cloud?**

Like with all managed packages, the inability to update managed code leads to many customizations that need to be considered when making future upgrades.  Version upgrades are not pushed automatically like what we're use to from Salesforce.com.  I would prefer if they were pushed automatically into our sandbox first.  

**Recommendations to others considering Certinia CS Cloud:**

PSA is a solid product and is improving greatly with every new release.  Huge improvements have been made since we originally implemented that have increased efficiency in many of our business areas.  Our Customer Success Manager is amazing.  Support is incredible!

**What problems is Certinia CS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quoted Margin vs Actual Margin analysis (for Projects), Resourcing and Utilization optimization.  With the most current version (PSA V12), we are able to have a solid view of our resource availability and their utilization.  With the two-way feed between PSA and MS Project, we can create Task Timelines inside PSA relatively quickly.  Our resource managers don't need to spend as much time researching resource availability.  This is a huge win.
