Cloud Readiness/Container Blockers is a differentiator

Product Licensing - Cost is too high, the dont have pay as you go models.

What do you like best about CAST Highlight?

The portfolio analysis showing the cloud-ready score versus cloud effort is quite insightful. Also, the business impact versus effort is helpful for CIOs/Tech executives thinking of adopting long versus short-term approach to cloud migration to gain maximum effect. What do you dislike about CAST Highlight?

There could be survey questionnaires for assessing COTS applications whose source code is not available for scanning. Typical such workloads could be SAP HANA, Oracle ERP systems, MS Sharepoint, etc. In the current state, COTS applications assessment is not possible which is a miss in my view. On the comment regarding the COTS application survey, there are some surveys already in the product for capturing basic information about COTS applications. However, we will consider enhancing this survey. Also, there is the option to create custom surveys in CAST Highlight which is described in our Getting Started Guide available via this link.

What do you like best about CAST Highlight?

CAST Highlight is very straight forward to start use, easy to learn and implement. Is a potent tool to support Code Refactor and can be used once to start an App Modernization project or recurrently to help adjust the code maturity through the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CAST Highlight?

CAST Highlight is not that simple to configure on CI/CD Pipelines - a Docker image is needed when talking about applications that is already on cloud. And the documentation is a little bit difficult to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CAST Highlight?

1. CAST Highlight portal not at all works for me as a desktop application. I have to always log in via its site.

Vulligadla, thank you for your review and product feedback. Regarding your feedback on the portal, CAST Highlight is a SaaS product and does not offer a desktop portal interface. It is designed to be used as a light-weight web UI via any browser.
