When I say that CSB talks the talk, it means that they completely understand any challenge you bring their way. nothing is too out of left field for them to work alongside you with. They have helped me identify gaps that I wouldn't have otherwise considered in creating case studies faster. Case Study Buddy has made it easy for us to produce more case studies. They are always there to answer questions, help our customers through the process, and deliver outstanding results & assets that we use to power our customer storytelling initiatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are minimal downsides to using Case Study Buddy, but one thing I would suggest is a better project-tracking portal. I'd love to see all the projects and activities we've completed with them without having to search through my emails. I think that maybe I wasn't the best POC because I had to work with others in my company who had the best knowledge of our client's work. For future case studies, I might try to simply connect them directly to CSB so they can get the best internal knowledge directly from our account team and the best client feedback directly from the client themselves. The team that we worked with were clearly very organised and knowledgable, making it easy for us to get going and to trust them. Trust is a big deal because we're asking them to work with our clients directly, so what makes them quick and efficient, also raises concerns around how they'll handle the relationship. But the trust was well placed and they were excellent to work with and our clients even enjoyed the process of talking about their projects with us.

Nothing to dislike at all really. Getting going with the very first case study takes a little time, but once you've done the first one, the process becomes very clear and efficient. The hardest bit can actually be getting clients on board and invested into the process of building a case study, but Case Study Buddy also helps with this by providing guidance and templates for these conversations. We used Case Study Buddy to generate a number of case studies with users of our SaaS product at Content Harmony. We had a relatively easy time identifying teams that would be a good fit for a case study, but we have a small team and limited time to invest in all marketing activities, and our team doesn't have the inhouse skills to do decent interviews with our customers that would be as thorough or objective as the CSB team.
The CSB team was super flexible with our team's requirements, brand and product angles we wanted to cover, and getting everything scheduled with our customers. In all cases we walked away with customer insights that we never would have gotten from our own internal process, and the finalized PDF assets were easy to convert into webpages on our site. The quotes from case studies made for the exact customer proof points we needed to add to our core service pages as well.

No real downsides except for how many case studies we can afford to do each year as a small team.
There are still logistical steps that you need to do as the buyer to make sure CSB gets connected well with your customers but we were able to convert those communication steps more or less into canned email templates that we could customize for each case study we did. No major dislikes when it comes to CSB, i do have to educate the team a bit about our offering and the problems we solve, but that's the be expected.
