Revenue Cycle Management is a huge product by Cerner and one of the primary and early products that hospitals have used over the years. They have enormous features in one product like registration, billing, Transaction posting, Account management, etc. The product has been evolved, and since years, they have added new features to it, overall it is a stable product. There are new products in the healthcare industry with better UI and better technologies. The revenue cycle still is in 1995 tech stack. They use Java SWT components for the frontend with HTML, CSS, and CCL as their main query language for the backend. CCL was prevalent during 1995, but now with so many new technologies, its time for Cerner to shift to the latest tech stack; however they don't have the resources to do that.
