"Fast, Intuitive Platform with Seamless Billing, Claims, and Automated Intake"
5/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

Unified Billing & Claims: It links appointments directly to invoices, making it incredibly easy to track claim statuses, manage modifiers, and log payments without double-entry.

Modern, Clean Interface: Unlike clunky, outdated medical databases, it is fast and intuitive, meaning fewer clicks to get tasks done.

Automated Client Intake: You can send digital paperwork packets through the portal that automatically save to the client's chart once completed, saving massive amounts of administrative time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

Limited Customization for NPI/Billing Routing: If you manage a group practice or need to frequently toggle between a Group NPI (Type 2) and an Individual Rendering NPI (Type 1) across different insurance payers, the backend configuration can be rigid and sometimes requires manual workarounds to ensure claims don't reject.

Steep Learning Curve for Complex Insurance Rules: While the interface is clean, troubleshooting specific insurance rejections, coordinating multiple clients under a shared family insurance plan, or managing complex modifiers isn't always fully automated. You still have to do a fair amount of manual oversight.

Customer Support Gaps: Because it is a rapidly growing cloud platform, support is primarily handled via email or chat tickets. If you hit a critical billing error right before a major claims submission deadline, the lack of immediate, live phone support can be frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jamie Frew of Carepatron

Hi Candise, thank you for such a thoughtful review! We're thrilled that unified billing, the clean interface, and automated intake are saving your practice real time. Your feedback on NPI/billing routing, complex insurance handling, and live support is genuinely valuable, these are areas our team is actively working on. Thanks for being part of the Carepatron community!

"Simple, User-Friendly Setup for Solo Multi-Specialty Providers"
5/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I like that is simple for multi-specialty providers that solo practitioners. I literally tried setting up at 4 Am and it was very user-friendly and not overwhelming at all by following the tutorials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

There’s nothing I dislike, but there are a few things I’ve noticed. Right now, I’m unable to add multiple CPT codes for appointment types. For example, I’m a chiropractor, and instead of creating two separate services, I’d rather be able to include the CPT codes with the AT modifiers under one service. I’d also like the option to send intake forms based on appointment type. I treat different populations, like prenatal vs. pediatric, so the intake forms aren’t the same.

It would also be helpful to have the ability to take a deposit, rather than requiring payment for the entire appointment upfront. Lastly, I’d love more customizable workflows. The current workflows feel pretty standardized, and my practice needs a bit more flexibility for me to use them the way I need.

I think a few additional integrations along the way would be great, too. Overall, I still love the simplicity and can’t wait to see how it progresses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Karina Jimenea of Carepatron

Nicole, setting up at 4 AM and finding it user-friendly? That honestly made us smile! We're so glad the simplicity has been working well for your multi-specialty practice.

Thank you for the detailed suggestions around CPT codes with modifiers, appointment-type-specific intake forms, deposit options, and more flexible workflows. These have all been passed along to our product team and are exactly the kind of insights that shape what we build next.

Thank you for being part of the Carepatron community!

"Customizable Forms and Helpful AI, but the App Scribe Needs Polish"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I like the customizability and the ability to create so many forms. It is helpful that there are templates and their AI integration seems to be helpful for note writing, though I think it could use some optimization time wise (especially on the app). It seems to be well worth the price. I have not yet utilized their support and onboarding, but I've been able to figure out a lot about it without the help which is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

I haven't had the best luck using the phone app with the AI Scribe feature. However, I think it could be better, maybe I just need more practice. I also wish that my visits changed colors or had a more significant notification / symbol for if the notes are written and the client has been billed. Or even a changing color after it says "client attended." However, it's been pretty good so far. A few of the features on the exact appointment can be a little bigger / bolder so it's more obvious where the note writing section is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Platform That Makes Virtual Sessions Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I love that it’s an all in one system that supports my business without unnecessary features that other platforms offer. I’m able to offer individual and group sessions, but what I love most is it supports virtual sessions without the need for additional software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

It has limitations as far as native support for packages, so I have to manually track those but that’s a minor issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Terrible platform."
0/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I honestly can’t think of anything that makes this platform beneficial to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

It wouldn’t sync my calendar, it can’t drag and move appointments around because you just have to make a new one. The appointment time set is terrible and you have to confirm it before actually being able to save it. The relationships setting for creating couples files does not work, and does not save, and you have to try several times before being able to actually save it. The online session interface is atrocious, it is serval windows in one window and it’s ugly and confusing to get it to work, and it won’t take up the screen. I can come up with more but I hate this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Support and Value, but Glitches and Insurance Billing Integration Issues Held Us Back"
3/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

Customer service/support team is great and extremely responsive. They offer an onboarding session with an employee that walks you through setting up , answers questions, and helps you customize the platform to work best for your practice. Pricing is competitive with other similar platforms, and actually a pretty good value for what is included. User interface is fairly intuitive. They have an AI chat feature to help answer logistical questions, and if it is not answering your specific question, quickly directs your concern/feedback to a live employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

The platform is pretty glitchy at times and doesn't support having multiple windows/tabs with Carepatron open, so many notes were lost because of this. The video platform also had various technical issues on both the client side and practitioner side. There were many obstacles in getting ERAs and payments set up, with many not integrating in even after 6 months. So a lot of billing had to be managed and tracked manually. There were also limitations in payers for electronic claims submission. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly EHR System with Team Collaboration Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I like that Carepatron is very user-friendly. I don't have much experience with EHR systems, but it makes it very easy for me. It didn't take me long to figure out things, like how to submit intakes, and it's easy for my clients to use, which is super important. I also appreciate that I can share things with my team of about 10 people. We can share templates that we all use together, coordinate things, and see each other's schedules. I like the scheduler feature too because I can create my availability and the scheduler can add clients to my caseload. It's also super simple to do billing because clients can store their card on file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

I'm not a fan of the AI system in Carepatron. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One, Affordable EHR That Covers Messaging, Telehealth, and Billing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I appreciate that Carepatron brings everything I need in an EHR system together in one place. Not having to pay for a separate HIPAA-compliant messaging platform, telehealth platform, or billing software is a big part of what made me choose Carepatron. The scheduling feature also integrated easily into my website, which was a relief since I’m not especially tech-savvy. On top of that, it’s one of the most affordable options on the market, which obviously doesn’t hurt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

It feels like a big learning curve to figure out all of the features of Carepatron and adjust to a new EHR. However, I think that would be the case with any other EHR I chose. The Carepatron team offers a lot of support getting set up though, so even that isn't too much of an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Client Management with Carepatron"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I really appreciate Carepatron's ability to create transcripts and decide how I want those notes written, which is very important to me. It's seamless and smooth. I also like that I can upload separate recordings which Carepatron then turns into transcripts and progress notes. The calendar feature is great, especially since I work with clients in different time zones; it's natural and makes it easy to set convenient times that appear in the correct time zones for my clients. I value the new features like interview summaries and templates—it means I don't have to sift through notes to stay updated. Being able to set my own templates is another plus. The reliability of the system lets me move between clients without worrying about the paperwork, and it's affordable, especially compared to Simple Practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

I'm an IFS counselor and it's very important that my progress notes aren't just out-of-the-box. They need to be very specific to the kind of work that I do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Karina Jimenea of Carepatron

Hi Jill! It's great to hear that the transcription, custom templates, multi-timezone scheduling, and interview summaries have all been coming together so seamlessly for your practice.

On the IFS-specific progress notes, that's a really valid need and we completely understand that out-of-the-box templates don't always cut it for specialized modalities. Our template designers would love to work with you on building something tailored specifically to your IFS practice.

"User-Friendly with Essential Features for Therapists"
5/5
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I find Carepatron very user-friendly, which is great because everything is exactly where I feel it should be. I really like the AI notetaker facets, which are very helpful. I appreciate how it combines all the clinical notes for each client, making it easy to find information when I need it. This really streamlines the process for me, especially when I'm in a hurry. The initial setup was easy, and as a new clinician, this user-friendly experience is proving beneficial as I grow my practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

I think it would be nice to be able to record not only the audio but also the video of clinical sessions. Being able to get a client's recording with consent would just make it a lot easier and integrated so that it doesn't seem awkward to ask for that during virtual sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Karina Jimenea of Carepatron

Hi Aimee! Congratulations on getting started! It's wonderful to hear that Carepatron has been such a smooth fit as you grow, and that the AI notetaker and combined clinical notes have been saving you time when you need it most.
