From the initial contact made with the sales team, the support and advice has been excellent also bringing features to my attention that I didn't know about but have been really useful and also very easy to use and integrate in to my existing setup.
The software gives me excellent insight in to my streaming and gives me confidence in providing my services to my customers.

After a short learning curve, the setup is relatively straightforward. The team were helpful in understand our exact use case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use the starter plan as we are on a limited budget. Some of the feature restrictions such as losing the ability to save a Livestream after 3 days can be limiting, especially if a volunteer forgets to follow the process within the timeframe.
It can also be a little bit difficult to look at and predict the amount of bandwidth required and available storage, but not impossible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a Livestream Technician and Broadcast Specialist, I’ve found several upsides to using Castr.com for our Church’s live streaming needs:
Castr allows us to stream simultaneously to multiple platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. This feature has been instrumental in expanding our audience reach, ensuring that more members and non-members alike can access our church services, whether they’re in the Philippines or abroad.
During our usage from 2020 to 2021 and continuing now in Marilao, Castr has proven to be highly reliable. It minimizes interruptions and provides a stable stream, even during high-viewership services, which is crucial for maintaining a smooth worship experience.
The user-friendly interface and setup make it easy for our team to manage streams without requiring extensive technical training. This has been beneficial for scaling our operations and allowing other team members to handle the system confidently.
Castr’s analytics tools provide real-time insights into viewer engagement and stream performance. This information is valuable for understanding our audience's preferences and optimizing future broadcasts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Despite its many advantages, there are a couple of downsides:
While the basic features are robust, accessing premium functionalities such as higher bitrate streaming or custom branding often comes at a higher cost. For non-profit organizations like ours, this can strain our budget.
While their online documentation is extensive, offline support during real-time technical issues is somewhat lacking. There have been instances where immediate assistance was unavailable, leaving us to troubleshoot critical problems independently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the fact that it launches my streams automatically for me. I no longer have to go and start the stream on Facebook and YouTube, it just does it for me. I love the fact that it also allows me to stream directly to my website without going through another party. There are so many features, I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what all it can do. Implementation and integration were super easy. We simply pointed our ATEM to Castr and then told Castr where we wanted it to go. Had it up and running in our existing system without needing new hardware in a matter of a couple hours. We use this every week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes there are so many options that I don't even know what to do. Their online documentation can be difficult to find, but customer support is usually good about getting me the info I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how easy to use Castr is and it makes my life so much easier to go live on multiple platforms with just one click, I love it! I'm new to multi-streaming so it's the perfect tool for me as it's also very affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
None so far! I've only been using it for a few days but everything is fantastic so far! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Castr.com for a while now, and I have to say, it's an absolute game-changer for anyone looking to stream video content with ease. From the moment I started, the platform felt incredibly intuitive, even for someone like me who isn't a tech expert. Within minutes, I was up and running, streaming to multiple platforms at once – YouTube, Facebook, Twitch – you name it, Castr handles it effortlessly.
What I love most about Castr is the reliability. I’ve had no issues with lag or buffering, even when my internet connection wasn't at its best. The adaptive bitrate streaming feature works like magic, ensuring my viewers get the best experience no matter what.
Another thing that stood out is the real-time analytics. It’s awesome to see live stats on how my streams are performing, and it really helps me make decisions on the fly. Plus, their customer support has been incredibly responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had questions or needed advice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the more advanced features took a bit of time to figure out, but once I got the hang of it, it’s been smooth sailing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer service is amazing. Everytime I click on the chat button, I pretty much get somebody instantly. They are very helpful and understand what I'm talking about and provide documentation for me to take away and study. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few simple additions to their livestreaming functions that would help their clients. An example is scheduling a live stream by the minute. My stream is dependent on having daylight, and it would be nice to know that my quota is not being used up by useless data transmitted during night time hours. I have found a work around by putting my system on an electrical timer so the whole camera turns off at sunset and the feed drops.
They recently added an "email list" for their paywall, so you can add emails and generate passwords for those that you want to give a "bypass" option to so they don't have to pay for your livestream. The passwords are automatically generated, long and complicated and can't be edited. It would be great to be able to 1) import a mailing list, 2) export a list of emails and passwords generated by the system, 3) manuall edit the passwords to simpler versions if needed. No upsides so far, the experience is great and stream stability is excellent! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part of Castr is that it's easy to use for those new to streaming! We were able to easily integrate it with our current software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside to Castr is that there is no non-profit discount. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple to set up and use. We push High school athletic events to a Facebook and youtube page. The program is very easy for even a beginner to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Castr is very easy to set up, however some days it does create a large lag in the service. Make sure you have a good connection and it should be limited. We have been a user for several years, they keep offering lower prices for new customers, as our cost rise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
