What do you like best about CAST Highlight?

There are two top things that I like about CAST ( Highlight ):

1. Ease of use;

2. Derived insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CAST Highlight?

Nothing comes to mind. I did not experience any issues nor do I dislike anything about Highlight at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CAST Highlight solving and how is that benefiting you?

The primary problem solved was understanding the level of effort to migrate a portfolio of applications to Cloud. In a period of a couple of weeks, we were able to analyze a portfolio of around 100 applications and identify: overall software health compared to industry benchmarks, vulnerabilities and risks as well as blockers and boosters. Based upon this understanding, we were able to prioritize the efforts by building associated business cases for each application. This ultimately led to evidence-based, informed decision making. The details of the insight you get about the application scanned to plan for migration to Cloud. CAST Highlight analysis of the application source code can provide deeper insights on specific actions needed to develop a detailed roadmap and execute the Applications modernization roadmap. Details insight into the code quality and offers excellent boosters. CAST suite of tools improves Application Modernization and Application Management capabilities. For example, the exclusive Open Source Software Intelligence Database (OSSIDB) which is only available in CAST Highlight is made possible using the structural quality analysis engine from the CAST MRI (formerly AIP). While the insights are very useful, the ability to add additional patterns/detection might be beneficial, especially for highly customized and legacy applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
